  1. SPOILERS! Sun and Moon SQSA Thread

Alolan Level 28s are slightly different too, obviously. :P
  2. SPOILERS! Pokemon Sun and Moon Full Game Datamine General Discussion Thread

So, if I'm understanding and calculating correctly: If you try to catch Pheromosa or Kartana in a non-Beast Ball, it is the equivalent of trying to catch Snorlax in a Pokeball. The other's meanwhile are 10x harder than that, about equivalent to catching Mewtwo in a Pokeball. So pretty tough...

  4. SPOILERS! Pokemon Sun and Moon Full Game Datamine General Discussion Thread

Oh shit really? That's great I actually completely gave up on competitive breeding in XY because of a bad experience. After many excruciating hours of breeding and hatching I finally got the right combination of Abilities, IVs and Nature on a Pokemon, only to find that a crucial egg move was...
  5. Data Pokemon Sun/Moon Battle Mechanics Research

So it seems that Comatose is really is just sleep for all intents and purposes except that you can attack and won't wake up.
  6. Data Pokemon Sun/Moon Battle Mechanics Research

I thought this had already been tested but it's not in the OP. Hm. I think the move more for battle Royales. But there are some niche strategies that can be used eg Spotlight+King's/Spiky Shield, or two Pokemon with Spotlight/Protect could Stall.
  7. SPOILERS! Pokemon Sun and Moon Full Game Datamine General Discussion Thread

I do hope they return, and I didn't even play Triples. Just for hordes if nothing else; Chaining seems like a decent but ultimately unworthy successor to me.
  8. Convulsions of Nature- Competitive Terrain Discussion

Weird question, but what do you guys think of Nature Power for Terrain Teams? Are there Pokemon who you think might enjoy coverage under terrain that they lack otherwise, or it it too situational?
  9. SPOILERS! Pokemon Sun and Moon Full Game Datamine General Discussion Thread

It doesn't double with every call. It only doubles once. If you aren't using Power Items then each Magikarp is only worth 2 EVs.
  10. SPOILERS! Pokemon Sun and Moon Full Game Datamine General Discussion Thread

Well shit, no wonder they axed Triples and the like. Kinda disappointing, but at least Pokemon isn't a game dependent on reflexes or timing. Still, can't wait for Pokemon Switch.
  11. Kartana Discussion

The similar sounding Secret Sword is Special, so it's an understandable mistake.
  12. Movepool changes

You'd be better off using Overheat in that case - same power, but with Overheat you can attack again if you need to. Using Burn Up means you have no choice but to either switch or flail in futility.
  13. Movepool changes

It was in the research thread. If you aren't Fire, the move fails, so it effectively can't be used twice. So your Specs set isn't a great idea. Edit: here http://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/pokemon-sun-moon-battle-mechanics-research.3586701/page-12#post-7078730
  14. Movepool changes

Are you aware that Burn Up cant be used at all if you aren't Fire Type?
  15. SPOILERS! Pokemon Sun and Moon Full Game Datamine General Discussion Thread

I'm pretty sure Lascelle's point was that you'll probably have to breed to get the 0IV in the first place.
  16. Data Pokemon Sun/Moon Battle Mechanics Research

Machamp doesn't actually learn Sheer Cold, Horn Drill or Fissure*. They were likely hacked on for testing purposes. *Except by TM in Gen 1, so it might be possible after Bank.
  17. SPOILERS! Pokemon Sun and Moon Full Game Datamine General Discussion Thread

It depends on how easily obtainable Bottle Caps are. If they are rare, breeding might be helpful. It also Future Proofs your Pokemon should they ever remove the Hyper Training boosts in later games, but I consider that highly unlikely. Even if they remove Hyper Training itself, they'd probably...
  18. SPOILERS! Pokemon Sun and Moon Full Game Datamine General Discussion Thread

The IV thing isn't from drinks. Hyper Training is a separate thing - use bottle caps to raise a Lv100 Pokemon's stats. It makes the stat equivelant to max IVs without actually changing the IV, so Hidden Power is unaffected. On the downside, it can't pass perfect IVs via breeding, but you can...

What about Iron Fist? Is it still strictly and vastly inferior to Tough Claws?
