WSC Deadlines

It's becoming apparent that we're losing track of WSC. Old competitions are getting lost as new competitions get put up and more & more is being left unfinished. Igor has asked me to step in to some extent.

So, deadlines will be enforced from now on. Clear deadlines that shall not be broken. For the judging phase, if you don't think you can make the deadline, don't be a judge.

Each competition has 3 phases, as we know.

-Entries
-Judging
-Finalists poll

Each phase will begin as soon as the previous one ends, with a new competition put up as soon as the finalists poll ends.

And these phases shall, from now, be clearly defined by the following time constraints...

-Entries: 6 days (7 for more than one sprite)
-Judging: 4 days
-Finalists poll: 4 days

Total: 14 days ie 2 weeks

Two weeks is a very nice time length. It means that there will never be more than two unfinished competitions at once. When a new one starts, there will be one well into the judging stage and an old one finishes.

Not only does this give smooth sailing and clean cut-offs, it also makes everyone's job easier. It's too difficult to juggle more than two unfinished competitions at once, all in different stages, and people get agitated about where each one's at. We've noticed this already.

If you are a judge and you break the judging deadline, you are allowed one day leway, but it may not happen again and if you're any later than that one day, you're automatically kicked from that week's competition and it will proceed without your nominations. This isn't attempting to be a punishment at all, since judging is a service offered by you, it's just the only way to keep things running smoothly.

Same goes for entrants. If your entry is late by less than a day, it can probably be accepted, but that gives the judges one day less for nominations on an already constrained deadline so they won't exactly smile upon you.

But then again, it can't all be up to me. So I'm asking everyone; do these deadlines seem reasonable? If they don't, please speak up, we don't want entrants to feel pressured or all the judges dropping out because they can't make nominations in that amount of time. One thing I will not allow is having the finalists poll less than 4 days.
