When I say Moltres has some untapped offensive potential, I mean it! One of those sets you really hoped you wont face during the XY days, makes a return cause it works for the situation at hand. Gigalith is by no means a "z-solar beam with everything" bait like Quagsire is so you need to look for a more practical approach, and this is one that makes good use of grassium-Z.
For those that dont know, it is hella unlikely you will kill gigalith with z-solar beam under sand cause it is 60 bp while sand is active, so the Z-Move will use that as a base. This is incorrect, but w/e, with the boost on spdef that gigalith has under sand basically the same deal. The deal with this set is, you sunny day on the obvious gigalith switch-in, solarbeam is at full power, then you scout for protect first, and then:
252 SpA Moltres Bloom Doom (190 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Gigalith: 336-396 (89.8 - 105.8%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO
Virtually removed after Stealth Rock.
Lured, and it makes Moltres really fearsome for even water types to face as a bonus.
