SM OU OTR Magearna and A-Maro really offensive BO(peaked 1804)


hi, this is my first(and probably last)SM rmt, I am playing with thist team for a long time, and this is probably the final form of it, so i decided to show you guys this team, cause i am very pride, hope you guys like it.


I started the team with this core, cause OTR magearna was starting to get usage, I was underating her potential and decided to try, A-maro is a mon that tooked my heart cause it's very funny to see this little guy that seems gimmick at first look wallbreaking and pivoting in OU,it's the best parner to magearna beating scizor, ferro, heatran, celesteela, toxapex and chansey. AT this time the i choosed Lighthing rod and Stealth Rock.

I searched for good parterns to OTR magearna, and decided to use spikes gren and specs hoopa-u for help, gren is used to set spikes helping all the breakers and beat a lot of mons by himselfl, hoopa-u is nice for heavy damage on everything, lures lando-t, trick against stall is sick, and of course is awesome under TR if needed.

since I have a-maro as second leader of the team I really need a hazzard remover, and i hate using defog since gren could never set-up a lot of layers more than one time per game, luckliy that time i could use queen pheromosa(I used LO+spin+3 attacks) and how i needed a mega i just throw mawile cause of TR

like everybody could predict, mosa got suspected(and banned), since then scarf excadrill is the closest thing we have, also I realised that my team was extremly week to char-y and voclarona, since mawile wasn't doing anything, m-pinsir joined the team, and it's way better, always wallbreak really easy, getting rid of landos, heatrans,charys and volcs that treathen megearna chances of setting up(with m-pinsir joined the team, exca really become necessary), with exca comming to the team, I changed maro to rock head, taking full use of TR(also is really easy to bluff against eletric types).

I faced like 4 ash-grens in a roll and got owned 4 times in a roll, I was forced to change hoopa-u to primarina, making my match-up against stall and lando-t way worse, but primarina really surprised me, it was extremly effective for me, and I could easly support this mon for a rise in the VR. primarina helped me against keldeo, a-gren and rain, while

okay, mega swampert and sceptile hype really affected my team, after facing like 6 swamps in a roll i realised that something needed to change, sadly my new love primarina got replaced by tangrowth turning my weird bulky&slow HO into a BO, tangrowth actually helped a lot, not only beat a-gren, keldeo and rain, but also help against threats to my team like lando-t,rotom-w and zygarde, also i got tired of being walled and stalled by toxapex so i replace hydro pump for extrassensory on gren.

my lead, can always set up spikes(unless facing stall), even against koko, since they will always u-turn out when they see a-maro and exca in team preview, can wallbreak early game for my team, and lure toxapex that is very annoying, beat every hazzard remover bar mew and mantine and is my only switch to heatran, that always gets scared letting me set-up another layer of spikes.

The star of the team, this mon is just ridiculous, from the hole meta i guess that 8 mons may be able to wall it, remove two enemies from opposite team is easy having 3 awesome wallbreakers on the back, click TR, click Twinkle Tackle and then get a boost every turn, and even if you fail to sweep, i guarantee the opposite team will be with a lot of holes, TR can help maro/growth or the hole team when facing rain/SW.

magearna best friend, this thing handle pretty much everything that threat her, ferro, heatran, chansey, celesteela, scizor, pex, causes a lot of switches and can use them to set up rocks, or just straight up kill something, the worst thing about this guy is that he is a lando-t magnet, but making koko and zapdos unable to click eletric type moves(even without lighting rod) is awesome.

my two physicall wallbreakers are rock weak, this means that i really need a spinner, exca is the closest thing to viable spinner in this meta so... Jk exca helps my team by revange killing and i got some games where he was able to late game clean against HO teams, also is the real koko counter.

the bulky side of the team, being the only defensive pivot makes tangrowth sponge a lot of hits for my team, most notably his ability to counter non SSSS lando, keldeo, a-gren, rotom-w, rain and zygarde, well this shit is extremly OP

I was really mad that I had to change hoopa-u for this, but i got really surprised, it was very effective, breaking almost everything hoopa-u could, while also being able to switch against a-gren, keldeo and kingdra, it was very easy to bait ferro and pex since they are always the go to switch(it was hard when the team had both), and could beat celesteela for mag if needed.


-> my only switch to this can't even touch it, so i need to sac something to this to bring something that beats 1x1 like full pinsir or full health maro/growth, also mag can OKO it under TR, but focus miss is...

-> this core is the go to on balanced right now, and is very annoying to face, nothing in my team OKOes pex or chansey, and nothing likes to switch on a scald/toxic, and of course if i set up with pinsir, ditto can fuck me, some dittos are running 0 atk to trace frustation, so i decided to keep return since it's a 50/50, against chansey is nice trying to knock off eviolite off, and pex is greninja weak.
->if this manage to set-up I am screwed, but i have a nice anti-hazzard remover core in a-maro+gren+pinsir, and the only mon he can set-up safely is tangrowth(if not mega evolved), to say the truth i never have been sweeped by it, but looks scary in theory.

You have a major Volcarona/ Charizard X/Y problem. if volcarona gets up a quiver dance up, it 6-0 your team. Same with charizard X. Charizard Y just uses fire blast to OHKO your team or severely hurt it. I would recommend running a mon with a base speed over 100.
Keldeo, Garchomp, or Nihilego would work on your team. I would remove Marowak.

I was update threats today, but I forgot, in practice I never had problem with chary and volc(after replacing maw for pinsir) maro+gren+pinsir makes the perfect anti-hazzard remover core, and my team have a lot of offensive pressure that stops volcs from setting up, specially with pinsir on the back, chary is always beaten by pinsir +rocks or gren + rocks or gren+pinsir of exca alone. CharX is the main problem if he manages to set-up, I will probably loose, but he can only set up against tangrowth and bad locked exca, but he really needs hazzard off, otherwise he have problem with damage from the mon on field + quick attack. And Everybody hates charX right now, i never got swept by one with this team, of course this fires are scary(specially charX), but I have learned to play around them, and having two scarfers on a team is bad, and choosing any +100 scarf makes my team really weak to celesteela, skarm, scizor and ferrothorn
