[SET COMMENTS]
  • Assault Vest Kingambit leverages its great bulk and defensive typing to take attacks from some of the metagame's most common special attackers, such as Raging Bolt and Gholdengo, and threaten significant damage in return with its high Attack and excellent offensive movepool. Its wide array of coverage and relative lack of weaknesses make it scary for foes to trade with, and Defiant deters common Intimidate users such as Incineroar and Hisuian Arcanine from switching in lest Kingambit become too powerful and take over games with its Sucker Punch pressure, though it is not as potentially game-ending as its Swords Dance set.
  • Kowtow Cleave does a great deal of consistent damage and notably OHKOes Indeedee-F and bulkless Gholdengo. Sucker Punch circumvents Kingambit's middling Speed tier by pressuring weakened faster foes such as Landorus, and it becomes especially threatening after a Defiant boost. Iron Head OHKOes Fairy-types such as Diancie and Alolan Ninetales as well as hitting common Ice-types like Baxcalibur and Kyurem for a lot of damage. Low Kick is Kingambit's best means to hit opposing Steel-types such as opposing Kingambit and Heatran, as well as opposing Dark-types like Incineroar and Chi-Yu. Brick Break is another option that does more damage to Chi-Yu and has the advantage of breaking screens.
  • Kingambit has a great deal of flexibility in its Tera type, allowing it to cover a wide variety of team-specific weaknesses both offensively and defensively, although some Tera types have greater offensive potential than others. Tera Fairy, for example, lets Kingambit resist Iron Hands's Fighting-type attacks and 2HKO it in return with Tera Blast. Tera Flying grants Kingambit immunity to Landorus's Earth Power and a way to OHKO Ogerpon-W and 2HKO Amoonguss and Rillaboom. Tera Ghost leaves it immune to Fake Out and common Fighting-type attacks from Iron Hands and Body Press users such as Archaludon and Diancie.
  • With an Assault Vest, Kingambit is able to soak up moves from common special attackers such as Gholdengo, Raging Bolt, and Glimmora and beat them with its own powerful attacks. It is particularly good against Tornadus as it resists Bleakwind Storm, which can also trigger Defiant. As such, Kingambit boasts a great deal of defensive responsibility, but it must remain wary of being whittled down too much, as accumulated damage over time and a lack of recovery means it can eventually get picked off by faster attackers with even neutral coverage.
  • Teammates like Landorus which have more consistent ways of threatening Steel-types like Heatran and Archaludon are required for Kingambit. Conversely, Landorus is one of the biggest threats to Kingambit, and as such it appreciates support from faster attackers that can OHKO it like Ogerpon-W and Chien-Pao. To make up for its low Speed, pivots like Incineroar and Rillaboom can help Kingambit get into attacking positions.

  • Assault Vest Kingambit leverages its great bulk and defensive typing to take attacks from some of the metagame's most common special attackers, such as Flutter Mane and Gholdengo, and threaten significant damage back onto them with its high Attack stat and excellent offensive movepool. Its wide array of coverage and lack of weaknesses makes it scary for foes to trade with a Kingambit, and Defiant even deters common Intimidate users incin lando-t from switching in lest Kingambit becomes too powerful and takes over games with its Sucker Punch pressure. Assault Vest Kingambit has many favorable matchups but rarely is an offensive win condition if it doesn't get Defiant boosts, and it may be a bit reliant on its Tera typing to cover for specific weaknesses; though it boasts a great deal of flexibility in the types it can be. i don't love this sentence. feels a lot like "this is a pokemon with strengths and weaknesses." you talk about having favorable matchups in first sentence. would rather have something like "though not as potentially game-ending as its Swords Dance set" tacked on to the beginning of the second sentence and cut this final one
  • Kowtow Cleave does a great deal of consistent damage and notably OHKOes Indeedee-F and bulkless Gholdengo. Sucker Punch circumvents Kingambit's middling speed tier by pressuring weakened faster foes such as Flutter Mane, and becomes especially threatening at +1 a little vague, would pref after a Defiant boost. Iron Head OHKOes Fairy-types in Flutter Mane and Diancie as well as common Ice-types like Baxcalibur and Kyurem you don't OHKO Bax or Kyurem, often forcing a defensive Tera when they're caught out of position meh on this last part, that's kinda all sv pokemon. Low Kick is Kingambit's best means to hit Steel-types such as opposing Kingambit, Heatran, and Dark-types like Incineroar and Chi-Yu, although Brick Break does more damage to Chi-Yu and has the advantage of breaking screens.
  • Kingambit has a great deal of flexibility in its Tera type, allowing it to cover a wide variety of team-specific weaknesses both offensively and defensively, although some Tera types have greater offensive potential. Tera Fairy, for example, lets Kingambit resist Iron Hands's Fighting-type attack and 2HKO it in return with Tera Blast, while Tera Flying grants Kingambit immunity to Landorus's Earth Power and a way to OHKO Ogerpon-W and 2HKO Amoonguss and Rillaboom. Tera Fire is notable for resisting Flutter Mane's Moonblast and Chi-Yu's Heat Wave, as well as granting a Will-O-Wisp immunity; Tera Poison lets it resist Flutter Mane and common Fighting-type attacks from Iron Hands and Body Press users, and Tera Ghost leaves it immune to Fake Out and aforementioned Fighting-type attacks.
  • With an Assault Vest, Kingambit is used to soak up moves from common special attackers, such as Gholdengo, Raging Bolt, and Glimmora, and beat them with its own powerful attacks. It is particularly good into Tornadus, as it resists Bleakwind Storm, whose secondary effect can trigger Defiant. As such, Kingambit boasts a great deal of defensive responsibility, but must remain wary to not get whittled down too much, as accumulated damage over time and a lack of self-recovery means it can get picked off by faster attackers with even neutral coverage.
  • Teammates like Landorus-I, who have more consistent ways of attacking Steel-types, like Heatran and Archaludon, are required, as Kingambit's Low Kick isn't a great damage option against such foes. Conversely, Landorus-I is one of the biggest threats to Kingambit, and as such it appreciates support from Ogerpon-W or other attackers who can hit it fast and whittle it down into Sucker Punch range would separate this into things that can outspeed + ohko (chien-pao, ogerpon) and the whittlers like flutter. One such attacker is Flutter Mane, who makes for a terrifying offensive pairing alongside Kingambit, and also has the added benefit of beating Iron Hands. To make up for its low Speed, pivots like Incineroar and Rillaboom help Kingambit get into attacking positions.

Its wide array of coverage and lack of weaknesses makes it scary for foes to trade with a Kingambit, and Defiant even deters common Intimidate users such as Incineroar and Landorus-T from switching in lest Kingambit becomes too powerful and takes over games with its Sucker Punch pressure, though it is not as potentially game-ending as its Swords Dance set.

Tera Fire is notable for resisting Flutter Mane's Moonblast and Chi-Yu's Heat Wave, as well as granting a Will-O-Wisp immunity; Tera Poison lets it resist Flutter Mane just its fairy type attacks, since it's going to be neutral to one of Flutter's attacks either way and common Fighting-type attacks from Iron Hands and Body Press users, and Tera Ghost leaves it immune to Fake Out and aforementioned Fighting-type attacks.
  • With an Assault Vest, Kingambit is used to soak up moves from common special attackers, such as Gholdengo, Raging Bolt, and Glimmora, and beat them with its own powerful attacks. • Teammates like Landorus-I, who have more consistent ways of attacking Steel-types, like Heatran and Archaludon, are required, as Kingambit's Low Kick isn't a great damage option against such foes. given this sentence, I have concerns about the mention of low kick re: heatran above, while it is true that it's the best option to hit it, I think I prefer if the mention above is modified in such a way to only be dark types or somehow work in that it is good particularly with tera fire, however that's a bit messy so I think removing it is better. Conversely, Landorus-I is one of the biggest threats to Kingambit, and as such it appreciates support from faster attackers who can OHKO it like Ogerpon-W and Chien-Pao. Another excellent teammate is Flutter Mane, who makes for a terrifying offensive pairing alongside Kingambit, and also has the added benefit of beating Iron Hands. good 2/2, some minor grammar edits in the first paragraph in red, they may be hard to see. I think it makes it read more naturally
