This is a funky HO team that features 5 very offensive Pokemon and an Alomomola, which you usually find on stall builds. Alomomola is very useful here as it serves as a pivot to take hits from things that really annoy offense like Mega Aerodactyl or Scarf Hydreigon, and can give a teammate a second chance with Healing Wish. The other members of the team are sweepers, so the aim is to to damage the opposing team and clean it with one of them. Finally, Scarf Krookodile serves as a useful revenge killer and "support" scarfer with Intimidate to weaken foes and Pursuit to trap Latias.

Deadline is Thursday, 20th April. Submissions with Terrakion won't be accepted.

Keldeo-Resolute @ Leftovers
Ability: Justified
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Secret Sword
- Substitute
- Calm Mind

Bisharp @ Assault Vest
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 216 Atk / 76 SpD / 216 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- Iron Head
- Sucker Punch
- Pursuit
Ever since the dawn of man, has Keldeo been paired with Pursuit support - and SM UU is no exception. The team above has exactly one Keldeo switch-in, Latias, which, unfortunately for the team in question, lacks recovery. Now one could just go about this and use Calm Mind + Icium-Z Keldeo and, without a doubt, do a good amount of damage to this team, making use of a lure set on Keldeo itself. Thankfully though, Keldeo has Bisharp to help it out so that it can do even more than just taking 1 or 2 'mons with it before being picked off by Choice Scarf Krookodile's Earthquake and priority from Scizor or Infernape: Win. Subsitute + Calm Mind Keldeo is a set that hasn't seen much usage as of late but with the right support it can devastate teams that solely rely on Latias to check it. The beauty of this core lies in its effective simplicity: A competent player will certainly think twice about switching Latias into Keldeo when there is a Bisharp lurking in the back, and even more so will he or she think about double switching on the predicted Bisharp switch-in when Latias eventually does come in on the Keldeo. Substitute takes advantage of that. The Poké-Doll-esque move eases prediction for yourself and punishes wrong prediction on the opponent's part immensely. The best way to secure a trap with this core versus the team in question would be to send Keldeo out against Infernape, Scizor, Nidoking, Alomomola or Krookodile locked into Pursuit or Stone Edge and use Substitute on the Latias switch-in. Pressured by the fierce look in Keldeo's eyes behind the Substitute, Latias will most likely use Psyshock break the protection, not wanting to risk the miss from Thunder, nor the drops from Draco Meteor, nor wasting the Z-move. The Keldeo user now simply switches with the Subsitute intact and brings in Bisharp on the Psychic move, which, equipped with an Assault Vest, proceeds to tank both Thunder and Gigavolt Havoc, and takes out Latias with two uses of Pursuit, provided the opponent does not switch. The next time Keldeo is maneuvered in safely, it has the freedom of spamming Scald versus Infernape, Scizor, Nidoking or Krookodile, not having to predict a thing nor needing to boost, while constantly recovering HP with the help of Leftovers. If Alomomola comes out, it gets to use Subsitute again and can safely Calm Mind to beat it 1v1. So there you have it: This was why the core of SubCM Keldeo + Pursuit Bisharp can dismantle the team featured in the seventh week of the UU Edition of Research Week™ very handily. Cheers!

Feraligatr @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Ice Punch
- Waterfall
- Dragon Dance
- Substitute

Latias (F) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Trick
- Healing Wish

This core aims to take advantage of this teams huge weakness to Feraligatr once it sets up atleast 1 DD. It Ohko's 5/6 members at +1 with either Ice Punch or Waterfall where as Alomomola is just set-up bait for Substitute as it litteraly can't touch Feraligatr. If Feraligatr first sweep doesn't work out Scarf Latias ensures the Healing Wish to allow Feraligatr to try to sweep once again.

Darmanitan @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Flare Blitz
- U-turn
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide

Noivern @ Choice Specs
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hurricane
- Draco Meteor
- Flamethrower / Switcheroo
- U-turn
Everything on this team is 2hko'd by Scarf Darmanitan aside from Alomomola; funnily enough, that gives a free switch into Specs Noivern (shoutouts: Lord Moet). Nothing on this team can switch into a Choice Specs boosted attack from Noivern. Noivern is pressured by its own moves shitty accuracy and Bullet Punch from Scizor, which Darmanitan doesn't mind switching in to. Scarf Krookodile is a pain once it can get in for free, but you have room for other team members to take advantage of it. Of course, this core is not infallible; it's pressured by Stealth Rock. I could see something like core shredder Tentacruel sitting nicely alongside these two, since it can come in relatively easily via U-turn support, providing Rapid Spin; and having decent matchup versus Infernape, Alo & Scizor, whilst beating Nidoking 1v1.

edit: slightly off topic, but I built a team around this core.

reserving offensive tenta + aero

Tentacruel @ Black Sludge
Ability: Liquid Ooze
EVs: 64 HP / 252 SpA / 192 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Rapid Spin

Aerodactyl-Mega @ Aerodactylite
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Aerial Ace
- Stone Edge
- Roost
- Pursuit

sets are a bit unconventional but since were tryna counter team here we go!

Offensive tenta serve as scizor and infernape check, you can even swap out sludge bomb for HP fire if u truly want to "counter" scizor. speed evs outspeed a jolly krook if the rest of ur team knocks off the scarf. giga drain can heal up on alomololoa (and swamperts u may face on other teams). Sludge bomb can alternativly poison alomlolaola to get more chip for aero to sweep later
Aero can get rid of the Lati switch in on tenta, altho you'll need some chip/momentum in order to pursuit trap. this team's Latias will likely stay in, so you can run crunch over roost, but roost is nice to serve as a decent Krook switchin, as it lives anything it may go for

252 Atk Krookodile Superpower vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Aerodactyl-Mega: 139-164 (46.1 - 54.4%)
252 Atk Krookodile Knock Off vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Aerodactyl-Mega: 114-135 (37.8 - 44.8%)

honestly not the best core but i think it would be useful against this team as well as other occasions.
obviously you would need a more solid infernape/scizor/Krook check, so i think hippo would be a great 3rd member, providing sand for Aero too to even better check Latias with but ye

Had a lot of succes in ULT and UUPL (used by soulgazer) with this cool semi-stall build. Everyones underprepared for Jelli rn, and since no one runs Toxic on Tentacruel it just dominates in combination with spikes.

The submissions deadline will be on Thursday, April 20th. Submissions with Terrakion aren't accepted for this week.

Happy submitting! n_n

sorry for the late response hope this is still ok

anyway: tornadus + hw clef

strife (Tornadus) @ Flyinium Z
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hurricane
- Heat Wave
- Grass Knot
- Taunt

lockheart (Clefable) (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 28 Def / 176 SpA / 52 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Flamethrower
- Healing Wish
- Soft-Boiled
aoa tornadus has plenty of fun vs this team with the only real stop being status from klefki or a healthy latias. clefable helps with both of those providing a safe switch-in to latias and curing tornadus of status/healing it. z-stone for skystrike to safely blow away lati, heat wave for klefki, grass knot for jelly and hippo. taunt in the last slot to prevent recovery and annoy (even though u could very well pack tw on a real team here). lo moonblast is for pressuring jelly and +1spdef lati better whereas flamethrower deals with amoong and klefki nicely. 28 def survive bewears return from full should the scenario arise and speed is enough to creep jelly (always run enough for unsuspecting sciz on offensive clef imo). healing wish grants tornadus another opportunity to break the team. tbh flamethrower might not even be necessary - i'd probably pack sr on a real team in that slot but since we're trying to cteam might as well.

I talked with Accelgor earlier and we are proroguing the deadline until next Thursday. Also, Ov3r Ac3, can you please do another submission? Gimmicks that are made to counterteam are not accepted here, such as Firium Z Honchkrow with a SpA benchmark to OHKO Klefki.

Primarina @ Choice Specs
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Moonblast
- Psychic
- Energy Ball

Chandelure @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Flamethrower
- Substitute
- Calm Mind

These two have an absolute field day against this team. Primarina with Energy Ball puts immense pressure on this team, hitting five out of six Pokemon for super effective damage with proper prediction. Once Primarina breaks the walls, Chandelure can set up. Once Hippowdon and Jellicent are out of the picture, nothing can touch Chandelure once it's boosted. The biggest issue that this core faces when fighting the team is Latias, which needs to be played around when Primarina is wallbreaking. If Primarina manages to land a Moonblast, Chandelure should manage win the Calm Mind war.

Hi, I'm back

Blastoise-Mega (M) @ Blastoisinite
Ability: Mega Launcher
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald / Water Pulse
- Dark Pulse
- Ice Beam
- Rapid Spin

Klefki (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Spikes
- Thunder Wave
- Toxic
- Play Rough

This hazard control puts in alot of work vs this team, the spin blocker of the opposite team is pressured by Blastoise making it almost impossible to keep rocks / spikes in your field and also the other mons of the team can't switch in freely thanks to Blastoise's coverage if we take into account that Klefki can provide the hazards (that can't be removed) it ends up with our rival having very limited switch ins.
