Gummy

...three, smiles go for miles!
[OVERVIEW]

- Galarian Farfetch'd is a great wallbreaker in the metagame thanks to a sky-high Attack stat and good movepool.
- As such, it finds itself a great teammate on offensive teams, able to do a notable chunk of damage to a good portion of the metagame and put on pressure from the get-go.
- Galarian Farfetch'd checks common Steel-types like Ferroseed and Pawniard, and provides Knock Off support for its team.
- Thanks to a great ability in Scrappy, Galarian Farfetch'd can fire off Fighting-type STAB with no issue.
- Competes with Timburr for a team slot; Timburr has STAB priority, Mach Punch, etc
- Struggles from a somewhat low Speed, and struggles to break past common checks like Spritzee and Mareanie.
- 4 moveslot syndrome.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

- Close Combat is the main STAB move and hits most of the tier hard, especially Steel-types like Ferroseed
- Brave Bird provides useful coverage against Grass- and Bug-types, like Cutiefly and Oddish
- Knock Off provides team support to soften up the opposing team
- Swords Dance can be used to turn Farfetch'd into a terrifying wallbreaker, hitting incredibly hard at +2 Attack
- Defog can be used to further support the team by clearing away entry hazards

Set Details
========

- EVs are mainly invested into Attack and Speed to hit as hard as possible, as fast as possible
- Remaining EVs put into HP for a bit of extra bulk
- Eviolite makes Farfetch'd take hits a bit more easily, which is important since it's Speed tier is middle-of-the-road
- An Adamant nature makes Farfetch'd hit a bit harder
- A Jolly nature can be used if you really want to outspeed Pawniard and Scraggy, but Pawniard can still tie with you if its Speed is maxed out

Usage Tips
========

- Farfetch'd can be used early game to punch holes into the opposing team
- Because of Scrappy, Farfetch'd can fire off Close Combat with no repercussions, other than the defensive drops; make sure to switch it out after a few debuffs
- Bringing it in on a U-turn or Volt Switch is a great way to keep the momentum on your side
- If running Swords Dance, Farfetch'd can set up on Pokemon it forces out, like Ferroseed or Scraggy

Team Options
========

- Cutiefly is a good offensive partner, as Farfetch'd can remove Steel-types and weaken the other team so Cutiefly can safely set up
- Farfetch'd has no way to deal with Mareanie, so a trapper that can reliably get rid of it like Trapinch or Diglett is a good teammate
- Fairy-type checks like Ferroseed and Mareanie can help Farfetch'd deal with Spritzee
- Entry hazard users like Onix soften up the opposing team even further to help Farfetch'd wallbreak

Other Options
=============

- Quick Attack is an option if you want some priority, but its base power is very low and rarely will come in use compared to Farfetch'd's other moves

Checks and Counters
===================

**Spritzee**: Spritzee's impressive bulk and Fairy typing allow it to take Farfetch'd's attacks and heal up with Wish.

**Mareanie**: Farfetch'd has no coverage moves that are supereffective against Mareanie, allowing it to switch in and freely Recover.
