Sandshrew-Alola @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Slush Rush
Level: 5
EVs: 36 HP / 236 Atk / 36 Def / 196 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Icicle Spear
- Iron Head
- Earthquake
- Protect

My man is the best mon in the tier, s/o to Sam-testings who first spread the word about Scarf Shrew <3. So how does this set check Doduo? Well it's simple: my little baby switches into anything but a Jump Kick (Knock Off included) and strikes back based on what happens. If Doduo clicks Quick Attack or Brave Bird, you just click Icicle Spear and murder Doduo. But if you switch into a Knock Off, the fun begins. Protecting on the Jump Kick of a Doduo is literally the most entertaining revenge kill of all time. Also I know this isn't the set we're going with, but this works particularly well with revenge killing Scarf Doduo locked into Jump Kick. Protect Scarf A-Shrew is the best and funniest lure in the game.
The thread is called Counter That Threat

Counters need to switch in on any move

Sandshrew-A is not a Jump Kick Doduo counter

Here is a pokemon that can switch into any of the moves instead of relying on predictions and isn't particularly crazy even.

Ponyta @ Eviolite
Level: 5
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 76 Atk / 156 Def / 76 SpD / 196 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Morning Sun
- Will-O-Wisp
- Flame Charge

Only trouble comes if rocks are up and you switch right into a brave bird, but if rocks are able to be kept away from our trusty stallion you'll be fine bar Doduo high rolling both Brave Bird and Quick Attack. You've even got a nice chance to burn the bird due to Flame Body. Flare Blitz will always OHKO Doduo after Brave Bird recoil, and if you switch into anything other than Brave Bird you can Wisp and survive a Knock Off and Brave Bird combo, and actually outheal Brave Bird even knocked off. Rocks does mess with this since it means Brave Bird+Quick Attack is going to KO.

Don't tell me your set is heat if it isn't...

Aerow (Slugma) @ Berry Juice
Ability: Weak Armor
Level: 5
EVs: 196 HP / 196 Def / 116 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA
- Overheat
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Earth Power
- Will-O-Wisp

Typical Nazi LC moderator Quote may have banned our Weak Armor Rock-types this round, but Weak Armor can never be truly vanquished. Speedy Slugma switches into any Doduo attack with ease (unless it is Brave Bird and there are rocks up, in which case a roll happens), grabs the Weak Armor boost, and begins to wreak havoc in the way that only a puddle of hot lava can. Then, it roasts Doduo in return with Fire Blast. Hidden Power Grass is so you can meme opposing Onix, Will-O-Wisp can take down a physical switch-in in a pinch, Earth Power is for general coverage. EVs are for living a hit and hitting 10 speed so you outspeed doduo with weak armor.

This set actually wins lol.

I didn't find the suggestion Nineage made cool enough

Vanillite @ Berry Juice
Ability: Weak Armor
Level: 5
EVs: 68 HP / 196 Def / 76 SpA
Lax Nature
IVs: 30 HP / 0 Atk / 30 Def / 30 SpD / 30 Spe
- Ice Beam
- Ice Shard
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Explosion

This set is confirmed to freeze its competition right in it's tracks. It lives any hit from dodou assuming rocks are not up and gets FAST to bop dodou. It hits 10 speed to get 20 after weak armor buff and the rest of the evs are to live dodou hits and kill dodou. As you can see with the moveset you can pick how you want to kill dodou with ice beam or end it all with a bang and press boom. Rest of moves are there to have priority and hp ground coverage to suprise fires and chinchou.

i really think we need a clarification on whether or not to include sr in out calcs. assuming we do, as is typical of such threads, chinchou, slugma, ponyta, elekid, vanillite and shinx all fail to counter if doduo plays optimally.

sandile (dies to knock into jk), magnemite (knock off, or jk if sr is up), cubone (2hkoed by bbird) and sandshrew-a (jk obliterates) simply aren't counters.

which brings us to, tirtouga as the only thing that can switch in if SR is still up. nice. perhaps when it comes to such heavy hitting wallbreakers we specify to not calc sr just for the sake of the thread.

here's my addition. It's a bit of an odd set, but it always works even if they have a spike and sr up on you. the faster, less bulky set can also work though two high rolls does it in. you also have a more accurate move than stone edge which is cool, and 100% of the time ohko. you shouldn't ever lose to dodou unless they have full hazards:

knock off into brave bird does a max of 20 with 2 1/16 high rolls, a total of 21 after sr. it averages at 18 however.
two brave birds does a startling 19 on average, though if both get a 1/16 high roll then we see a total of 22, 23 after sr.

116+ Atk Mudbray Rock Slide vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Doduo: 20-24 (100 - 120%) -- guaranteed OHKO
(20, 20, 20, 20, 20, 20, 20, 22, 22, 22, 22, 22, 22, 22, 22, 24)

236 Atk Doduo Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 116 HP / 116+ Def Eviolite Mudbray: 5-7 (20 - 28%) -- 81.1% chance to 4HKO after Stealth Rock

this Innovative™ set is one of the best doduo counters around. it can switch into any attack with rocks up (doduo needs a super roll on qa to 2hko with jump kick+qa). then, simply kill the doduo with gigavolt havoc! this attack is powerful enough to not only ko the doduo in front of you, but a second and often a third if your opponent brings it. if you can get this in unscathed, you can use charge and kill as many as six doduos at once! how cool is that?

Growlithe @ Eviolite
Ability: Intimidate
Level: 5
EVs: 236 HP / 156 Def / 116 SpD
Impish Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Morning Sun
- Flare Blitz
- Wild Charge

Actually a really sturdy Doduo counter. Brave Bird does 40% max and you can proceed to burn / Morning Sun stall it until you feel comfortable enough to Wild Charge. Note: unless Rocks are up Wild Charge is not a guaranteed OHKO. Knock Off + Brave Bird is an even worse option. If Rocks are up you can opt to Wild Charge to avoid the possibility of Wisp missing but assuming a no-hax scenario Growlithe just wins, no matter what.

(Knock Off --> Brave Bird)
-1 236 Atk Doduo Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 236 HP / 156+ Def Eviolite Growlithe: 5-6 (20 - 24%) -- guaranteed 5HKO

0 Atk Growlithe Wild Charge vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Doduo: 16-20 (80 - 100%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
