Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
No, I'm sorry. Once STABmons is on the main server again, you can use that to challenge someone, but you gotta make sure they follow the banlist manually.
There may be other ways to do this, but for my own sanity, this is how I'm doing it.
We will have two 3-way matches in Round 8: one between the top 3 winners, and one between the top 3 unwinners. Then, the two losers of the winner's 3-way will fight the winner of the unwinner's 3-way. The winner of that 3-way will then fight the last remaining winner.
If you can think of a cleaner way that ensures everyone must be eliminated twice in order to lose, say so NOW. I know ihhca had an idea, but at the time I was too confused to make sense of it.
My idea doesn't quite follow a strict double elim (this is impossible with RRs since someone is going to lose twice from winners, presumably without getting knocked out) but it only involves 1 round robin and follows a fairly normal bracket scheme.
1. Play the current Unwinners R7. This leaves 3 winners and 3 unwinners.
2. Play Round Robins for Winners R8 until someone goes 0-2. That person drops immediately to unwinners.
3. Play Unwinners R8.1 with 4 players like normal. This leaves 2 winners and 2 unwinners.
4. Play Unwinners R9 with 2 players like normal. This leaves 2 winners and 1 unwinner.
5. Skip Winners R10 because these people already played, and drop the 1-1 RR player from step 2 to unwinners. This leaves 1 winner and 2 unwinners.
6. Play Unwinners R10 with 2 players like normal. This leaves 1 winner and 1 unwinner.
7. Play Grand Finals like normal with winner from RR and winner from R10.
8. Optionally play Grander Finals.
Ihhca, thanks for the idea, but I'm going to go with the more uniform option.
We will have two 3-way matches in Round 8: one between the top 3 winners, and one between the top 3 unwinners. Then, the two losers of the winner's 3-way will fight the winner of the unwinner's 3-way. The winner of that 3-way will then fight the last remaining winner.
Was a lot of fun, wish I'd gotten luckier with dtail switches but I could definitally have avoided needing that if I hadnt gotten outplayed. still hoping you lose to lefty
I hate to do this so late in a tournament, but I'm calling activity. I've been on every time that was suggested, and reached out several times to reschedule to no avail.
I also havent seen callmelefty, but in his defense I forgot to reschedul. I have done that now, so if he responds an extensuion would be nice, but otherwise Ill be doing the same.
