All Gens ROA Sample Teams Thread V2

Celesteela is Life
This thread looks pretty cool, so I guess I'll post a team that has gotten me many wins on the Gen 4 UU ladder:

Wallbreaker Clefable Offense

This is probably the best Gen 4 UU team I've made so far since I started playing the tier, and it's also won me a lot of battles on the ladder, even peaking at #1 for a while. (Although it isn't hard to go to the top in that ladder.) So it's built around wallbreaker Clefable, a really underrated set that can lure in a lot of stuff, like Registeel and Rhyperior, and hit them for big damage. It also crushes special walls like Chansey with LO Magic Guard Double-Edge. Wallbreaker Clefable loves hazard support, especially Spikes, so Omastar was added as my suicide lead that can set up both Rocks and Spikes. I use EPower over HP Grass for those pesky Qwilfish leads I see. I originally used Calm Mind Mesprit as my Fighting check and a cool sweeper, but I decided it was way too slow so I replaced it with Choice Scarf Mesprit, being a good revenge killer and adding some speed to the team, while still being a good Fighting check. Venusaur was added to add a Water, Grass, and another Fighting check to the team, while still having an awesome offensive presence with LO Leaf Storm and Sludge Bomb and pressuring teams with Sleep Powder. Houndoom was added as a good set-up sweeper or wallbreaker with Nasty Plot and adds a Psychic and Ghost check. Hariyama finishes off the team by being a great wallbreaker or even a sweeper with Guts Toxic Orb and it's dual priority, while also being useful in a defensive sense by checking Dark, Rock, and Steel types and being bulky in general with 144 base HP. The team is weak to fast stuff mainly, like Swellow and Scyther, as they outspeed the majority of the team and Scyther basically hits everything hard with it's Dual STABs alone. But they are frail, so Sucker Punch from Houndoom and Fake Out/ Bullet Punch from Yama can kill them. Mesprit can also revenge them thanks to Choice Scarf. Other stuff that can annoy the team are Fire types like Arcanine and Houndoom as my only real check to them is Omastar, who's a suicide lead, but the team can wear them down with hazards and offensive pressure. Overall, this is a really effective offensive team that works by applying the offensive pressure in hazards and our hard hitters onto the opponent's team, usually overwhelming it. I hope you like it!

This is pretty standard curselax offensive team.Magneton traps skarmory and foretress,Skarmory and Swampert are the main physical defensive walls,Swampert deals with tyranitar, aerodactyl and skarmory takes hits from snorlax, heracross and other physical mons that can do a lot of damage to swampert, Skarmpert combo is also good for dealing with Choiceband Salamence,Gengar works mostly as Cleaner after oponnent's special wall is gone and can support a lot with hypnosis,Mixed CB Mence is the offensive pivot wich helps dealing with heracross, celebi and some others, the main threat for this team are fast electric mons like jolteon and raikou,If Snorlax dies they can be a big problem however if you keep snorlax's HP high it can easily deal with them.

Thanks for the teams guys. I made some slight updates but I won't be able to add teams until my computer (finally) gets fixed. Can't really update it on my tablet since it gives me a hard time with all the mini sprites but keep the teams coming anyway! Ill update it when I get my hands on a computer.

Jolteon paired with Choiceband Heracross is pretty strong offensive combo. Forretress is the team's hazard setter and spinner,Hp fire lets it deal with another Forretress or Skarmory,Milotic acts as the main defensive wall it handles tyranitar, aerodactyl, salamence.Gengar is big support because of the team's fight weakness it helps with Heracross and when it's job is done it Explodes into the oponnent special wall.Wish on Blissey supports Heracross because it looses HP pretty fast. This Team's biggest threats are probably Choiceband Tyranitar and Dugtrio because it can trap Blissey,Heracross and Jolteon (If dug is full hp) aswell.

Adding a Adv Ubers team :]

Shedinja Rain Offense

Everyone who has played at least a pair of games of ADV Ubers knows that Ghost Stab is a pretty cool offensive attack on that tier. So this is a team I made from one of the best ghost types on the tier. Shedinja. The only thing that usually prevents Shedinja to sweep is Spikes. That's why I paired with an HP Ghost Forretress, to hit the only 2 spinblockers that there's on this tier. Gengar has a big chance to be 2hko by Forretress after Leftovers recovery. It has Counter in order to revenge kill Rayquaza pretty easily. Deoxys-A is the lead of choice because all those Latis leads and always they are affraid of Shadow ball so you can force them out. With the Shedinja + DeoA, you can deal pretty easily with Lati Twins, and Sub CM Kyogre is a beast after a few boosts. After the Salac berry is eaten, you can outspeed all 110 max speed that worries you and spam Surf and Thunder on everything. Lati@s in this tier is as powerfull as it seems in paper. With the conjunction of CM and Soul Dew it hits so hard and it's difficult to deal with. And last from not least, Regice, such a great Pokemon that can deal with Latis too, and provides Thunder Wave support to everyone else, that is always appreciate.

Deoxys-Attack @ Lum Berry
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Lonely Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Superpower
- Extreme Speed
- Fire Punch

- Calm Mind
- Surf
- Thunder
- Substitute

Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 12 Atk / 244 SpD
Adamant Nature

Quiet Nature
- Ice Beam
- Thunder
- Explosion
- Thunder Wave

rby dual amnesia core, got this to like 1580 on ladder, beat some good people once or twice, shit's decent if a bit on the gimmick side. rest jynx puts additional pressure on chansey while relying on bro to take normals. bro can take on chans if it's para'd and boltbeam amnesialax can freeze chansey while also just boosting up and threatening its common counters. usually the amnesia core just puts pressure on people and makes them play on the defensive, giving bull a shitload of opportunities to fish for hax or just get free body slam/blizzard damage on stuff.

Originally based around CB Kyu-B, this turned into all-out DragMag. Doesn't really need much explanation as it functions like most other DragMag teams: Outrage -> trap -> Outrage -> Outrage. Kyurem does damage, Dragonite threatens to sweep (+ good revenger), and Chomper cleans up at the end. Scarf Chomper was actually pretty uncommon when this was made but now it's everywhere (and rightfully so). Absolutely needs Spin support, even if sometimes you have to sacrifice Starmie to use it.

Jirachi EVs allow it to take Chomper EQ, although adding a little more into Defense so you can take Lando-T EQ is probably a good idea. Speed beats +Speed Base 70 and neutral Base 80, HP/SpDef means it takes 0 from Alakazam's attacks + Draco Meteors, SpAtk is mostly filler, but does some stuff that I don't quite remember. Energy Ball is because the team is Gastrodon weak (used to be GKnot for Hippo but no one uses that anymore. Shoutouts soge.)

Other set information:

- Jolly on Dnite so you can 1v1 Jolly Breloom, Adamant Gyara, avoid silly Tenta Scald burns, etc. Yache lets it set up on Everything.
- Most teams need a Sleep Talker and Kyu-B is the best fit here. Adamant and Jolly are both fine as Natures. EVs allow it to take EBelt Keldeo Secret Sword 100% of the time (barring crit).
- If you're attacking with Starmie then chances are you cannot afford to miss your attack. This is why Surf > Hydro.
- Removing Ferro as quickly as possible is important, so Magnezone needs Specs or Fire Gem. The latter is quite inconsistent, so Specs it is.
- Chomper's Rock Slide was intended for Volc but it's honestly just filler. I used Fling on a different team but it didn't do much. Maybe worth experimenting with the last slot.

ADV OU
Classic Balanced Squad

This is a pretty standard balanced team. Skarmory and Swampert are the main physical wall, while Blissey can deal with the specially offensive threats. Fire Blast on this to ensure the OHKO on Forretress with +152 SpA. Swampert deal with Aerodactyl, Tyranitar, and Metagross. Skarmory takes hit from Gyarados, Snorlax, and Heracross. Banded Tyranitar switch in opposite walls like Blissey and Skarmory, and can retaliate with powerful boosted move. The support from Tyranitar can allow Gengar and Starmie to clear the game after opponent's special wall is gone. Taunt and Will-O-Wisp on Gengar to deal with Blissey on 1v1, full speed/SpA ensure Gengar hits as hard as possible and outspeeds as many important targets as possible. Added OffensiveStar as a water check with Recover and Thunderbolt.

For the GSC BP! team by Jorgen, the Lum Berries on Smeargle, Machamp, and Scizor need to be replaced by Miracle Berries (the former doesn't exist in GSC, while the latter does and is functionally equivalent).
That team was given before Miracle Berries were implemented, that's why it's like that, although this thread needs an update overall

Hey all! I noticed while scrolling through the RBY OU samples that Slowbro isn't represented at all, which is absurd given its vast power and viability in the RBY metagame. So, here's my Slowbro Balance team. Specifically, this team uses Slowbro, Tauros and Alakazam to destroy defensive cores, with Venusaur being a great defensive mon to counter Water types, and Golem being the obligatory RCK-GRD mon on the squad. Offensive Cloyster lets us break through the few mons that wall Bro, Tauros, and Alakazam, making a well-balanced offensive team. Feel free to add to your roster of teams, as its been extensively tested and can beat any team if played correctly.
