Alright people, first of all the rules and regulations!


1) Single Entry due to sheer number of users in this round, so make it count.

2) You have until April 22 to submit, otherwise you forfeit on the virtue of being a pussie!

3) 4 Minutes max for each entry.

4) On the subject of who goes first, talk to the player in PMs if you want, not in this topic! This topic is about swag, pics, raps, lyrics, cheering whateva but coordination if any goes in the PM between players.

5) There's too many of you people! If you want to post MC names, pictures or anything else do it by yourself.

6) Audacity, Soundcloud are all good sites, others can be googled for.

7) You can reuse the instrumentals of someone else.

4) We all hail from different countries and languages, and the only thing that will appeal to most, aside from our obvious knowledge of English (that isn't to say I didn't adore the foreign language refrences, they were brilliant but not overdone) is pokemon. I don't want to hear meaningless pop culture references or a demonstration of how much world current affairs/sci-fi series you know about, this is pokemon, rap about it.

5) This isn't High School Musical where you do the entire thing with pairs of matching sentences that rhyme at the end, this is rap, play with the words and flow.

these aren't really be enforced are they? im not going to bump the other one, but while i can understand number 3, both numbers 4 and 5 are absurd.

This is the only one enforced, the other two are guidelines. I know you chaps are good and even if you participate in each other's entries would vote for the best rap in each match-up but for the sake of fairness and for your opponent to put his best effort and feel like he isn't facing someone who secured 2 or 3 votes, you can only call up guests from outside this round which are plenty. They don't even have to be smogonites.

Some pop culture references that are widely known that are modified to fit the pokemon world, good. An entire rap that mentions a pokemon once or twice and focus on them? Not good. It's common sense, you do want everyone to enjoy and understand your references, right?

What does this even mean?
The only thing I get out of this is "no AABB rhyme scheme," which, if you're trying to outlaw, is ridiculous. Pretty much every rap so far has been submitted using this rhyme scheme, and I don't see how you can outlaw it at the quarterfinals.

If that's not what you meant, then could you please elaborate/give an example?
