Tight beat and a good groove to it.

I can see why my brother likes Tech N9ne. This isn’t exactly blowing my face off, but it’s pretty tight.
According to Morgan, Nicki’s verse is where this song really shines. And he is fucking RIGHT. She grabs hold of the rhythm and turns it into pure fire. Jay-Z was sounding clumsy even before she blew him out of the water.
Pretty fucking mellow for the subject matter, but I think that’s part of the appeal.
Gotta love a classic. Trying hard not to include the video in the judging, despite the fact that it aligns pretty accurately with my political opinions. Fuck, I miss Obama.
This has a happy bouncy 70s sitcom theme song vibe to it. I can’t help but smile while I listen to this.
Call it normie if you want, but how many people here have ever had that make-it-big what-would-I-buy-first daydream? This is one of those subjects that speaks to the collective subconscious.
6.9
This song is the distilled essence of the movie Waitress. Bareilles and Mraz’s voices blend well together, to the point where I’m not sad that Nathan Fillion isn’t the one singing here. A fine duet that a few people I know irl would probably like. Maybe sharing this song with others isn’t a bad idea.
Why is it the song that starts with somebody getting murdered is the one that has me grooving?
This is a soulful piece with a tight flow that, not gonna lie, makes me feel a little sappy. I am not a very romantic person, but this level of romantic idealism just clicks with me.
This is playing out like some weird amalgamation of a few movies I’ve seen and it’s strangely appealing. There’s a stark imagery that draws me into the story and grows on me with each relisten.
Nujabes knocks it out of the park. Before I made some critical edits to the walrus, this was going to be the sad songs category. This could have taken that cat hands down and very nearly took this one hands down, too. It’s a beautiful song that brings out the tears every time I hear it.
Holy crap on a cracker. I am FLOORED. A live performance with a level of artistry that blows my fucking mind. Here you have it folks, a song able to knock another 10 back to a 9.9. Snype pulled off a last minute miracle.
One of the few things I dislike about Vocaloid is when a song goes into the higher registers and you get those squeaky notes. Miku’s rapid-fire pace at points makes up for it… somewhat.
It kinda feels like I’ve heard this restrained style elsewhere. Some other band, or maybe a few of them. Not bad, but this kinda feels a little too lowkey to be a Walrein sub.
Good simple flow here. More  than :fire:, but I like it.
