General Pokemon Discussion

Many of you may remember this thread in Dragonspiral Tower: http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=102611

It was a good thread idea and it promoted a lot of interesting discussion. However, it ended up shut down.

Honestly, I can't blame Haunter for shutting it down; however, I don't want this sort of thing to happen again, not just to me, but to anyone.

So my proposal is this: Create a General Pokemon Discussion board for topics like that.

This is a good idea. There is general discussion for older gens so why not have one for the current gen? Just not let it get out of hand.

This is a competitive forum. If you want to talk about general pokemon go to serebii.

Smogon is a competitive Pokemon community. We won't allow discussion threads about fantasy Pokemon or wild speculation on possible new evolutions. As the above poster said, this is not Serebii (no offense intended). Also, as Lady Salamence said, do not create threads with the same topic.
