Pokemon #1: Maya the Kangaskhan
Pokemon Ability: Inner Focus

Pokemon Background: Maxim met Maya during a trip to the Safari Zone in Kanto. While on an excursion, Maxim met a pack of poachers attempting to get at a herd of Kangaskhan in the area. Pokemon #2: Vigil the Sigilyph
Pokemon Ability: Wonder Skin
Pokemon Item: None
Pokemon Background: Maxim met Vigil in the Desert Resort early on in his adventures. Vigil quickly proved his worth to the team, providing heavy support to the team in terms of flight, knowledge, and occasionally firepower. However, while Vigil knows a lot about ancient history, he unfortunately gets it mixed up with various conspiracy theories through the ages. His belief in conspiracy theories has made him very paranoid, and thus very bad at social interaction, though Maxim has been working with him on this.
Pokemon Helpful Quality: Vigil is knowledgeable about ancient ruins and archeology.
Pokemon Detrimental Quality: Vigil can be a paranoid wreck at times.

It's the dead of night. You, Maya, and Vigil are sitting atop the sofa marathoning your Mythbusters DVD collection. You're up to episode 325 so far. Any casual fan would have stopped long ago, but you are determined to keep going and finish the set. Having gotten this far, it's partially a matter of pride to you that you complete your marathon. But at the same time, you truly are enjoying yourself. Nestled under a soft fleece blanket with a giant bowl of microwaved popcorn to share among your Pokemon, there's nothing more you could possibly want than to stay like this for the next few hours.
Well, that's what you think. But when your hand touches the bottom of the popcorn bowl, you come to the tragic realization that the bowl is now empty.
Dang.
Reluctantly, you hit Pause on your remote. Your Pokemon whine, but once you explain the popcorn emergency to them, they understand what must be done. A trip to the grocery store is in order. You change out of your pajamas, quickly comb your hair, and exit out the front door.
Immediately, you notice that your tidy suburban neighborhood is looking very unfamiliar and very untidy. The sky is blood-red, with great streaks of fire arcing across the air. The ground under your feet groans and shifts, almost as if it is angry. Most of the houses around you have crumbled to their very foundations (some of them are on fire too). And when you look around, you don't see a single other person. What is going on, you wonder? And more importantly: is the grocery store still okay? Better get on that. After all, your marathon is at stake here.
---
You often find yourself stopping to step over rubble, but you still make good progress. Then, about halfway to the grocery store, you finally encounter a problem you can't ignore: a huge chasm spans across an entire city block. It's so deep that you can't see the bottom. What stands out to you in particular is the chasm's shape: an unnaturally perfect circle. What could have caused something like this?
Maxim how will your Pokemon respond to the obstacle ahead of you?
