    Salandit, Salazzle Discussion

Ehhh. Not worth it in my opinion. Toxapex and M-Venu both can handle normal poison alright, I think badly poisoning them is really the only way to stall them out.

Any reason you chose Sludge Bomb? Sludge Wave has 5 more BP and thus an even better chance to OHKO MGard.

I know we're talking singles here, but just a friendly reminder that Poison Gas hits both opponents in doubles, so it is something that could be considered there.

    Old Mon BST/Ability Change Discussion

With the inevitable terrain wars coming, Gengar losing Levitate might not seem as bad we think. He learns powerful special moves that can take advantage of all the move-boosting terrains (TBolt, Energy Ball, Psychic). Makes him fit well on pretty much any terrain team. I suppose Fairy Terrain...

    Salandit, Salazzle Discussion

I don't know about completely forgoing Toxic on Salazzle... I mean, yeah, the offensive sets are great and can definitely fit where you need them to on a team, but I think the ability to badly poison Toxapex is going to be huge. Not sure how relevant M-Venu is as a wall anymore but being able to...

    Pikipek, Trumbeak, Toucannon Discussion

Just got back from the mechanics thread. Beak Blast does burn the attacker even if user is KO'd, however, Shell Trap from Turtonator does not activate upon being KO'd. Which is disappointing to me, but hey at least the Beak Blast thing is good.

So there are two new moves that work very similar to Focus Punch: Beak Blast and Shell Trap. -3 priority, but they "charge" first in the turn, then the opponent attacks, and then the move is unleashed. Focus Punch's conditional is that it can't be hit. These two moves are different. Beak Blast...

    Salandit, Salazzle Discussion

Is there any Steel not named Heatran that Salazzle would rather poison versus just knocking out with a hard-hitting Fire Blast, especially considering most Steels are weak on the special side? I suppose Empoleon, but I feel like they won't run into each other much. Heatproof Bronzong seems like...

    Tapu Bulu Discussion

Actually, Pyukumuku with Fightium-Z absolutely dismantles this core Innards Out plus recoil damage from Wood Hammer KOs Tapu Bulu Pyukumuku is easily knocked out by the OU classic fully offensive Electro Ball Rotom-W, thus KOing with Innards Out 252+ SpA Rotom-W Electro Ball (150 BP) vs. 252...

    Comfey Discussion

I agree, this gen really allows for creativity and mindgames with most of it's new additions. I have to disagree about Gumshoos though. While it will probably end up in low tier, the fact that it gets Yawn and Stakeout allow it to absolutely SMACK whatever is going to come in next. There are a...

This is correct, EQ is lowered no matter what. I am curious however if Air Balloon does remove the benefits of the terrains. I'm going to assume yes.

    Tapu Bulu Discussion

Scarf Mold Breaker Excadrill could put in decent work, but Grassy Terrain is a bitch for EQ. If you don't have a counter terrain setter, I supppooossseee you could run Drill Run.

I know it's unlikely that it doesn't, but can we just get some 100% confirmation that Thick Club does in fact double A-Marowak's attack as well?

    Pikipek, Trumbeak, Toucannon Discussion

On a similar note, I've been wondering the same thing about Turtonator's use of Shell Trap. I assume they are similar. Seems important to know and definitely a good thing if it does activate even if the user gets KO'd.

    Tapu Bulu Discussion

I've been racking my brain for an answer to this question... And I think you're right. Anything that you want to OHKO with a fairy move can be hit with with a coverage move. Even with a band, it wouldn't be able to OHKO an uninvested Multiscale DNite with Play Rough, so using Stone Edge is fine...

    Popplio, Brionne, Primarina DIscussion

Not saying Primarina is going to be OU, but do you really think Tapu Fini is going to be OU? Not trying to argue, I'm genuinely curious. IMO it has the worst terrain by a long shot and has to fight the other Tapu's who probably can provide a better terrain to suit your team. I do agree though...

    Sandygast, Palossand Discussion

Assault Vest seems like a good option, but then your only form of recovery is Giga Drain. Not necessarily a bad thing, depending on your team, but personally I'd rather use Shore-Up and Leftovers to really push the physical wall aspect of it.
