OVERVIEW
IN-DEPTH
PORKCHOPMAN (Greninja) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Protean
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Waterfall / Low Kick
- U-turn
- Rock Slide
- Gunk Shot
This dude is the star of the team. He comes in clutch so much i gotta give this dude the mvp. Whilst making the rough draft for the team I was looking for ways to ensure a volcarona wouldnt sweep me. I got the idea of scarf greninja and decided to stick with it. greatest fucking creation ever. They told me that the set was a meme and its ass, but I had to prove em wrong. With this set you shit on volcarona, salamence after rocks, tapu koko, rain, while having the ability to create u-turn momentum. Don't play with scarf ninja.
Zygarde @ Dragonium Z
Ability: Aura Break
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Thousand Arrows
- Extreme Speed
No team feels complete without a ground type. So I got one that hits like a fucking truck. Using Dragonium Z helps me ensure kills on Pokemon that I wouldn't be able to kill at +1, such as maybe Defensive lando, mew, and tangrowth. Zygarde is such a threat to most teams and it fits way better than a Landorus on the team, as it's bulky as hell and can clean house later on. Overall this big ass snake helps me kill the other snakes in the grass.
Gengar @ Choice Specs
Ability: Cursed Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Wave
- Focus Blast
- Trick
Gengar has always been one of my favorite Pokemon of all time. So when I came back from a long break and found out that Gengar got nerfed, I got really sad. But the nerfs never stopped him. He may be vulnerable to ground moves now, but the damage he inputs is insane. Cursed body aint too bad either if you pray to the rng lords. With choice specs I deal a hefty load of damage and trick allows me to cripple Pokemon such as chansey.
Magearna @ Assault Vest
Ability: Soul-Heart
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Fleur Cannon
- Flash Cannon
- Volt Switch
- Aura Sphere
Honestly? I thought this thing was broken for a while. This thing hits so hard while absorbing specially offensive moves. This was my perfect answer to Pokemon such as Tapu Lele and Tapu Koko. Having volt switch gives me great momentum for my other hard hitters. There's not much to explain about this Pokemon anymore, it's just rlly fking good.
Tangrowth @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 212 Def / 48 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Giga Drain
- Knock Off
- Sleep Powder
- Hidden Power [Ice]
I needed a ground switchin while being able to cripple mons, so I thought Tangrowth was the perfect answer. It knocks off items and has access to sleep powder, which can really turn the tides of a game. HP Ice cripples opposing zygardes and landos. However, people have suggested to me that because mega metagross is gone, I don't need rocky helmet. This can be true, but the sleep powder is super helpful and it feels redundant to run two assault vests on the team. You can run it, but I don't think it would be as effective as it is.
Mawile @ Mawilite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 72 HP / 252 Atk / 184 Spe OR 248 HP / 144 Atk / 20 SpD / 96 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Fire Fang
- Play Rough
- Sucker Punch
To top it off, I realized I had no rocker and while thinking about Mawile, I almost forgot it learned stealth rock. So why not? With rocks it helps me set it up against stall teams, as most sableyes run away. Fire fang gives me a fire move for my team and helps me with ferrothorn. There is another EV spread you can run, but personally I've never used it. But I will put it in the RMT for others to try out!
WEAKNESSES
Knowledge - if the opposing team knows your scarfninja niche before the battle starts, then it's best to play it safe. they're going to play around it so the only thing you can do is make it even bigger a threat to their team. :]
Kingdra - if your opponent has rain and it gets a free switch into Kingdra then something is dying. the best thing you could probably do is sack something and try to revenge kill. otherwise rain isnt a problem without kingdra
Rocks/Hazards - despite having gengar for toxic spikes, stealth rock/spike stack can still do a hefty chunk to the team. you can definitely still play around it, however know your limits.
Mega Medicham - medicham can cripple the team if played right. what i do is try to get a switch into gengar in order to revenge kill something else.
Slurpuff - still the scariest muthafucka around
REPLAYS
