[OVERVIEW]

* Due to its decent overall bulk and great defensive typing, it functions well as a tank on bulky offense or balance teams.
* Faces stiff competition from many other bulky Water-types in this role, especially Swampert. Seismitoad differentiates itself from Swampert by having access to Knock Off and Water Absorb, whereas Swampert has access to Roar, better overall bulk and a stronger Earthquake.

Moves
========

* Stealth Rock gives Seismitoad a strong utility option that can do a lot of passive damage to the opposing team.
* Scald is a decently strong STAB attack that can burn the foe, dissuading physical attackers from setting up on Seismitoad.
* Earthquake is a very consistent STAB attack that has high damage output, ensuring Seismitoad isn't too passive.
* Toxic allows Seismitoad to cripple opposing walls, putting them on a timer.
* Knock Off can also be used in order to cripple foes by removing their item.

Set Details
========

* The given EVs allow Seismitoad to have maximized physical bulk.
* A Relaxed nature is used to ensure Seismitoad has enhanced Defense while also not sacrificing any damage output from Scald and Earthquake.
* Leftovers gives Seismitoad a form of recovery.
* Water Absorb provides Seismitoad with a Water-immunity, making it a great check to Pokemon that rely on their Water-type STAB attacks, such as Suicune.

Usage Tips
========

* Use this Pokemon as a tank to switch into Pokemon it can either wall decently or take a few hits from if necessary, such as Entei and Toxicroak.
* If Seismitoad has taken damage, be sure to attempt to switch into Water-type attacks in order to heal it.
* Seismitoad has no recovery options aside from Leftovers and Water Absorb, so be sure to play carefully if keeping it healthy is necessary to check dangerous attackers.

Team Options
========

* Clerics, such as Clefable and Florges, make for good teammates, as they can heal up Seismitoad through Wish and remove status conditions that cripple Seismitoad.
* Wallbreakers, such as Choice Specs Keldeo and Choice Band Krookodile, greatly appreciate Seismitoad's ability to set Stealth Rock.
* Seismitoad's only weakness is to Grass-type attacks, making Grass-resists, such as Scizor and Hydreigon, good Seismitoad teammates.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

* A Swift Swim variant is viable on Rain teams, but is generally outclassed by other Rain sweepers, such as Kabutops.
* Choice Band might seem viable at first due to Seismitoad's expansive movepool. However, this is not the case due to Seismitoad's below par Attack and Speed.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Grass-types**: Grass-types, such as Celebi and Tsareena, can easily take any move Seismitoad uses and retaliate with a 4x super effective STAB attack.

**Powerful Wallbreakers** Wallbreakers with immense damage output, such as Choice Band Scizor and Choice Specs Kyurem, can easily cripple Seismitoad with their powerful STAB attacks.

**Bulky Setup Sweepers**: Reuniclus and Gliscor are examples of bulky setup sweepers that easily take advantage of Seismitoad's below par damage output and lack of phazing capabilities.

As said above, swampert is very heavy competition to seismitoad, but, if you modify the set to have earth power instead of earthquake, he is much more effective. Earth power fits with the special side of seismitoad, like with scald. It also lowers spec. defense, to make opponents weaker against scald, earth power, and if you're up for it, icy wind.
