Easy OU. Awesome typing with good stats, a great ability, and some neat coverage like Aura Sphere. No Moonblast sucks, but at least it has Dazzling Gleam.

What does Gear Up do?
Gear Up The user engages its gears to raise the Attack and\nSp. Atk stats of ally Pokémon with the Plus or\nMinus Ability.
Steel
Status
20 PP
User's team
+1 Attack/+1 Special Attack for the target

Eh, only works in doubles, and only on Pokemon with Plus or Minus.

Figured it was going to be on the slow side, but in an ironic twist, it outspeeds a good chunk of the new mons this gen. And just as I predicted, it got Access to Shift Gear, making its speed a non issue. Sp.A Moxie is great, and it gets its own Fairy Draco Meteor, which is never something to sleep on. Access to Bolt Beam, Thunder Wave and even Volt Switch. My only regret is that it has barely any potential for a physical moveset witht he lack of good non steel attacks on the physical side. Oh well, thats what tutors are for.

Looks fantastic.
Very bulky, amazing typing, great movepool. CM/Psplit, tons of coverage, and utility in vswitch and twave to boot. No moonblast is kinda unfortunate for a cm set, but a tank/pivot set with vswitch and fleur cannon will probably be really good. Also really threatening with trick room or shift gear.

You could even do a physical gear shift set where fleur cannon is used to break through physically defensive switch-ins. You won't care for the special attack drop but you also have a semi useless ability if you go physical, since all it will do is make fleur cannon go back to normal power every two kills.

And if both special/physical sets run Gear Shift it won't be easy to tell what set it is until it's too late.

I feel like this is going to be an AMAZING pivot with volt switch. Great typing, and fantastic bulk to bat. This going to be an interesting generation.

A incredible typing. Quite bulky and very powerful. This thing has the same power as a Draco Meteor from Latios with Fleur Cannon. Also gets TR which could be decent. Definitely going to be a Solid OU.

Sorry for double post but doesn't anyone have news about his the QR code to download this thing? People in Japan got it months ago and I'm wonder if it works on the games at the time

It definitely has a Rotom-Wash pivot feel to it with Thunder Wave + Volt Switch + nice typing / stats, but that seems like a waste of its potential when it has Shift Gear and Soul Heart to clean up as an end-game sweeper coupled with some nice defenses to withstand priority attacks.

This is going to be great in OU. It has quite possibly the best defensive typing a Pokemon could have, and a fantastic movepool, plus solid defenses and even Shift Gear if you want to go for a somewhat meme-y (but definitely still usable) physical set.

This thing hits insanely hard with a Choice Specs. Choice Specs Fleur Cannon is insane. Even something like bulky Mega Scizor needs to be extremely healthy to take it.

252+ SpA Choice Specs Magearna Fleur Cannon vs. 248 HP / 200 SpD Mega Scizor: 144-170 (41.9 - 49.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Aegislash at the beginning of the metagame is going to be the biggest annoyance to it. As Hidden Power Fire is your best move to hit it. You have Thunderbolt for Skarmory (who again needs to be super healthy to take 2 Fleur Cannon's anyway), Aura Sphere or Focus Blast for Heatran and Ferrothorn.

The other set that immediately jumps off the page is the Shift Gear late game cleaner. It has to run Timid to outspeed Choice Scarf Landorus-T, but its ability is amazing for a set like this.

There has to be some kind of set that takes advantage of its great bulk too.

specs will probably be the best set used as a pivot and abuse of the 130 base fairy nuke is too good to pass up;not to mention the super solid move pool in focus blast, flash cannon, energy ball, bolt-beam,hp fire, shadow ball, grass knot, t-wave, aura sphere, dazzling gleam, volt switch! People will probably try some other weird stuff like Trick room, calm mind and shift gear?(bad, just use trick room).

With Magearna getting what is basically a Fae Meteor, one has to remember how it was to have nothing immune to Specs Latios's Draco Meteor before Gen VI. With an ability that will let it fire it again with more power than usual if it scored a KO the previous turn. And you cannot Pursuit-trap this thing unlike Latios.

It even gets a somewhat similar movepool in terms of their STAB and coverage moves (although Magearna's lack of Moonblast surprises me).

Yuuuuup.

Banned deucer.
Lol its funny that it learns Shift Gear, but not Gear Grind. It does not even get Play Rough so I really cant see physical sets working, a shame really.

What would a good mixed stat spread be, so that it out speeds threats after shift gear? Iron Head, Brick Break, Fleur Cannon are sufficient enough for mixed IMO.

Felt in love with this mon since the first time I saw her.
Godlike typing, awesome coverage and respectable stats it's all a pokémon needs to stay in the OU tier.
The only sad thing is that she lacks of Moon Blast, so she has to rely on Flower Cannon, a good move but you can run a LO variant of the mon 'cause LO + Recoild would be embarassing, and dazzling gleam is clearly not that good. Maybe an AV set, Belt, or even a choice specs one :O

Fleur Cannon doesn't have recoil; it works like Draco Meteor.
