[SET COMMENTS]
Garbodor is an amazing physical wall in the ZU metagame thanks to its access to both Spikes and Toxic Spikes, useful typing, and decent bulk. The combination of Rocky Helmet + Aftermath lets it force out a wide variety of physical threats like Centiskorch, Choice Scarf Sawk, Gurdurr, and Cinccino, chipping them down and scare them to hit Garbodor with their contact moves. Pain Split is Garbodor's best form of recovery, giving it more longevity. Stomping Tantrum is the preferred coverage move, hitting Steel-, Rock- and Poison-types such as Magneton, Lycanroc, and Skuntank respectively. Corrosive Gas is an alternative that lets Garbodor remove the opposing Pokemon item, crippling switch-ins such as Piloswine, Rhydon and Rotom. The given spread outspeed Jolly Rhydon while maximizing its physical bulk.

Garbodor fits on pretty much every offensive team as it benefits most attackers by chipping opposing Pokemon via Spikes or Rocky Helmet damage. Wallbreakers like Vanilluxe, Magneton, or Kangaskhan, appreciate Garbodor getting Spikes to wore down bulkier Pokemon while in return, Garbodor can switch into Fighting-types like Sawk and Gurdurr, that threaten them. Other Pokemon that appreciate Garbodor handling Fighting-types like Lycanroc or Cinccino are good partners. Pokemon that can switch on Ground-types like Tangela and Uxie synergizes well with Garbodor, while in return Garbodor can absorb Knock Off from Pokemon like Shiftry or Centiskorch. Pokemon that appreciate getting Toxic Spikes out of the field such as Silvally-Ground or -Ghost makes as good partners, Silvally-Ground in return will handle Rock- and Steel-type Pokemon while Silvally-Ghost can threaten pokemon like Uxie. Set-up sweepers like Frosmoth, Silvally-Ground or Lycanroc, likes hazards that Garbodor provides to ease KOs after boosting. Knock Off users like Uxie, Gurdurr, or Alolan Persian can take off opponent's Heavy-Duty Boots, taking the most advantage provided by Garbodor's Spikes.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Black Sludge can be used for more longevity, but it limits Garbodor's role of chipping physical Pokemon to only Aftermath when is KOd. Haze is an option to stop set-up from Pokemon like Silvally-Ghost. Toxic can be used to cripple Defoggers that are likely to come in, like Rotom-S or Cramorant, but those won't appreciate coming on Gunk Shot anyway.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Ground-types**: Ground-types such as Rhydon, Palossand, Piloswine and Silvally-Ground can threaten Garbodor with their respective Ground-type attacks. Though in Silvally-Ground case, it will get weaken by Aftermath and Rocky Helmet Damage.

**Special Wallbreakers**: Pokemon such as Magneton, Vanilluxe or specially offensive Basculin can heavily damage Garbodor, hindering its ability to handle physical foes.

**Uxie**: Uxie can come in on both hazards set by Garbodor thanks to Levitate, threatening Garbodor for a 2HKO with Psychic while handling Gunk Shot thanks to its bulk.

**Taunt users**: Pokemon like Alolan Persian, Qwilfish, Skuntank, or Golbat will outpace Garbodor and Taunt it, shutting down its ability to setup Spikes and forcing it out.

Garbodor is an amazing physical wall in the ZU metagame. Thanks to its access to both Spikes and Toxic Spikes, useful typing, and decent bulk. The combination of Rocky Helmet + Aftermath lets it sponge force out a wide variety of physical threats like Centiskorch, Sawk, Gurdurr, Sneasel, Cinccino and more limit examples to 4, chipping them down and scare them to hit Garbodor with their contact moves. Gunk Shot allows it to avoid passivity, hitting hard neutral foes like Magmortar or Rotom-S, difficulting them to come in for free or Defog with ease respectively. fluff Pain Split gives it longevity against bulkier Pokemon or simply when Garbodor is low on HP is Garbodor's best form of recovery. This may be crucial when Garbodor needs to come repeatedly on more than one physical foe. Corrosive Gas is an alternative that lets Garbodor remove the opposing Pokemon item, taking key items like Heavy-Duty Boots from Pokemon like Miltank will make them vulnerable to Garbodor's hazards Miltank isn't a Pokémon likely to switch into Garbo, you can find a better example imo. Don't forget to put it after ST.. Stomping Tantrum is the preferred coverage move, hitting Steel-, Rock - or Poison-types such as Stunfisk-Galar, Carbink or opposing Garbodor for some chip, or threaten frail ones like Magneton, Lycanroc or Skuntank respectively. Stomping Tantrum is so weak, that i don't think it's worth mentioning.

Garbodor fits on pretty much every offensive team as it benefits most attackers by chipping oppsing Pokemon via Spikes or Rocky Helmet damage.
Wallbreakers like Magmortar, Drampa, or Kangaskhan, appreciate Garbodor getting Spikes to wore down bulkier Pokemon while in return, Garbodor can switch into Fighting-types Pokemon like Sawk or and Gurdurr, sponging Knock off or their respective fFighting move so Pokemon that struggle with such Fighting-types such as Silvally-Dark, Lycanroc, and Vanilluxe (you can use other examples). Bulky Water-types like Wishiwashi or Cramorant can handle Ground-types with their STAB moves while Garbodor can come in on Pokemon like Shiftry bulky Water-types can't really handle Ground-types that well as they don't resist their STAB moves, I'd rather mention Levitators and Grass-types. Pokemon that appreciate getting Toxic Spikes out of the field such as Rhydon or Silvally-Ghost makes as good partners, Rhydon in return will handle Rock- and Steel-type Pokemon while Silvally-Ghost can threaten pokemon like Uxie Rhydon isn't that good a beating steel-types, as it doesn't handle Steel-types. Set-up sweepers like Frosmoth or Swords Dance Silvally-Dragon, likes hazards that Garbodor provides to ease KOs after boosting. Garbodor may also force Pokemon like Stunfisk-Galar to come in, chipping them with Spikes and Stompimg Tantrum allowing the aforementioned to sweep easily on late game. Mention Knock Off users are crucial to take as much advantage of spikes as possible as they knock off boots.

Black Sludge can be used for more longevity, but it shortens Garbodor's role of chipping physical Pokemon to only Aftermath when is KOd. Haze is an option to stop set-up from Pokemon like Silvally-Dragon or Ghost. A RestTalk variant can be used on bulkier teams, providing more reliable recovery than Pain Split. But it will waste usable moveslot for support. Toxic can be used to cripple Defoggers that are likely to come in, like Rotom-S or Cramorant, but those won't appreciate coming on Gunk Shot anyway. An alternative spread of 252 HP / 200 Def / 56 Spe allows it to outpace Jolly Rhydon and Adamant Perrserker. Mention Seed Bomb for Oma and Rhydon

Checks and Counters

**Ground-types**: Bulky Ground-types like Rhydon, Palossand, or Piloswine can threaten Garbodor with their respective Ground-type attacks avoiding both Rocky helmet and Aftermath damage Silvally-Ground is a major Ground-type whose .

**Special Wallbreakers**: Pokemon such as Magmortar, Choice Specs Vanilluxe, or Sspecially offensive Basculin can heavily damage Garbodor. Hindering its ability to handle physical foes.

**Uxie**: Uxie can come in on both hazards set by Garbodor thanks to Levitate. Threatening Garbodor for a 2HKO with Psychic while handling Gunk Shot thanks to its bulk.

Corrosive Gas is an alternative that lets Garbodor remove the opposing Pokemon item, crippling switch-ins such as Piloswine, Rhydon, and Rotom taking key items like Eviolite from Piloswine or Rhydon, or Choice Scarf from Rotom which would likely switch on Garbodor. Seed Bomb can be used to hit foes like Rhydon or Omastar, catching the latter while they may try to set-up on Garbodor. Omastar is gone now and most Ground-types outside of Rhydon take very little from Seed Bomb. You'd be better off running like Toxic and crippling them that way.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Ground-types**: Bulky Ground-types specifically Rhydon, Palossand, or Piloswine can threaten Garbodor with their respective Ground-type attacks avoiding both Rocky Helmet and Aftermath damage. (Add Silv Ground here and reword since it does proc rock helmet / aftermath with multi-attack)

**Special Wallbreakers**: Pokemon such as Magneton Magmortar, Vanilluxe or specially offensive Basculin can heavily damage Garbodor, (ac) hindering its ability to handle physical foes.

**Uxie**: Uxie can come in on both hazards set by Garbodor thanks to Levitate. Threatening Garbodor for a 2HKO with Psychic while handling Gunk Shot thanks to its bulk.

**Heavy-Duty Boots users** Heavy-Duty Boots really limit Garbodor's effectiveness. (This point isnt really neccesary, yeah HDB avoid Spikes/tspikes but HDB in and of itself doesnt "check or counter" garbodor. Outside of Centiskorch (which doesnt really beat you anyway) and Frosmoth, most relevant HDB users are immune to spikes anyway.)
