:ditto: da blob :ditto:

[OVERVIEW]
- With Ditto's unique ability in Impostor, allowing it to copy a Pokemon when switching in and Choice Scarf to reliably revenge kill, Ditto finds a niche in RU as a reliable revenge killer to common threats such as Shell Smash Cloyster and Dragon Dance Flygon. This allows it to function well on stall teams by effectively reversing setup sweepers.

- Ditto is also useful against defensive teams, with its PP restoring every time it switches in and Ditto can copy utilty moves from Pokemon such as Umbreon to support its team.

- However, it can be tough to fit on teams, as it is extremely vulnerable to entry hazards, as it is forced to take entry hazard damage while switching in.

-On stall teams specifically, its also not commonly seen on most stall teams due to Quagsire being better at stopping setup attempts.

[SET]
name: Revenge Killer
move 1: Transform
move 2:
move 3:
move 4:
item: Choice Scarf
ability: Imposter
nature: Impish
evs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
IVs: 4 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
- Ditto's EVs maximize its HP, as it is the only stat that doesn't change when it is transformed.
- The Defense EVs maximizes its physical bulk and minimize Speed in case of the rare Ditto mirror matchup, while the Impish nature and 4 Speed IVs with a Choice Scarf allow it to outspeed Galarian Weezing, Dittos best counter.
- However, an alternate spread of 0 Speed IVs and a Relaxed nature can be used, as it maximizes Ditto's chances of winning mirror matchups.
- Ditto fits on teams who want a reliable revenge killer who isn't commonly walled by a single Pokemon.

- Wallbreakers, such as Toxtricity and Lucario are helpful for Ditto to help in its bad balance team matchup.
- Hazard removal from Pokemon such as Crobat help Ditto switch in safely into threats.
- Knock Off absorbers, such as Heracross and Galarian Weezing are especially important to keep Ditto's Choice Scarf, as its removal would prevent Ditto reliably revenge killing.
- Since Substitute blocks Imposter, Infiltrator Pokemon such as Toxic Crobat and Noivern are good countermeasures.
- Cleric support from Pokemon such as Umbreon and Sylveon help Ditto by removing status conditions while facing a matchup against stall teams.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

- Since Dittos entire niche comes in its ability to revenge kill, it shouldn't run anything other than Choice Scarf.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Weezing-Galar**: Galarian Weezing's ability Neutralizing Gas blocks Imposter, stopping it from Transforming.

**Substitute Users**: Since Impostor is blocked by Substitute, common Substitute users such as Chandelure and Raikou can prevent Ditto from revenge killing them and in turn, set up on Ditto.

**Knock Off users**: Common Knock Off users such as Pangoro and Escavalier removes Ditto's Choice Scarf, causing its niche as a revenge killer to be useless.

**Bulky setup sweepers**: As Ditto is often locked into a move due to its Choice Scarf, sweepers who gain more bulk while setting up such as Reuniclus, Metagross, and Suicune can counter Ditto.

- With Ditto's unique ability in Impostor, allowing it to copy a Pokemon when switching in and Choice Scarf to reliably revenge kill try to avoid dex data, Ditto finds a niche in RU as a reliable revenge killer to common threats such as Shell Smash Cloyster and Dragon Dance Flygon. This allows it to function well on stall teams by effectively reversing setup sweepers.

- Ditto is also useful against defensive teams, with its PP restoring every time it switches in and Ditto can copy utility moves from Pokemon such as Umbreon to support its team boasting psuedo-infinite PP as long as it can switch while also being able to copy utility moves from Pokemon like Umbreon.

- However, it can be tough to fit on teams, as it is extremely vulnerable to entry hazards, as it is forced to take entry hazard damage while switching in. you can definitely expand on this a bit more. perhaps mention how hazards compromise its ability to switch in without pivoting support or mindful sacks

-On stall teams specifically, its also not commonly seen on most stall teams due to Quagsire being better at stopping setup attempts. As a deterrent to setup sweepers, it faces major competition with Quagsire, who boasts better matchups against threats like Metagross that Ditto would otherwise lose to.

talk abt how it doesnt beat every set up sweeper (namely bulkier ones, i.e. reuni, metagross, etc.), which heavily hinders its consistency as a check to set up mons. also just in general, i think you should try to elaborate at least a smidge more

- Ditto fits on teams who want a reliable revenge killer who isn't commonly walled by a single Pokemon. move this down to the second paragraph of bullet points

- Wallbreakers, such as Toxtricity and Lucario are helpful for Ditto to help in its bad balance team matchup. what do these help ditto with in particular?
- Hazard removal from Pokemon such as Crobat help Ditto switch in safely into threats. like?
- Knock Off absorbers, such as Heracross and Galarian Weezing are especially important to keep Ditto's Choice Scarf, as its removal would prevent Ditto reliably revenge killing. render it unable to revenge kill offensive Pokemon.
- Since Substitute blocks Imposter, Infiltrator Pokemon such as Toxic Crobat and Noivern are good countermeasures. mention which sub pokemon they help against
- Cleric support from Pokemon such as Umbreon and Sylveon help Ditto by removing status conditions while facing a matchup against stall teams.

I'd recommend checking your spelling on a few things, as some words were spelled incorrectly.

-On stall teams specifically, it's (added apostrophe) also not commonly seen on most stall teams due to Quagsire being better at stopping setup attempts.(I have 0 idea what this sentence is for. You mention its position on stall teams at the beginning, but then mention it's not commonly seen on stall at the end.)

move 2:
move 3:
move 4:
item: Choice Scarf
ability: Imposter
nature: Impish
evs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def(This should be 248 HP, as it takes less damage from Stealth Rock this way)

[SET COMMENTS]
- Ditto's EVs maximize its HP, as it is the only stat that doesn't change when it is transformed.
- The Defense EVs maximizes its physical bulk and minimize Speed in case of the rare Ditto mirror matchup, while the Impish nature and 4 Speed IVs with a Choice Scarf allow it to outspeed Galarian Weezing, Ditto's (added apostrophe) best counter. (This is wrong, as Galarian Weezing often runs Levitate now to avoid being shit on by Flygon)
- However, an alternate spread of 0 Speed IVs and a Relaxed nature can be used, as it maximizes Ditto's chances of winning mirror matchups. (Mention 0 Speed IVs for Ditto wars, even though this isn't that common, and rephrase this sentence to make it fit with my prior suggestion)
- Ditto fits on teams who want a reliable revenge killer who isn't commonly walled by a single Pokemon. (Mention that it is often found on the poles of Hyper Offence and Stall, and doesn't typically fit that well on Balance)

- Wallbreakers, such as Toxtricity and Lucario are helpful for Ditto to help in its bad balance team matchup.
- Hazard removal from Pokemon such as Crobat help Ditto switch in safely into threats. (like?)
- Knock Off absorbers, such as Heracross (Heracross isn't a great Knock Off absorber since A) It needs its item since if you're running Ditto Heracross is going to be Guts + Flame Orb and you need Flame Orb to be burned and B) Heracross is notorious for hating chip damage) and Galarian Weezing are is especially important to keep Ditto's Choice Scarf, as its removal would prevent Ditto reliably revenge killing.(this is an opportunity to sneak in more examples)
- Since Substitute blocks Imposter, Infiltrator Pokemon such as Toxic Crobat and Noivern are good countermeasures. (Mention substitute users that they help against)
- Cleric support from Pokemon such as Umbreon and Sylveon help Ditto by removing status conditions while facing a matchup against stall teams.

i apologize for not managing this properly but im going to go ahead and reassign this analysis.
at this point in the gen the qc team doesn't see a lot of value of working on ditto when the onsite analysis is mostly up to date and to be quite frank more stuff to check just piles more work on top, considering we wanna get the important stuff out before sv comes out in a month. please feel free to take any other analysis that is up for reservation list (which we've updated now).
