Oh nice! I do have some ideas for the soprano, but it'd be nice to know first what your new setup is on alto (i don't want to recommend a soprano set that's too much)

My set-up is the one you recommended about 1 1/2 months ago (Selmer C Star Mouthpiece and Vandoren 3 reeds). I'm experimenting with 3 and 3.5 Vandorens (currently liking 3.5 more but I'm still experimenting.)

I'd go with the exact same setup for soprano, but with 2 1/2 or 3 reeds. The gap in reed strength on soprano is huge; you'll find 2 1/2 to be really free blowing and easy to hit lower notes, and 3 will be a lot harder to blow and harder to hit lower notes (but will give you a much more warmer and rounded tone). Definitely go with 2 1/2 when starting on soprano, but change maybe later down the tram if you feel like it

Alright I'll give it a try. Thanks for your help! I cant wait to start playing soprano. Such a beautiful imstrument.
