Which Silvally forms are expected to be RU, or at least good in RU?
Ghost (offensive spinblocker with decent speed)
Steel (good mono defensive typing)

I think some people have tried electric and fairy, but those and the remaining typings are rather lackluster since there are plenty of offensive Pokemon which could do a better job as attackers. Even then, Ghost and Steel aren't really that good, but can stand out enough over other mons with similar typing (Parting Shot, nice coverage in BoltBeam, and not so bad overall stats)

Is there anything that Choice Band Pangoro can't 2HKO? I've been messing around with the calculator and the best I can find is that physically defensive Fairium-Z Sableye has an 8.2% chance to live two knock offs.

Hey I'm trying to learn the stall play style. Is there a guide I can check out specific to SM RU or at least the current gen? Maybe some sample teams too.

Does stall have any way to deal with Pangoro? Choice Band Pangoro is a monster for stall to face. I know espeon outspeeds and ko's with Dazzling Gleam but can't switch in. Anything else to deal with Pangoro?

Granbull is your friend. Probably the closest counter in Stall, loses to SD Gunk Shot tho

faster Florges and Golbat are okay too I guess

Why are 240 HP EVs often ran on mons instead of 252? I see it happen quite often and I'm not quite sure what the reasoning is.
Specific examples would help here. Sometimes those spreads optimize HP to take minimum damage from hazards or to activate something (think Unburden Slurpuff). Other times, it's just a small amount of speed creep as to outspeed a threat.

I believe doublade runs 240 HP and 16 Spdef EVs so that's an example.

Some Pokemon prefer to run an HP number that is divisible by 16 or a number that is divisible by 16 + 1 (the latter being better cause it lets you take take 4 layers of 3 Spikes or take 8 rounds of Leech Seed or poison and have 1 HP left.) But the fact stays that this only applies in a situation where the pokemon in question receives no damage at all. If the Pokemon receives any damage at all, the math equation doesnt apply anymore.
When using Substitute, it's important to note if your HP is divisible by four or not. If you're going to use Substitute until you get a Berry boost (Salac, Petaya, Liechi), you might want to use a divisible number. You will only need to use Substitute 3 times to activate the Berry.

To answer Doublade's example. For starters I wouldnt run 240 HP EV's on doublade if your an "HP-number" fanatic, because 240 EV's gives you an hp number of 319 which is just not divisble by 16. 244 EV's would give you a number thats divisible by 16 > 320/16 = 20. To go the extra mile you should add 248 HP EV's on Doublade since that hits the magical HP number thats divisible by 16 +1. (321-1)/16=20

Those are the reasons I remembered...
One could go more in depth about the numbers and equations etc... but I havent immersed myself into that knowledge yet.

Snorlax will probably end up RU after the tier shift, it's a really good Pokémon. Incenaroar is outclassed by pangoro, which doesn't have a stealth rock weakness, has knock off, a better typing which gives it a more spammable STAB, and better coverage options
Ok thanks for the info. Its a bit of shame incineroar wont be in ru or at least good in RU until pangoro gets banned, if that even happens, but i'm just happy Snorlax will stay RU most likely

But then again, once it gets intimidate, it might be strong in RU, Maybe too strong :o

Incineroar won't be good in RU even with Pangoro banned, and Intimidate would make it niche at best but still meh.

So i have been thinking guys, NU will be out soon, and i want to know how RU pokemon stack up in RU in your opinion.
If possible, give me your viability rankings for:
Donphan
Snorlax
Shaymin
Torkoal
Dodrio
Diancie
Chesnaught
Heracross
Honchkrow
Nidoqueen
Tyrantrum
Flygon

You don't have to give me all of their rankings in your opinion, but just give me a few if u feel like it!

CB pangoro can (and probably should, although I'm not sure how often) run scrappy on it's CB set, which gives it a super effective superpower against sableye.

Donphan: B
Snorlax: B+
Shaymin: A-
Torkoal: B
Dodrio: B
Diancie: A
Chesnaught: A-
Heracross: A+
Honchkrow: A
Nidoqueen: A
Tyrantrum: A-
Flygon: A+
I would really like to see your reasons for some of these, and I would love to know what you consider an S rank threat if hera is A+ and queen is only A. Snorlax is also generally agreed to be an A+ rank mon, due to how much it sets up on and how dangerous of a setup sweeper it is. I mean it counters like 85% of special attackers in the tier.

I agree with spookysocialist because heracross is like the best pokemon in tier and snorlax is more dangerous than B+, And nidoqueen would be S for sure, and if you ask me, Donphan would be a solid A- imo

What pokemon are to be expected to remain in RU and which will drop down to NU? Personally I'm not really seeing Gumshoos staying around for to long, if it even has a nieche here I would like to know.

If you look at last months RU stats and look at all mons that have 3,41% usage or more. Those are expected to stay in RU. Of course this months usage will differ slightly so pokemon around that mark might fluctuate a bit and either rise or drop under the benchmark.

Gumshoos is a pokemon that i would never consider using over other threats in the tier and I see no reason that it would ever stay in RU. Expect to see it in NU.

How viable is comfey right now?
I'm thinking it could be quite useful
with its triage ability along with calm mind and taunt.
I feel like it could be used to hurt stall with taunt and revenge
kill threats such as heracross and Kommo-O with draining kiss.

Amazing, one of the best in the tier. Triage gives it so much momentum with its moves being Draining Kiss, Aromatherapy, Synthesis and Giga Drain

If you're gonna run aromatherapy you might as well just use florges due to its much better bulk. Giga Drain is also pretty worthless on Comfey since it doesnt hit anything at all (grass and fairy resists overlap). Honestly the only good Comfey set is Calm Mind, Taunt, Leech Seed, and Draining Kiss, which makes it function as a neat stallbreaker. Also it's not really that amazing, since its niche relies on stallbreaking and revenge killing stuff like sharpedo, flygon, and scarf heracross. You might as well use florges if you want a defensive fairy-type or gardevoir if you'd like a harder hitter.TheWall can probably expand on it since he's the resident Comfey fetishist and I have never used it myself.

Comfey is a cool poke, but you shouldnt overestimate it. Comfey's ability to do well in a game is very match up reliant. One game it can sweep after 1 or 2 Calm Mind boosts, the other game it wont do too much. When playing a game Comfey needs all Poison and Steel types removed or heavily weakened before it can perform more than a revenge kill that is if the opponent doesnt decide to switch. In my experience its best (and only) set is Taunt, Calm Mind, Draining Kiss and Leech Seed/Synthesis. if you need a Heal Bell Cleric i'd advise you to use Florges or another mon like umbreon.
But Ryoma nagare is quite right. Comfey's niche lies in its ability to stallbreak and Revenge-Kill. Yes it can sweep teams, but dont choose Comfey as your main win-con while teambuilding. When I started to use it I had 1 spot left on the team that 1 needed to check most scarfers and DD users like flygon and heracross while I also needed a decent stallbreaker. Comfey worked well in that spot with the afformentioned set and its Triage ability.
