It's middling bulk and good defensive typing and ability allows it set up oppurtunities, but its otherwise lacking movepool and poor HP stat leave it dependent on Belly Drum. However, Belly Drum turns Cawmodore into one the most the metagames most powerful set up sweeper, and CAP teams should always carry at least one check to it.
Common Set(s):
1) Captain Belly Drum:
- Belly Drum, Acrobatics, Drain Punch, Bullet Punch
Common Item(s): Sitrus Berry
Viability Rank: A+

Name: Colossoil
Type: Dark/Ground

Common Abilities: Regenerator (base form), Magic Guard (mega)
Overview: As CAP's first mega Pokemon, Crucibelle is a powerhouse Pokemon centered around the use of Head Smash in conjunction with Regenerator or Magic Guard. Mega Crucibelle's great speed and movepool allows it to fill the role of a fast physical attacker that can also use Coil to sweep weakened teams. Crucibelle in its base form makes use of U-turn and Regenerator to either check Flying- and Fire-types as a pivot or to use Choice items to adopt a hit and run strategy.
Common Set(s):

Viability Rank: A+

Name: Cyclohm
Type: Electric/Dragon
Common Abilities: Static, Shield Dust
Overview: Cyclohm is one of the best defensive walls in the metagame and an important blanket check to many Flying- and Steel-type Pokemon. A decent special attack and a diverse movepool allows Cyclohm an offensive presence, while access to Slack Off, Whirlwind and Heal Bell gives it a niche over other Flying-type checks such as Rotom-W. However, Cyclohm's middling Special Defence leaves it susceptible to special attackers.
Common Set(s):
1) Physically Defensive (Static/Shield Dust):
- Slack Off, Discharge / Thunderbolt, Fire Blast / Flamethrower, Whirlwind / Heal Bell / Toxic
2) Offensive (Shield Dust/Static):
- Thunderbolt, Draco Meteor/Dragon Pulse, Hydro Pump, Fire Blast / Ice Beam

Type: Poison/Ground
Common Abilities: Persistent, Vital Spirit
Overview: Fidgit is an ideal support Pokémon due to its high speed, decent bulk, wide support movepool and a useful ability in Persistent. However, it has a relatively poor defensive typing and little offensive presence, which means it is outclassed by other supporters such as Tomohawk in some of its roles.
Common Set(s):
1) Persistent:
- Trick Room / Tailwind, U-turn, Rapid Spin / Spikes / Wish, Taunt/Encore
2) Hazard Layer (Vital Spirit):
- Spikes, Stealth Rock / Toxic Spikes, U-turn, Whirlwind / Encore / Taunt

Type: Fairy / Fighting
Common Abilities: Natural Cure
Overview: Powerful special attacker that makes great use of it's great Speed tier to dish out damage to slower Pokemon and Parting Shot out of anything it cannot handle. Kerfluffle's STAB coverage hits a large portion of the metagame hard, but leaves it walled by defensive Poison- and Fire-types.
Common Set(s):

2) STABs + Utility (Natural Cure)

Name: Kitsunoh
Type: Steel/Ghost
Common Abilities: Limber, Frisk
Overview: A versatile Pokémon which uses its impressive defensive typing and a diverse movepool to fulfil offensive and utility roles. However, it is hampered by its relatively modest offensive stats and poor bulk. Nonetheless, Kitsunoh's versatility makes it a decent fit for teams looking for a Pokemon that can handle Fairy-types, a reliable hazard remover, a dedicated lead, or some combination thereof.
Common Set(s):
1) Choice Scarf (Limber/Frisk):
- Trick, U-turn, Shadow Strike, Meteor Mash / Iron Head
2) Defog (Limber)

Viability Rank: B

Name: Krilowatt
Type: Electric/Water
Common Abilities: Magic Guard
Overview: A jack of all trades, master of none. Decently fast, great bulk, a wide movepool and an amazing ability in Magic Guard make Krilowatt hard to deal with, but it is hampered by its poor offensive stats, although this is somewhat offset by its impressive coverage and the recoil-less Life Orb boost that Magic Guard allows.
Common Set(s):
1) Special Attacker:
- Surf, Thunderbolt / Discharge, Ice Beam, Earth Power / Earthquake
2) Physical Attacker:
- Waterfall, Thunder Punch, Ice Punch / Ice Shard, Earthquake / Low Kick
Common Item(s): Life Orb
Viability Rank: A-

Name: Malaconda (incomplete and old analysis)
Type: Dark/Grass
Common Abilities: Harvest
Overview: Malaconda suffers from a poor defensive typing, an even worse Defence stat and one of the worst Speed tiers in the metagame, along with mediocre offensive presence and movepool. However, very high Special Defence, a useful support movepool and a good ability in Harvest means that Malaconda does have its uses as a Pursuir trapper and Rapid Spinner.
Common Set(s):
1) Utility:
- Knock Off / Sucker Punch, Power Whip, Glare / Rapid Spin / Toxic, U-Turn
2) Rest:
- Rest, Knock Off / Power Whip, Glare / Rapid Spin / Toxic, U-Turn
Common Item(s): Sitrus Berry (Sets 1), Lum Berry (Set 2)
Viability Rank: B-

Name: Mollux
Type: Fire/Poison
Common Abilities: Dry Skin
Overview: Mollux is a popular Pokémon in the CAP metagame due to its high Special Attack, useful typing and ability, decent bulk and wide movepool. However, Mollux is hampered by middling speed and quadruple weakness to common Ground-type attacks, meaning Mollux is often outsped and taken out with Ground-type coverage if not holding a Choice Scarf.
Common Set(s):
1) Choice Scarf:
- Fire Blast / Flamethrower, Sludge Wave, Hidden Power Ground / Thunderbolt, Trick
2) Tank:
- Fire Blast / Flamethrower, Sludge Wave, Recover, Hidden Power Ground / Thunderbolt / Calm Mind
3) Utility:

Common Item(s): Choice Scarf (Set 1), Life Orb/Black Sludge/Air Balloon (Set 2), Black Sludge (Set 3)
Viability Rank: A

Name: Naviathan
Type: Water/Steel
Common Abilities: Heatproof
Overview: Naviathan's great defensive typing is hampered by its poor Special Defence and mediocre offenses. It requires multiple Calm Mind boosts to sweep, and can only do so once its checks, most notably Mollux and Plasmanta, are dealt with. Pursuit trapping and entry hazard stacking are effective strategies of removing Naviathan's checks. Its Dragon Dance set is outclassed by other sweepers such as Gyarados and Feraligatr, leaving Naviathan a niche of being able to break down stall teams effectively due to access to STAB Scald and Taunt.
Common Set(s):
1) Calm Mind:
- Calm Mind, Scald, Slack Off, Taunt / Hidden Power Ground
Common Item(s): Leftovers
Viability Rank: B

Name: Necturna
Type: Grass/Ghost
Common Abilities: Forewarn
Overview: Necturna is CAP's most versatile Pokemon thanks to its access to one Sketch move (this is due to Necturna being designed before Generation 6 breeding mechanics, and will remain how it is to prevent it from being too powerful), allowing it to perform a variety of roles, from spreading status to setting up entry hazards to being an offensive sweeper. Despite this amazing versatility, Necturna is hampered by a meagre HP stat, mediocre Special Attack and a defensive typing that leaves it weak to four forms of priority as well as Knock Off.
Common Set(s):
1) Defensive Sticky Web:
- Sticky Web, Will-O-Wisp, Shadow Sneak, Power Whip / Horn Leech / Super Fang
2) Bulky Band / Bulky Attacker:
- Power Whip / Horn Leech / Leaf Blade, Shadow Sneak, Shadow Claw, V-Create / Dragon Ascent / Sacred Fire
3) Physical Sweeper:
- Shell Smash / Shift Gear, Shadow Sneak, Shadow Claw, Horn Leech / Power Whip / Leaf Blade
4) Double Status
- Spore, Will-O-Wisp, Horn Leech, Super Fang / Shadow Claw
Common Item(s): Colbur Berry (Set 1), Choice Band/Life Orb (Set 2), White Herb/Focus Sash/Life Orb/Colbur Berry (Set 3), Leftovers (Set 4)
Viability Rank: A-

Name: Plasmanta
Type: Electric/Poison
Common Abilities: Storm Drain
Overview: Plasmanta is a powerful special attacker that makes use of its unique defensive typing, great defensive ability and decent bulk to check common threats. Plasmanta also has access to useful support moves such as Taunt, Encore and Haze, but is hindered by weaknesses to common Psychic- and Ground-type attacks, a limited offensive movepool and a lack of reliable recovery outside of Black Sludge.
Common Set(s):
1) Offensive:
- Sludge Wave, Thunderbolt, Hidden Power Fire / Hidden Power Ice, Encore / Taunt / Dazzling Gleam
2) Defensive:
- Sludge Bomb, Hidden Power Fire / Hidden Power Ice, Haze, Taunt / Encore
Common Item(s): Black Sludge (Set 1), Life Orb (Set 2)
Viability Rank: B+

Name: Pyroak
Type: Fire/Grass
Common Abilities: Battle Armor
Overview: A great defensive typing and good bulk, along with a good defensive ability in Battle Armor and a wonderful support movepool allows Pyroak to be a great utility Pokémon. However, its weakness to Stealth Rock and vulnerability to passive damage threatens to wear it down, and it suffers from a poor offensive presence and Speed tier.
Common Set(s):
1) Utility:
- Synthesis, Lava Plume, Earth Power / Giga Drain, Stealth Rock / Leech Seed / Aromatheraphy, Roar
Common Item(s): Leftovers
Viability Rank: A

Name: Revenankh
Type: Ghost/Fighting
Common Abilities: Shed Skin
Overview: Made to be the perfect Bulk Up abuser, Revenankh has good bulk, a good defensive and offensive typing and a massively useful ability in Shed Skin that allows it to absorb and shake off status. Access to reliable recovery and STAB Drain Punch gives Revenankh longetivity, but it is hampered by an average Attack stat without Bulk Up boosts and a poor Speed, as well as weakness to the common Fairy- and Flying-types. Lastly, Revenankh's reliance on Bulk Up to deal damage leaves it walled by Unaware users, most notably Clefable.
Common Set(s):
1) Bulk Up:
- Bulk Up, Drain Punch, Shadow Sneak, Moonlight / Rest / Earthquake / Ice Punch
Common Item(s): Leftovers
Viability Rank: B-

Name: Stratagem
Type: Rock
Common Abilities: Technician, Levitate
Overview: Fast, decently powerful and with a wide array of coverage moves, Stratagem is a fearsome attacker in the CAP metagame, an ideal late-game cleaner. Its Rock typing combined with its power allows it to shut down staples of hyper offense teams, such as Talonflame, Mega Pinsir, and Kyurem-B, but this relatively poor defensive type also leaves it weak to 3 forms of priority. It also falls flat in the face of stall, as its Special Attack is not quite enough to break down dedicated special walls.
Common Set(s):
1) Technician Abuse:
- Ancient Power, Earth Power, Vacuum Wave, Hidden Power Flying / Fire Blast / Energy Ball
2) Levitate Attacker:
- Paleo Wave, Earth Power, Fire Blast, Energy Ball
3) Calm Mind (Levitate):
- Calm Mind, Paleo Wave, Earth Power, Fire Blast / Energy Ball / Giga Drain
Common Item(s): Life Orb/Choice Specs (Sets 1 and 2), Leftovers/Life Orb (Set 3)
Viability Rank: A

Name: Syclant
Type: Ice/Bug
Common Abilities: Mountaineer
Overview: Syclant takes advantage of good offensive stats and great Speed (making it the 2nd fastest CAPmon, behind Stratagem) to act as a versatile mixed attacker and revenge killer. However, Syclant is frail and has a poor defensive typing, leaving it vulnerable to priority and Choice Scarf users. In addition, it struggles to defeat many dedicated walls and is often stretched thin when trying to set up. Overall, Syclant's offensive prowess is notable not for its sheer power but for its great speed and versatility.
Common Set(s):
1) Life Orb:
- Ice Beam, Bug Buzz / U-turn, Earthquake / Earth Power, Superpower / Spikes
2) Mixed Focus Sash:
- Ice Beam, U-turn, Ice Shard / Spikes, Earthquake / Earth Power
3) Tail Glow:
- Tail Glow, Bug Buzz, Ice Beam, Earth Power
Common Item(s): Life Orb (Set 1), Focus Sash (Set 2), Focus Sash (Set 3)
Viability Rank: A

Name: Tomohawk
Type: Flying/Fighting
Common Abilities: Prankster, Intimidate
Overview: Affectionately nicknamed "Godohawk" by CAP metagame players, Tomohawk has good bulk, decent Special Attack, a great defensive and offensive typing and an excellent ability in Prankster. Combined with Tomohawk's wide support and offensive movepools, this means that Tomohawk can fulfil offensive, support and stall roles. It is this versatility, as well as its ability to completely check the extremely common Colossoil, that makes Tomohawk popular. Mediocre Special Defence and weaknesses to common special attacks prevent Tomohawk from walling special attackers, while it is also vulnerable to super effective physical attacks from the likes of Mega Metagross and is stopped in its tracks by special walls such as Chansey.
Common Set(s):
1) Defensive Tank (Prankster):
- Air Slash, Roost, Haze, Reflect/Rapid Spin/Stealth Rock
2) Life Orb Attacker (Intimidate/Prankster):
- Hurricane, Aura Sphere / Nature Power, Earth Power / Nature Power, Roost / Healing Wish
3) Rain Dance (Prankster):
- Rain Dance, Hurricane, Aura Sphere/ Earth Power, Roost
Common Item(s): Rocky Helmet/Leftovers (Set 1), Life Orb (Set 2), Damp Rock (Set 3)
Viability Rank: S

Name: Volkraken
Type: Water/Fire
Common Abilities: Analytic, Infiltrator
Overview: Volkraken uses its fearsome Special Attack and its ability to punish switch-ins with Analytic. along with its great offensive typing, this allows Volkraken to function as either a revenge killer or a wallbreaker. However, it suffers from an odd Speed tier that leaves it somewhere between being an all-out sweeper and an Analytic abuser. In addition, vulnerability to entry hazards and a weakness to Stealth Rock limit its ability to control the switching game. Nonetheless, Volkraken still has the potential to dish out massive damage, while its access to sacrificial moves such as Memento helps to differentiate it from other powerful attackers.
Common Set(s):
1) Choice Scarf (Analytic):
- Fire Blast, Surf / Hydro Pump, Power Gem / Flash Cannon, U-turn / Memento / Destiny Bond
2) Special Wallbreaker (Analytic):
- Fire Blast, Hydro Pump / Scald, Power Gem / Flash Cannon, Memento / Destiny Bond / U-turn
Common Item(s): Choice Scarf (Set 1), Choice Scarf / Life Orb (Set 2)
Viability Rank: A-

Name: Voodoom
Type: Fighting/Dark
Common Abilities: Lightningrod, Volt Absorb
Overview: Voodoom's mediocre offences, a typing that is completely walled by the common Fairy-types in the metagame and frailty means that Voodoom is often outclassed by other Dark- and Fighting-types. However, it is fast and has 2 useful abilities which give it some chance to switch in.
Common Set(s):
1) Mixed Attacker (Lightningrod/Volt Absorb):
- Dark Pulse, Close Combat, Psychic, Taunt/Vacuum Wave
Common Item(s): Life Orb
Viability Rank: D

However, Mollux is hampered by middling speed and quadruple weakness to common Ground-type attacks, meaning Mollux is often outsped and taken out with Ground-type coverage if not holding a Choice Scarf.
Common Set(s):
1) Choice Scarf:
- Fire Blast / Flamethrower, Sludge Wave, Hidden Power Ground / Thunderbolt, Trick
2) Tank:
- Fire Blast / Flamethrower, Sludge Wave, Recover, Hidden Power Ground / Thunderbolt / Calm Mind
3) Utility:
- Lava Plume, Sludge Bomb, Recover, Rapid Spin/Stealth Rock/Heal Bell

Common Set(s):

Common Set(s):
1) Defensive Sticky Web:
- Sticky Web, Will-O-Wisp, Shadow Sneak, Power Whip / Horn Leech / Super Fang
2) Bulky Band / Bulky Attacker:
- Power Whip / Horn Leech / Leaf Blade, Shadow Sneak, Shadow Claw, V-Create / Dragon Ascent / Sacred Fire
3) Physical Sweeper:
- Shell Smash / Shift Gear, Shadow Sneak, Shadow Claw, Horn Leech / Power Whip / Leaf Blade
4) Double Status
- Spore, Will-O-Wisp, Horn Leech, Super Fang / Shadow Claw
Common Item(s): Colbur Berry (Set 1), Choice Band/Life Orb (Set 2), White Herb/Focus Sash/Life Orb/Colbur Berry (Set 3), Leftovers (Set 4)
Viability Rank: A-

Name: Plasmanta
Type: Electric/Poison
Common Abilities: Storm Drain
Overview: Plasmanta is a powerful special attacker that makes use of its unique defensive typing, great defensive ability and decent bulk to check common threats. Plasmanta also has access to useful support moves such as Taunt, Encore and Haze, but is hindered by weaknesses to common Psychic- and Ground-type attacks, a limited offensive movepool and a lack of reliable recovery outside of Black Sludge.
Common Set(s):

Common Set(s):

Common Set(s):

Common Set(s):

Common Set(s):

Common Set(s):

Common Set(s):

Common Set(s):
1) Mixed Attacker (Lightningrod/Volt Absorb):
- Dark Pulse, Close Combat, Psychic, Taunt/Vacuum Wave
Common Item(s): Life Orb
Viability Rank: D

I've gone ahead and updated this thread by adding Crucibelle and Kerfluffle. I've also edited the existing CAP descriptions so they're more in line with our analysis work and better suited for the current meta, as well as changing the analysis links where appropriate. Finally, I added in some more metagame resources and removed the defunct teambuilding workshop link.
