Uh, if you're breeding from a torrent female froakie (or with ditto), you'll never get a protean froakie. You need to start with a protean froakie to get a protean froakie egg.
You need to have a Protean Female (or male if you're using a Ditto) if you want the offspring to have the ability.
Wait, are you using breeding a female froakie with torrent or a froakie male/female with a ditto? Because if the froakie parent/mother does not have HA, the offspring can never have it either.
