SS OU YAHT (Yet Another Hail Team, Arctozolt Offense)

yeah, I typically found myself using Draco Meteor or Fire Blast more often than Scald, so that does make sense. Replacing Scald with U-Turn for the extra pivot capability.

SS OU YAHT (Yet Another Hail Team, Arctozolt Offense)

I chose Scarf Pult in particular because it not only outsped other Dragapult, but also resisted Kartana and Blacephalon (the latter, of course, when not locked into Shadow Ball). For that reason, I decided to change Heatran's EVs and Nature to the more traditional Specially Defensive set so as...

SS OU YAHT (Yet Another Hail Team, Arctozolt Offense)

Slight bump, but I made an improvement to the team. I noticed one Pokemon is able to not only outspeed every Pokemon on my team, but also absolutely wreck them without much thought due to just how fast it goes. Dragapult. That thing's speed is absolutely absurd, and should always be something...

SS OU YAHT (Yet Another Hail Team, Arctozolt Offense)

Freeze Dry is there for Toxapex and rain team mons like the aforementioned Seismitoad and Quagsire. The first example is especially important to safely figure out whether Toxapex uses Toxic or Baneful Bunker to spread poison damage, as the former would be a minor inconvenience at worst, though...

SS OU YAHT (Yet Another Hail Team, Arctozolt Offense)

I look away for a few months and Hail becomes a dominant playstyle in OU? And the main Pokemon who abuses it is a Pokemon that would have been ZU had it not been for the Crown Tundra granting it its Hidden Ability? Some things sure are strange, aren't they? At any rate, once learning of the...

SS OU A team with Cinderace and Zeraora

Huh. That's the mechanics behind SR? Weird. If that's the case, those are still uninvested EVs, so invest those into either one of the defenses depending on what you expect to switch into.

SS OU A team with Cinderace and Zeraora

I'd suggest a few things on your team right now: Cinderace. It's a great Pokemon. But instead of using Iron Head, I'd suggest going for Gunk Shot instead. It's less accurate, but it does the same job of killing Fairies while also guaranteeing an OHKO on Clefable. 252 Atk Libero Cinderace Gunk...

SS OU Banded Ace with a Balanced Breakfast

Greetings, everyone! Are you tired of Cinderace seemingly only using Bulk Up Boots after Libero was released? Are you tired of having Cinderace's sweep cut short by a stray Zen Headbutt/status/what have you? Are you tired of seeing the fact that the soccer rabbit's Hidden Ability refers to a...

Resource Simple Questions, Simple Answers Thread

Thank you very much for the answer. It's also a shame that literally the only Pokemon that can possibly do much of anything against Dynamax are all Ubers (Zacian, Zamazenta, Eternatus). This is, quite possibly, the most broken gimmick I have seen in practice.

Resource Simple Questions, Simple Answers Thread

Given Dynamax is being a bit... Well, problematic, to put it mildly, why not use semi-invulnurable moves like Fly, Dig, Dive, etc? It wastes a turn of the opponent's Dynamax, thus turning it from three ungodly turns to two? Heck, if applied to a fast enough mon, they could use the...

    SM OU Volcarona+M-Gyarados Offensive Team

The addition of Rocks, while at first seemingly counterintuitive to Mew's Defog, actually helps in the long term. Mew with Ice Beam still works out though, as it OHKO's Lando-T far more efficiently than Lando-T's own HP-Ice without the risk of being hit with HP-Ice yourself

    SM OU Volcarona+M-Gyarados Offensive Team

Thanks, I would like to point out that, while I have not only not seen Dugtrio (yet) or that Volc is still one-shot by Stone Edge, even with Charti Berry, the changes were still beneficial. Gyarados can now puncture holes in teams he couldn't before (i.e Pelipper) and M-Pinsir finally gives me...

    SM OU Volcarona+M-Gyarados Offensive Team

Mew's Defog removes Rocks on the opposing side, too. If Mew had Rapid Spin instead I would be more accepting of that strategy. I was legit considering it at the start, but as it stands right now, not a chance.

SM OU Set Free - Volcarona Bulky Offense

Can verify, use both this Mew set (with Taunt rather than Softboiled) and HP Ground Volcarona, both work wonders for your team.

SM OU Narciso Anasui Will Never Score (Mega Gallade Bulky Offense)

Nice to know someone else here likes Jojo, shame it's the weakest part in the series. I'm sorry, what? I'm supposed to rate a team? Okay then. Anyways, looking at your team, I'd have to agree with Sun. Volcarona and Tapu Koko would destroy this team easily (trust me, I use the former myself.)...

    SM OU RMT

There's not a whole lot of direction with your team. Is it Offensive, as Zygarde Excadrill and MegaZardY would suggest, or is it Defensive, as Ferrothorn, Toxapex, or Clefable would suggest? Is your team built around one Pokemon, or is it built in a way that every single Pokemon benefits from...

    SM OU Volcarona+M-Gyarados Offensive Team

Introduction In Generation V, Volcarona was introduced as BW's premier Fire and Bug type. Its absurd Special Attack, alongside access to moves like Fire Blast, Giga Drain, and the legendary Quiver Dance, ensured its solid place in OU. Fast forward about 5 or so years and Volcarona is still in...

cant say After testing, Thundurus-T is, thanks to Assault Vest, a Special Attacking Mega Kangaskhan. This is VERY useful, as some Pokemon/team comps may be too strong for Kangaskhan.

Sorry I didnt respond immediately, but allow me to give my thoughts: -I use Lele instead of Ninetales because of Psychic Terrain. It makes a great Koko counter, as Ele terrain is overwritten by Psy Terrain. Not only this, but PsyTerrain blocks Priority moves that would give Eevee and its...

    Battle Spot Eevium Singles

MegaKanga turned out to be an amazing addition to the team. Its high attack compounded onto its amazing coverage pool makes it insanely powerful! Rock Slide in particular can kill most Celesteelas, and would likely make them flinch anyways for an easy 2HKO! Mega Kangaskhan replaces Tapu Fini.
