This is obviously a subjective question but how necessary is it to have a Scarf user on bulky offense in the current meta? My background is primarily in SM and it feels almost mandatory to run a Scarfer on BO in that tier to not get run over by many of the very fast threats like Mega-Lop...

I could be wrong about this, but didn't RBY take some mechanics from Stadium (like where Sleep Clause originated), but not others, like the fixed Focus Energy? Why is that? Are there some downsides to how Stadium functions that people didn't like as much?

You're never able to see the stats of your opponent's Pokemon directly though, so there shouldn't be a need for them to be altered; it's not a buff like from Protosynthesis or after a move like Swords Dance has been used, which are displayed directly on the screen for both players. Stat buffs...
