Draft Enamorus-T

Status
Not open for further replies.
[overview]
**Draft Order**: Round 5 onwards

**Price Range**: 10-11 points

**Overview**: Enamorus-T is a powerful special attacker with great base offenses and defenses as well as plentiful coverage, functioning as a decent wallbreaker or setup sweeper. With its strong STAB Moonblast and Draining Kiss, wide variety of coverage, and strong setup options combined with its great natural bulk, it will often be able to dish out considerable damage. However, Enamorus-T often goes unchosen due to its poor Speed, lack of reliable recovery, and reliance on Heavy-Duty Boots.

[strategy comments]
Common Roles
========
**Wallbreaker**: Enamorus-T can OHKO or 2HKO most of its opposition holding Choice Specs or Life Orb and using powerful attacking options. With two key immunities to Ground and Dragon and above-average defenses, it can pivot onto the field relatively easily to exert offensive pressure and break more passive teams, though it can quickly get weakened if it opts to use damage-boosting items rather than Heavy-Duty Boots.

**Setup Sweeper**: Enamorus-T can utilize a variety of setup options to break through opposing teams. With Agility and some Speed investment, it can outspeed anything with 124 base Speed or less after setting up while maintaining a Modest nature for maximum damage, leaving room for 3 attacks or Calm Mind sets to burn through frail or weakened teams. With Calm Mind and Draining Kiss, Enamorus-T can become an unbreakable wall, keeping itself healthy while continuously boosting both its special stats and having room for coverage against Fairy-resistant foes or Iron Defense to stop physical revenge killers.

**Utility**: While much less common than the other two roles and less viable than on Enamorus due to its much lower Speed, Enamorus-T has access to support moves such as Taunt and Healing Wish to support its teammates while still exerting offensive pressure. It can also serve as a decent check against some wallbreakers with its resistances.

Common Moves
========
**Primary STAB Moves**: Moonblast, Draining Kiss, Alluring Voice, Play Rough

**Setup Moves**: Agility, Calm Mind, Iron Defense

**Utility Moves**: Taunt, Healing Wish, Substitute

**Coverage**: Earth Power, Mystical Fire, Grass Knot, Focus Blast, Superpower, Psychic, Iron Head, Sludge Bomb, Tera Blast

Niche Moves
========
**Fly**: Fly is Enamorus-T’s only Flying-type STAB move outside of Tera Blast, so it can be used with Power Herb to damage specially defensive Fairy-resistant foes like Volcarona.

**Endure**: In tandem with Custap Berry, Enamorus-T can get a surprise attack in on a faster revenge killer.

Common Items
========
**Heavy-Duty Boots**: Since Enamorus-T is weak to Stealth Rock, Heavy-Duty Boots can make it safer to switch in multiple times if entry hazard removal is limited.

**Choice Specs**: Choice Specs allows Enamorus-T to hit as hard as possible, giving it the potential to KO frail foes and do large amounts of damage to bulky Pokemon without needing a turn to set up.

**Leftovers**: For Calm Mind and Iron Defense sets, Leftovers provides passive recovery to allow Enamorus-T to set up without relying solely on Draining Kiss or Rest to keep itself healthy.

Niche Items
========
**Damage-boosting Items**: Enamorus-T normally needs more breaking power without being locked into one move, making Life Orb and Pixie Plate solid options, especially for Agility sets. Draining Kiss can help negate the additional damage of Life Orb as well.

**Weakness Policy**: Enamorus-T has enough bulk to take a super effective hit while setting up Agility, allowing it to boost its attacking stats without needing Calm Mind if the opponent does not predict its item correctly.

**Kee Berry**: For sets where Enamorus-T wants Calm Mind and either three attacking moves or RestTalk with no room for Iron Defense, Kee Berry can provide a Defense boost to prevent it from being 2HKOed by physical attackers, allowing it to set up and heal without being as threatened by physical attackers or losing potentially crucial coverage.

**Resistance Berries**: Enamorus-T has five weaknesses, and while it normally survives at least one unboosted hit, a resistance Berry allows it to withstand a boosted or Choice attack and knock out the foe in return.

**Assault Vest**: Assault Vest can help Enamorus-T deal with opposing special attackers while still utilizing its many coverage options.

**Mental Herb**: Taunt and Encore can easily put a stop to Enamorus-T trying to set up with Agility, Calm Mind, or Iron Defense, so Mental Herb can allow it a single extra turn to bypass the disrupting effects and attack before being locked into a single move or forced to no longer set up.

Tera
========
Enamorus-T is a great secondary Tera Captain, as Tera enhances its wallbreaking capabilities, gives it defensive options, and allows it to make offensive use of its secondary typing, although it does have significant Tera Captain competition in the same price range. Tera Fairy makes Moonblast incredibly spammable and removes Enamorus-T’s weakness to Stealth Rock. Tera Ground and Fire are strong non-STAB Tera types that boost its coverage moves against common Moonblast-resistant foes and flip its weaknesses. Tera Flying allows Enamorus-T to use Tera Blast on Choice Specs, Agility, and Calm Mind sets as an alternative to non-STAB coverage. Tera Water, Steel, and Poison provide defensive utility and allow Enamorus-T to set up in front of foes that pressure it with super effective damage.

Draft Strategy
========
Enamorus-T requires lots of support, but it can be a solid addition to teams that want an alternative setup sweeper or a bulky Fairy-type. It is not a Pokemon a draft should be built around, but rather, it complements higher-tiered Pokemon. While it is incredibly slow, it can take hits and be a great wallbreaker regardless, and it can even be used with Trick Room in niche scenarios.

**Ground-types**: Ground-types help deal with Enamorus-T's weaknesses to Electric, Poison, and Steel, making Pokemon like Great Tusk and Iron Treads solid partners.

**Pivots**: While Enamorus-T is bulky enough to survive multiple neutral hits, it performs best at dealing damage and setting up when it can come in for free, so both fast pivots that force switches such as Meowscarada and slow pivots that can regenerate such as Slowking can facilitate Enamorus-T to maintain constant pressure on the opponent.

**Entry Hazard Removers**: Enamorus-T appreciates not being reliant on Heavy-Duty Boots, as other items like Choice Specs, Leftovers, and Life Orb all provide it with far more value. Due to this, having a team with multiple entry hazard removal options such as Terapagos and Corviknight can be vital to allowing Enamorus-T the item freedom it desires.

**Entry Hazard Setters**: Enamorus-T often barely misses out on KOs with Choice Specs attacks on full health targets, meaning the extra chip damage from Stealth Rock and Spikes can often make the difference on knocking out an foe or leaving it at low health. Toxic Spikes can also be incredible paired with Enamorus-T’s more defensive sets, applying passive damage to the foe while Enamorus-T sets up its defenses and keeps itself healthy.

Checks and Counters
========
**Faster Wallbreakers**: Faster Pokemon, especially those with super effective STAB options such as Iron Moth and Gholdengo, can threaten to KO Enamorus before it can move.

**Fairy-resistant Foes**: Certain Pokemon that resist Fairy, such as Moltres and Corviknight, have secondary typings that make them less easily covered by Earth Power, Mystical Fire, and Psychic and thus take minimal damage from Enamorus-T.

**Toxic**: Toxic can quickly chip down Enamorus-T’s health in tandem with Protect or Substitute and is commonly learned by Poison-types that like to switch in on and outspeed Enamorus-T.

**Taunt / Encore**: Taunt and Encore disrupt Enamorus-T’s setup sets due to its low Speed. Specifically, Encore can be used to force Enamorus-T into setting up endlessly if a faster user switches in on a Calm Mind or Iron Defense.

[overview]
**Draft Order**: Round 4 5 onwards, but tends to go undrafted

**Price Range**: 11-13 points

**Overview**: Enamorus-Therian is a powerful Fairy / Flying type with great base offenses and defenses as well as plentiful coverage, functioning best as a wallbreaker or set-up sweeper either in or out of Trick Room. Enamorus-T will almost always deal considerable damage before fainting; beyond base 135 base special attack With its strong STAB Moonblast and Draining Kiss, wide variety of coverage, and strong setup options, Enamorus-T will often be able to put in a considerable amount of work against the opponent's team. Enamorus-T has strong coverage into the Fire, Poison, and Steel types that might try to switch in to resist the hit as well as physical coverage in Superpower, Play Rough, and Iron Head to help it get around Assault Vests and more defensively frail opponents. Enamorus-T also has abundant set-up options to help either outspeed its opposition or boost its defenses enough to become unbreakable outside of critical hits. This whole section felt kinda wordy so I condensed it - you can go more into details in specific sections later Enamorus-Therian often goes unchosen, likely due to its lack of speed compared to its incarnate counterpart, its lack of reliable recovery and pivoting, and its reliance on Heavy-Duty Boots. its lack of flying STAB without use of terastallization, and its competition on Trick Room teams against other wallbreakers that can also set Trick Room or bring other utility, such as Hatterene. It almost never needs flying coverage anyway, and trick room is pretty niche in general, so idt either are worth mentioning especially in the overview

[strategy comments]
Common Roles
========
**Special/Mixed Wallbreaker**: Enamorus-T can KO most of its opposition in 1-2 hits holding Choice Specs or Life Orb and using powerful attacking options like Moonblast, Earth Power, Mystical Fire, Sludge Bomb, Grass Knot, and in some cases, Superpower for special walls like Chansey. With 2 key immunities to Ground and Dragon type moves and above average defenses, Enamorus-Therian can be pivoted onto the field relatively easily to exert offensive pressure and break more passive teams, though it can quickly get weakened if it opts to use damage-boosting items rather than Heavy-Duty Boots. especially if an ally has set Trick Room for it.

**Setup Sweeper**: With Agility and some speed investment, Enamorus-T can outspeed anything with 124 base speed or less in 1 turn while maintaining a modest nature for maximum damage, leaving room for 3 attacks or Calm Mind to burn through frail or weakened teams. With Calm Mind and Draining Kiss, Enamorus-T can become an unbreakable wall, keeping itself healthy while continuously boosting both its Special stats with room for coverage against fairy resists or Iron Defense to stop physical revenge killers.

**Utility / Support**: While much less common than the other two roles and less viable than on Enamorus-I due to its much lower speed, Enamorus-T has access to support moves such as Taunt and Healing Wish to support its teammates while always still exerting offensive pressure.

Common Moves
========
**Primary STAB Moves**: Moonblast, Draining Kiss, Alluring Voice, Play Rough

**Setup Moves**: Agility, Calm Mind, Iron Defense, Substitute Put sub in utility

**Utility Moves**: Taunt, Healing Wish, Tailwind, Sunny Day, Rain Dance, Grassy Terrain All of these are way too niche & shouldn't even be mentioned in niche moves - also add Rest

**Coverage**: Earth Power, Mystical Fire, Grass Knot, Focus Blast, Superpower, Psychic, Iron Head, Sludge Bomb, Tera Blast

Niche Moves
========
**Fly**: Unfortunately Fly is Enamorus-T’s only Flying STAB outside of Tera Blast, so in certain cases when it needs to run physical investment, Power Herb and Fly would do more damage into it can be used with Power Herb to damage specially defensive Fairy resists like Volcarona.

**Springtide Storm**: While it is marginally more powerful than Moonblast, Springtide Storm has unreliable accuracy regardless of weather, meaning it is only worth running if Moonblast is barely missing out on crucial rolls.

Maybe add endure - can be nice with custap berry

Common Items
========
**Choice Specs**: Choice Specs allow Enamorus-T to hit as hard as possible, giving it the potential to KO frail pokemon and do over 50% large amounts of damage to bulky pokemon with Moonblast and any special coverage for fairy resists without needing a turn to set up.

**Heavy-Duty Boots**: Enamorus-T doesn’t appreciate Stealth Rocks chipping its health by 25% per switch-in as it makes it a less reliable defensive switch-in, so boots Since Enamorus-T is weak to Stealth Rock, Heavy-Duty Boots can make it more reliable to switch in multiple times if entry hazard removal is limited.

**Leftovers**: For Calm Mind and Iron Defense sets, Leftovers provides passive recovery for Enamorus-T to allow it to set up without relying solely on Draining Kiss or Rest to keep itself healthy. Put this at the top of niche

**Life Orb**: With Agility and Trick Room (set by a teammate) sets, Enamorus-T normally needs more breaking power without being locked into one move, while not minding the chip damage as long as it can move before its opponent and KO them before they can attack. making Life Orb a solid option. Draining Kiss can help negate the additional damage, especially on setup sets.

**Weakness Policy**: Enamorus-T has enough bulk to take a super-effective hit while setting up Agility, allowing it to double both of its attacking stats and its speed in 1 turn boost its attacking stats without the need of Calm Mind if the opponent does not predict the item correctly.

Niche Items
========
**Kee Berry**: For sets where Enamorus-T wants Calm Mind and either 3 attacking moves or Rest and Sleep Talk with no room for Iron Defense, Kee Berry can provide 1 Defense boost to prevent it from being knocked out in 2 hits by physical attackers, allowing it to set up and heal without being as threatened by physical attackers or losing potentially crucial coverage.

**Resistance Berries**: Enamorus-T has 5 weaknesses, and while it normally survives at least 1 unboosted hit, a resist berry could allow it to live a boosted or choiced attack and knock out the opponent in return.

**Rocky Helmet**: Rocky Helmet can help with chip damage against 4x resisted U-turns if Enamorus-T is used as a defensive switch-in to physical attackers that rely on physical pivoting and dragon or ground coverage. Enamorus-T has solid natural bulk, allowing it to weaken physical attackers with Rocky Helmet, especially if they pivot with U-turn.

**Assault Vest**: Assault Vest can help Enamorus-T deal with opposing special attackers while still being able to utilize its many coverage options. with its decent coverage, although it will eventually get worn down without a friendly Wish or Healing Wish.

**Mental Herb**: Taunt and Encore can easily put a stop to an Enamorus-T trying to set up with Agility, Calm Mind, or Iron Defense, so Mental Herb can allow it a single extra turn to bypass the effects and attack before being permanently locked into a single move or forced to no longer set up.

Tera
========
Enamorus-T should definitely be considered as a is a great secondary Tera captain as it Tera enhances its wallbreaking capabilities, gives it defensive options, and allows it to make offensive use of its secondary typing. Tera Flying allows it to use Tera Blast on Choice Specs, Agility, or Calm Mind sets as an alternative to non-STAB coverage. Tera Fairy makes Moonblast incredibly spammable and removes Enamorus-T’s more common weaknesses. Tera Ground and Tera Fire are strong non-STAB types that boost coverage into common Moonblast resists and flip Enamorus-T’s weaknesses. Tera Water, Tera Steel, and Tera Poison are less widely useful but can be useful with Enamorus-T’s defenses if a draft team is lacking one of those defensive types.

Draft Strategy
========
Enamorus-T appreciates teams with a Trick Room option to take advantage of its low speed coupled with its ability to run mixed sets more easily with a speed reducing nature, performing well beside physical Trick Room sweepers such as Ursaluna and Iron Hands. Since hard Trick Room teams are relatively rare in modern singles formats, Enamorus-T can also fit on teams lacking solid resistances to Dragon, Ground, Dark, and Fighting type moves, operating similar to Togekiss as a defensive check that offers more offensive power at the cost of some utility and speed. As a breaker and potential win condition, Enamorus-T appreciates teammates that can pivot to get it in safely and take hits from offensive Electric, Rock, Ice, Poison, and Steel types. This is literally just talking about things discussed later & also goes into too much detail - this should be more of an overview. Here's a potential rewrite:
Enamorus-T requires lots of support, but it can be a solid addition to teams that want an alternative win condition or a bulky Fairy-type. It is not a Pokemon a draft should be built around, but rather as a Pokemon that complements higher-tiered Pokemon. While it is incredibly slow, it can take hits and be a great wallbreaker regardless, and it can even be used under Trick Room in niche scenarios.

**Ground types**: The most common way to wear down Enamorus-T is with super-effective coverage, the most common being electric types that will almost always outspeed and Volt Switch relatively for free. Ground types force opponents to make a call on whether their attacks will land or they will waste a turn upon the ground type’s switch-in, making room for potential misplays. They also resist Rock and Poison types not accounting for secondary typing. Ground-types help cover up Enamorus-T's weakness to Electric, and more specifically, Volt Switch. Electric-types can easily weaken Enamorus-T with Volt Switch, making Ground-types like Great Tusk and Iron Treads solid partners for it.

**Trick Room Setters**: Enamorus-T thrives when it can outrun its opponents and does not always have opportunities to set up an agility, but if it has teammates like Porygon2 or Slowking-Galar that can set Trick Room and pivot out while baiting moves that do minimal damage to Enamorus-T, it can reliably force opponents to take heavy damage on multiple Pokemon before Trick Room ends. This works best when the team isn't completely built around Trick Room, as that will make opponents prep heavily against it. move this section to the end (under hazard setters)

**Pivots**: While Enamorus-T is bulky enough to survive multiple neutral hits, it performs best when it can come in for free without taking damage to give it the best chance of dealing damage and setting up, so both fast pivots that force switches such as ___ and slow pivots that can regenerate such as ___ can facilitate Enamorus-T to maintain constant pressure on the opponent.

**Hazard Removers**: Enamorus-T only wants to use Heavy-Duty Boots as a last resort, as Choice Specs, Leftovers, and Life Orb all provide it with far more value in terms of surviving or confirming KOs, especially if it only plans on switching in once to set up and sweep during an endgame scenario. Due to this, having a team with multiple Rapid Spin, Defog, or Mortal Spin entry hazard removal options such as ___ can be vital to allowing Enamorus-T the item freedom it needs.

**Entry Hazard Setters**: Enamorus-T often barely misses out on KOs with Choice Specs attacks on full health targets, meaning the extra chip from Stealth Rocks and Spikes can often make the difference on knocking out an opponent or leaving them on low health. Toxic Spikes can also be incredible paired with Enamorus-T’s more defensive sets, applying passive damage to the opponent while Enamorus-T sets up its defenses and keeps itself healthy. Sticky Webs are probably the least beneficial to Enamorus-T, but can still help it outspeed bulky mons that typically run almost no speed EVs without forcing much investment on Enamorus-T’s speed.

Checks and Counters
========
**Faster Wallbreakers**: Faster pokemon, especially those with super-effective STAB options such as ___, can threaten to knock out Enamorus in 1-2 hits, limiting its usefulness to 1 attack before being significantly chipped or defeated.

**Fairy Resists**: Certain pokemon that resist fairy type moves can have secondary typings that make them less easily covered by Earth Power, Mystical Fire, and Psychic and thus take minimal damage from Enamorus-T, such as Moltres and Corviknight.

**Utility Coverage**: As Enamorus-T realistically has 2 common sets, Protect can be used to scout what move Enamorus-T locks into with Choice Specs while also stalling a potential Trick Room while Encore can be used to force Enamorus-T into setting up endlessly if a opponent switches in on a Calm Mind or Iron Defense.

**Toxic**: While Enamorus-T is relatively unbothered by paralysis, immune to common sleep moves like Spore and Sleep Powder, and typically not running physical attacks that would be weakened by burn, Toxic can quickly chip down Enamorus-T’s health in tandem with Protect or Substitute and is commonly learned by Poison types that like to switch in and outspeed Enamorus-T.

This needs a lot of work, make these changes & I'll take a look at it again. Let me know if you have any questions.
All recommended changes made, let me know if more are needed. Apologies on the amount of edits needed, this is the first one I've done so I definitely went off-format several times.

[overview]
**Draft Order**: Round 5

**Price Range**: 11-13 points

**Overview**: Enamorus-T is a powerful Fairy / Flying type with great base offenses and defenses as well as plentiful coverage, functioning best as a wallbreaker or set-up sweeper either in or out of Trick Room. With its strong STAB Moonblast and Draining Kiss, wide variety of coverage, and strong setup options combined with its great natural bulk, Enamorus-T will often be able to put in a considerable amount of work against the opponent's team. Enamorus-T often goes unchosen due to its lack of speed compared to its incarnate counterpart, its lack of reliable recovery and pivoting and its reliance on Heavy-Duty Boots.

[strategy comments]
Common Roles
========
**Special/Mixed Wallbreaker**: Enamorus-T can KO most of its opposition in 1-2 hits holding Choice Specs or Life Orb and using powerful attacking options.

**Utility / Support**: While much less common than the other two roles and less viable than on Enamorus-I due to its much lower speed, Enamorus-T has access to support moves such as Taunt and Healing Wish to support its teammates while still exerting offensive pressure. It can also serve as a decent check against some wallbreakers that it can resist.

Common Moves
========
**Primary STAB Moves**: Moonblast, Draining Kiss, Alluring Voice, Play Rough

**Setup Moves**: Agility, Calm Mind, Iron Defense

**Utility Moves**: Taunt, Healing Wish, Substitute

**Coverage**: Earth Power, Mystical Fire, Grass Knot, Focus Blast, Superpower, Psychic, Iron Head, Sludge Bomb, Tera Blast

Niche Moves
========
**Fly**: Fly is Enamorus-T’s only Flying STAB outside of Tera Blast, so it can be used with Power Herb to damage specially defensive Fairy resists like Volcarona.

**Springtide Storm**: While it is marginally more powerful than Moonblast, Springtide Storm has unreliable accuracy regardless of weather, meaning it is only worth running if Moonblast is barely missing out on crucial rolls.

**Endure**: In tandem with Custap Berry, Enamorus-T can get a surprise attack in on a faster revenge killer that switches in assuming it outspeeds Enamorus-T.

Common Items
========
**Choice Specs**: Choice Specs allow Enamorus-T to hit as hard as possible, giving it the potential to KO frail pokemon and do large amounts of damage to bulky pokemon without needing a turn to set up.

**Heavy-Duty Boots**: Since Enamorus-T is weak to Stealth Rock, Heavy-Duty Boots can make it more reliable to switch in multiple times if entry hazard removal is limited.

**Life Orb**: Enamorus-T normally needs more breaking power without being locked into one move, making Life Orb a solid option. Draining Kiss can help negate the additional damage, especially on setup sets.

**Weakness Policy**: Enamorus-T has enough bulk to take a super-effective hit while setting up Agility, allowing it to boost its attacking stats without needing Calm Mind if the opponent does not predict the item correctly.

Niche Items
========
**Leftovers**: For Calm Mind and Iron Defense sets, Leftovers provides passive recovery for Enamorus-T to allow it to set up without relying solely on Draining Kiss or Rest to keep itself healthy.

**Rocky Helmet**: Enamorus-T has solid natural bulk, allowing it to weaken physical attackers with Rocky Helmet, especially if they pivot with U-turn. It can also be used in combination with Endure to further weaken foes.

**Assault Vest**: Assault Vest can help Enamorus-T deal with opposing special attackers while still being able to utilize its many coverage options.

Tera
========
Enamorus-T is a great secondary Tera captain as Tera enhances its wallbreaking capabilities, gives it defensive options, and allows it to make offensive use of its secondary typing. Tera Flying allows it to use Tera Blast on Choice Specs, Agility, or Calm Mind sets as an alternative to non-STAB coverage. Tera Fairy makes Moonblast incredibly spammable and removes Enamorus-T’s more common weaknesses weakness to Stealth Rock.

========

**Ground types**: Ground-types help cover up Enamorus-T's weakness to Electric, and more specifically, Volt Switch. Electric-types can easily weaken Enamorus-T with Volt Switch while maintaining momentum on anticipated switchins, making Ground-types like Great Tusk and Iron Treads solid partners for it.

**Pivots**: While Enamorus-T is bulky enough to survive multiple neutral hits, it performs best when it can come in for free without taking damage to give it the best chance of dealing damage and setting up, so both fast pivots that force switches such as Dragapult Meowscarada (Dragapult is banned) and slow pivots that can regenerate such as Slowking-Galar can facilitate Enamorus-T to maintain constant pressure on the opponent.

Due to this, having a team with multiple entry hazard removal options such as Terapagos or Corviknight can be vital to allowing Enamorus-T the item freedom it needs.

**Trick Room Setters**: Enamorus-T thrives when it can outrun its opponents and does not always have opportunities to set up an agility, but if it has teammates like Porygon2 Uxie or Slowking-Galar that can set Trick Room and pivot out (changing p2 to uxie, since p2 doesn't have teleport this gen & you specifically mention pivoting out) while baiting moves that do minimal damage to Enamorus-T, it can reliably force opponents to take heavy damage on multiple Pokemon before Trick Room ends. This works best when the team isn't completely built around Trick Room, as that will make opponents prep heavily against it.

Checks and Counters
========
**Faster Wallbreakers**: Faster pokemon, especially those with super-effective STAB options such as Iron Moth and Gholdengo, can threaten to knock out Enamorus in 1-2 hits, limiting its usefulness to 1 attack before being significantly chipped or defeated.

**Fairy Resists**: Certain pokemon that resist fairy type moves can have secondary typings that make them less easily covered by Earth Power, Mystical Fire, and Psychic and thus take minimal damage from Enamorus-T, such as Moltres and Corviknight.

Removing beginning part since it doesn't really feel relevant & paralysis is still annoying on agility sets

[overview]
**Draft Order**: Round 5 onwards

**Price Range**: 11-13 points 10-11 points

**Overview**: Enamorus-T is a powerful Fairy / Flying type special attacker with great base offenses and defenses as well as plentiful coverage, functioning best as a decent wallbreaker or set-up sweeper either in or out of Trick Room too niche for the literal first sentence. With its strong STAB Moonblast and Draining Kiss, wide variety of coverage, and strong setup options combined with its great natural bulk, Enamorus-T will often be able to put in a considerable amount of work against the opponent's team dish out considerable damage. However, Enamorus-T often goes unchosen due to its lack of poor speed, its lack of reliable recovery and pivoting, and its reliance on Heavy-Duty Boots.

========
**Special/Mixed Wallbreaker**: Enamorus-T can KO most of its opposition in 1-2 hits holding Choice Specs or Life Orb and using powerful attacking options. **Setup Sweeper**: Enamorus-T can utilize a variety of setup options to break through opposing teams. With Agility and some speed investment, Enamorus-T can outspeed anything with 124 base speed or less in 1 turn while maintaining a modest nature for maximum damage, leaving room for 3 attacks or Calm Mind to burn through frail or weakened teams. With Calm Mind and Draining Kiss, Enamorus-T can become an unbreakable wall, keeping itself healthy while continuously boosting both its Special stats with room for coverage against fairy resists or Iron Defense to stop physical revenge killers.

**Utility / Support**: While much less common than the other two roles and less viable than on Enamorus-I due to its much lower speed, Enamorus-T has access to support moves such as Taunt and Healing Wish to support its teammates while still exerting offensive pressure. It can also serve as a decent check against some wallbreakers with its resistances.

Common Moves
========
**Primary STAB Moves**: Moonblast, Draining Kiss, Alluring Voice, Play Rough

**Setup Moves**: Agility, Calm Mind, Iron Defense

**Utility Moves**: Taunt, Healing Wish, Substitute

**Coverage**: Earth Power, Mystical Fire, Grass Knot, Focus Blast, Superpower, Psychic, Iron Head, Sludge Bomb, Tera Blast

Niche Moves
========
**Fly**: Fly is Enamorus-T’s only Flying STAB outside of Tera Blast, so it can be used with Power Herb to damage specially defensive Fairy resists like Volcarona.

**Springtide Storm**: While it is marginally more powerful than Moonblast, Springtide Storm has unreliable accuracy regardless of weather, meaning it is only worth running if Moonblast is barely missing out on crucial rolls. is this ever actually relevant? the power difference is so marginal for moonblast specifically being 95 vs 100.

**Endure**: In tandem with Custap Berry, Enamorus-T can get a surprise attack in on a faster revenge killer that switches in assuming it outspeeds Enamorus-T.

Common Items
========
**Choice Specs**: Choice Specs allow Enamorus-T to hit as hard as possible, giving it the potential to KO frail pokemon and do large amounts of damage to bulky pokemon without needing a turn to set up.

**Heavy-Duty Boots**: Since Enamorus-T is weak to Stealth Rock, Heavy-Duty Boots can make it more reliable to switch in multiple times if entry hazard removal is limited. move boots to first

**Life Orb**: Enamorus-T normally needs more breaking power without being locked into one move, making Life Orb a solid option. Draining Kiss can help negate the additional damage, especially on setup sets. delete, cuts into bulk and not worth over boots

**Weakness Policy**: Enamorus-T has enough bulk to take a super-effective hit while setting up Agility, allowing it to boost its attacking stats without needing Calm Mind if the opponent does not predict the item correctly. move to niche

Niche Items
========
**Leftovers**: For Calm Mind and Iron Defense sets, Leftovers provides passive recovery for Enamorus-T to allow it to set up without relying solely on Draining Kiss or Rest to keep itself healthy.

**Rocky Helmet**: Enamorus-T has solid natural bulk, allowing it to weaken physical attackers with Rocky Helmet, especially if they pivot with U-turn. It can also be used alongside Endure to further weaken foes. delete, i understand why you'd run it but in practice it's not worth over boots

**Assault Vest**: Assault Vest can help Enamorus-T deal with opposing special attackers while still being able to utilize its many coverage options.

Tera
========
Tera Fairy makes Moonblast incredibly spammable and removes Enamorus-T’s weakness to Stealth Rocks. Tera Ground and Fire are strong non-STAB types that boost coverage into common Moonblast resists and flip Enamorus-T’s weaknesses. Tera Water, Steel, and Poison are less widely useful but can be useful with Enamorus-T’s defenses if a draft team is lacking one of those defensive types. this paragraph pretty clearly undersells benefit of defensive tera to enable setup enam. tera flying is not worth as the first mention because tera blast flying honestly gives you comparatively little in my eyes. also, note the opportunity cost in that you cannot get the best tera captains available with enamorus, and that there's significant competition for other tera captains in this price range.

Draft Strategy
========

**Ground types**: Ground-types help cover up deal with Enamorus-T's weaknesses to Electric-, Poison-, and Steel-types , and more specifically, Volt Switch. Electric-types can easily weaken Enamorus-T with Volt Switch while maintaining momentum on anticipated switchins, making Ground-types like Great Tusk and Iron Treads solid partners for it.

**Pivots**: While Enamorus-T is bulky enough to survive multiple neutral hits, it performs best when it can come in for free without taking damage to give it the best chance of dealing damage and setting up, so both fast pivots that force switches such as Meowscarada and slow pivots that can regenerate such as Slowking can facilitate Enamorus-T to maintain constant pressure on the opponent.

**Hazard Removers**: Enamorus-T only wants to use appreciates not being reliant on Heavy-Duty Boots as a last resort, as other items like Choice Specs, (rc) and Leftovers, and Life Orb all provide it with far more value in terms of surviving or confirming KOs, especially if it only plans on switching in once to set up and sweep during an endgame scenario. Due to this, having a team with multiple entry hazard removal options such as Terapagos or Corviknight can be vital to allowing Enamorus-T the item freedom it needs desires.

**Trick Room Setters**: Enamorus-T thrives when it can outrun its opponents and does not always have opportunities to set up an agility, but if it has teammates like Uxie or Slowking-Galar that can set Trick Room and pivot out while baiting moves that do minimal damage to Enamorus-T, it can reliably force opponents to take heavy damage on multiple Pokemon before Trick Room ends. This works best when the team isn't completely built around Trick Room, as that will make opponents prep heavily against it. this is essentially a luxury and cannot be relied on, making it not worth a mention, if someone wants this as a mode for enam they can figure that out themselves

Checks and Counters
========
**Faster Wallbreakers**: Faster pokemon, especially those with super-effective STAB options such as Iron Moth and Gholdengo, can threaten to knock out Enamorus in 1-2 hits, limiting its usefulness to 1 attack before being significantly chipped or defeated. before it can move.

**Fairy Resists**: Certain pokemon that resist fairy type moves can have secondary typings that make them less easily covered by Earth Power, Mystical Fire, and Psychic and thus take minimal damage from Enamorus-T, such as Moltres and Corviknight.

**Toxic**: Toxic can quickly chip down Enamorus-T’s health in tandem with Protect or Substitute and is commonly learned by Poison types that like to switch in and outspeed Enamorus-T.

add "Taunt / Encore", these largely shut down setup based sets due to its low speed

With 2 two key immunities to Ground and Dragon type moves and above-average (AH) defenses, Enamorus-T it can be pivoted pivot onto the field relatively easily to exert offensive pressure and break more passive teams, though it can quickly get weakened if it opts to use damage-boosting items rather than Heavy-Duty Boots.

**Setup Sweeper**: Enamorus-T can utilize a variety of setup options to break through opposing teams. With Agility and some speed Speed investment, Enamorus-T it can outspeed anything with 124 base speed Speed or less in 1 turn after setting up while maintaining a modest Modest nature for maximum damage, leaving room for 3 attacks or Calm Mind sets to burn through frail or weakened teams. With Calm Mind and Draining Kiss, Enamorus-T can become an unbreakable wall, keeping itself healthy while continuously boosting both its Special special stats with and having room for coverage against fairy resists Fairy-resistant foes or Iron Defense to stop physical revenge killers.

**Utility**: While much less common than the other two roles and less viable than on Enamorus-I due to its much lower speed Speed, Enamorus-T has access to support moves such as Taunt and Healing Wish to support its teammates while still exerting offensive pressure. It can also serve as a decent check against some wallbreakers with its resistances.

Common Moves
========
**Primary STAB Moves**: Moonblast, Draining Kiss, Alluring Voice, Play Rough

**Setup Moves**: Agility, Calm Mind, Iron Defense

**Utility Moves**: Taunt, Healing Wish, Substitute

**Coverage**: Earth Power, Mystical Fire, Grass Knot, Focus Blast, Superpower, Psychic, Iron Head, Sludge Bomb, Tera Blast

Niche Moves
========
**Fly**: Fly is Enamorus-T’s only Flying-type STAB move outside of Tera Blast, so it can be used with Power Herb to damage specially defensive Fairy resists Fairy-resistant foes like Volcarona.

**Endure**: In tandem with Custap Berry, Enamorus-T can get a surprise attack in on a faster revenge killer that switches in assuming it outspeeds Enamorus-T (switching in has nothing to do with it + the outspeeds part is redundant bc it's said to be faster).

Common Items
========
(remove extra line)
**Heavy-Duty Boots**: Since Enamorus-T is weak to Stealth Rock, Heavy-Duty Boots can make it more reliable safer (reliable doesn't fit- still possible, just takes damage) to switch in multiple times if entry hazard removal is limited.

**Choice Specs**: Choice Specs allow allows Enamorus-T to hit as hard as possible, giving it the potential to KO frail pokemon foes and do large amounts of damage to bulky pokemon Pokemon without needing a turn to set up.

**Leftovers**: For Calm Mind and Iron Defense sets, Leftovers provides passive recovery for Enamorus-T to allow it Enamorus-T to set up without relying solely on Draining Kiss or Rest to keep itself healthy.

Niche Items
========
**Damage Boosting Damage-boosting Items**: Enamorus-T normally needs more breaking power without being locked into one move, making Life Orb and Pixie Plate solid options, (AC) especially for Agility sets. Draining Kiss can help negate the additional damage of Life Orb as well.

**Weakness Policy**: Enamorus-T has enough bulk to take a super effective (RH) hit while setting up Agility, allowing it to boost its attacking stats without needing Calm Mind if the opponent does not predict the its item correctly.

**Kee Berry**: For sets where Enamorus-T wants Calm Mind and either 3 three attacking moves or Rest and Sleep Talk RestTalk with no room for Iron Defense, Kee Berry can provide 1 a Defense boost to prevent it from being knocked out in 2 hits 2HKOed by physical attackers, allowing it to set up and heal without being as threatened by physical attackers or losing potentially crucial coverage.

**Resistance Berries**: Enamorus-T has 5 five weaknesses, and while it normally survives at least 1 one unboosted hit, a resist berry could allow resistance Berry allows it to live withstand a boosted or choiced Choice attack and knock out the opponent foe in return.

**Assault Vest**: Assault Vest can help Enamorus-T deal with opposing special attackers while still being able to utilize utilizing its many coverage options.

**Mental Herb**: Taunt and Encore can easily put a stop to an Enamorus-T trying to set up with Agility, Calm Mind, or Iron Defense, so Mental Herb can allow it a single extra turn to bypass the disrupting effects and attack before being permanently locked into a single move or forced to no longer set up.

Tera
========
Enamorus-T is a great secondary Tera captain Captain, (AC) as Tera enhances its wallbreaking capabilities, gives it defensive options, and allows it to make offensive use of its secondary typing, (AC) although it does have significant Tera captain Captain competition in the same price range. Tera Fairy makes Moonblast incredibly spammable and removes Enamorus-T’s weakness to Stealth Rocks Rock. Tera Ground and Fire are strong non-STAB Tera types that boost its coverage into moves against common Moonblast resists Moonblast-resistant foes and flip Enamorus-T’s its weaknesses. Tera Flying allows it Enamorus-T to use Tera Blast on Choice Specs, Agility, or and Calm Mind sets as an alternative to non-STAB coverage. Tera Water, Steel, and Poison provide defensive utility and allow Enamorus-T to set up in front of opponents foes that pressure it with supereffective super effective damage.

Draft Strategy
========
Enamorus-T requires lots of support, but it can be a solid addition to teams that want an alternative win condition setup sweeper (it would be wincon for a mon, but can't be referred to as such in a pre-battle context) or a bulky Fairy-type. It is not a Pokemon a draft should be built around, but rather, (AC) it as a Pokemon that complements higher-tiered Pokemon. While it is incredibly slow, it can take hits and be a great wallbreaker regardless, and it can even be used under with Trick Room in niche scenarios.

**Ground-types (AH)**: Ground-types help deal with Enamorus-T's weaknesses to Electric-, Poison-, and Steel-types Electric, Poison, and Steel, making Ground-types Pokemon (avoiding repetition) like Great Tusk and Iron Treads solid partners for it.

**Pivots**: While Enamorus-T is bulky enough to survive multiple neutral hits, it performs best at dealing damage and setting up when it can come in for free without taking damage to give it the best chance of dealing damage and setting up (redundant and then awk, so rephrased), so both fast pivots that force switches such as Meowscarada and slow pivots that can regenerate such as Slowking can facilitate Enamorus-T to maintain constant pressure on the opponent.

**Entry Hazard Removers**: Enamorus-T appreciates not being reliant on Heavy-Duty Boots, as other items like Choice Specs, Leftovers, and Life Orb all provide it with far more value. Due to this, having a team with multiple entry hazard removal options such as Terapagos or and Corviknight can be vital to allowing Enamorus-T the item freedom it desires.

**Entry Hazard Setters**: Enamorus-T often barely misses out on KOs with Choice Specs attacks on full health targets, meaning the extra chip damage from Stealth Rock and Spikes can often make the difference on knocking out an opponent foe or leaving them on it at low health. Toxic Spikes can also be incredible paired with Enamorus-T’s more defensive sets, applying passive damage to the opponent foe while Enamorus-T sets up its defenses and keeps itself healthy.

Checks and Counters
========
**Faster Wallbreakers**: Faster pokemon Pokemon, especially those with super effective (RH) STAB options such as Iron Moth and Gholdengo, can threaten to knock out KO Enamorus before it can move.

**Fairy Resists Fairy-resistant Foes**: Certain pokemon Pokemon that resist fairy type moves can Fairy, such as Moltres and Corviknight, (should put the example next to the subject) have secondary typings that make them less easily covered by Earth Power, Mystical Fire, and Psychic and thus take minimal damage from Enamorus-T, such as Moltres and Corviknight.

**Toxic**: Toxic can quickly chip down Enamorus-T’s health in tandem with Protect or Substitute and is commonly learned by Poison-types (AH) that like to switch in on and outspeed Enamorus-T.

**Taunt / Encore**: Taunt and Encore disrupt Enamorus-T’s setup sets due to its low speed Speed. (remove double space) Specifically, (AC) Encore can be used to force Enamorus-T into setting up endlessly if a faster opponent user switches in on a Calm Mind or Iron Defense.

[overview]
**Draft Order**: Round 5 onwards

**Price Range**: 10-11 points

**Overview**: Enamorus-T is a powerful special attacker with great base offenses and defenses as well as plentiful coverage, functioning as a decent wallbreaker or setup (RH) sweeper. With its strong STAB Moonblast and Draining Kiss, wide variety of coverage, and strong setup options combined with its great natural bulk, Enamorus-T it will often be able to dish out considerable damage. However, Enamorus-T often goes unchosen due to its poor speed Speed, its lack of reliable recovery, and its reliance on Heavy-Duty Boots.
