    Pokémon Nihilego

Yeah true, I forgot about Charizard lol. Timid is definitely the way to go.

IMO the only important speed tier you lose out on by running Modest is Garchomp while gaining a 10% boost to Special Attack. I'd agree Timid is still better but Modest isn't totally unusable. It has base 103 speed, what do you actually get beat by besides Garchomp that matters?

    Pokémon Comfey

Root heals more when you are doing significant damage with Draining Kiss. Draining Kiss needs to do about 80 damage to match Leftovers healing while in reality you have to deal significantly more to average out more healing. Leftovers heals every turn while Root only does in specific situations...

    Pokémon Comfey

Yeah but Big Root and Fairy Plate are terrible.

    Pokémon Comfey

Or Pheramosa deals significant damage on the switch in only to switch to a Fairy resist. Congrats, you just healing kissed a Ferrothorn. Comfy is cool and all but aside from shakily checking something with Deoxys A level defense (literally anything with priority does this) it isn't actually...

Surf has more PP. Sparkling Aria could I guess kinda screw over Burn Orb Guts users but that will pretty much never happen. You may very well notice a PP problem if you play a game where you have to fight a Sub / Roost Pressure Pokemon or... something.

    Pokémon Pyukumuku

Nah you're looking at this the wrong way. Pyukumuku has roughly the same bulk as Mew so while it is more than capable of taking a hit you can't expect it to switch in on things like lol Mega Medicham's High Jump Kick. Pyukumuku has Unaware and better defensive stats than Quagsire. Last gen...

    Move Z-Move Discussion

His best use is quickpassing those boosts to something game ending like Mega Metagross. Sadly that isn't allowed in Smogon metas due to BP clause but it looks like a really fun sweeper for some of the lower tiers. Set up dual screens and sweep. Stored Power is REALLY weak though. Even at 220 BP...

    Pokémon Kommo-o

Sludge Bomb's 30% poison chance means it will typically out-damage Sludge Wave. Poisoning a bulky ground on the switch in means they often can't easily switch in again. Garchomp switching in on Specs Sludge Bomb that gets poisoned has a decent chance at being 2HKOed after a hit from SR...

    Pokémon Toxapex

Oh well yeah, using weird stuff is the fun part of comp pokes for me. With optimal EVs, nature, moveset and timing most ideas can be successful. It isn't weird sets that bother me, its people like the poster just under you seriously advocating for offensive Scarf Toxapex. Having fun is fine but...

    Pokémon Toxapex

Man some people's logic here is laughable. Here Gamefreak gives us a Pokemon with Registeel-level defenses, Recover, Regeneration, good typing, and immunity to poison but with attacking stats similar to Rattata. Better try to run an offensive set and focus on damage!

    Pokémon Porygon-Z

Not viable at all lol. As far as I can see Ghost and Electric are the best right now. That said Porygon Z's Double Edge hits harder than Tri-Attack so you could run a hilarious mixed set to tear Specially defensive counters to shreds.

    Pokémon Mimikyu

It's not controversial, it's straight up bad. Swords Dance + Life Orb has about the same boost but it frees up your Z slot for something else. Why Mild? Run Adamant or Jolly.

You can even run Conversation in the first slot to stay normal type if you want.

    Pokémon Nihilego

Power Gen got a BP boost from 70 to 80? This thing keeps getting better.
