Might as well remove Mence from Shoddy, Tracks Mence and Chomp from the start

Mence will not in anyway fit into uber. I have put a theory based on previous shoddy stastics. Somebody had to do this


Here are some Shoddy Stastics:

Brief Summary: Garchomp turning uber only affected the OU tier as before the ban, Chomp was used just as much. Salamence went from 10 to 3 immediately after Garchomp was banned, proving that Garchomp outclasses Mence in a way. My theory is that Garchomp's higher base speed, bulk, typing, and stab attacks had something to do with this. After Scizor entered OU, Mence moved to 3. Chomp hasn't changed much, always returning to 14.

Chomp's usuge isn't stable. Let's just say it's not top usuges. Mence is stationed at 2 although Latias and Rotom-A is just a little behind

Hasn't changed a lot in the past 6 months. Mence in uber has gone from the forties and thirties to the twenties.


Conclusion: Mence's ban won't affect Ubers much. You guys predicting Mence's role in ubers don't realize that a ban in OU won't affect ubers. Garchomp moved 3 ranks and that's just because shoddy was just starting. Mence despite what Smogon analysis say, is outclassed by Raquaza. 5 base speed is made up by extremespeed, strong attacks, bulkiness and better movepool. Mence recently at 4.74% in ubers is comparable to a pokemon in OU. Tentacruel, 4.56% in OU. Now when was the last time you seen one of them.

Also, usage in ubers doesn't matter. It's really just a ban tier for OU. (haters going to hate)

Like Despotar has already said, usage in Ubers doesn't matter. Neither does viability. Ubers isn't a "tier" per say, it's just a banlist from the Standard OU tier. It isn't meant to be balanced in any way.

Just because Mence is outclassed by Quaza in Ubers, doesn't mean no one will use him. I'm pretty sure he's meant to be a wallbreaking partner for Quaza, since they play in very similar ways. They're meant to be used as partners to break the opponents core.

And anyway, if you're really this bitter about Mence leaving OU, you can take up Ubers.

Garchomp rules in Ubers, and Salamence fares well when paired up with Rayquaza. Regardless, you should know by now the Uber metagame does not matter when we ban or unban something from or to OU.

I agree, Wynaut too should just be removed from Shoddy since no one will use it over Wobbuffet.

Kidding. But yes, Salamence's ban doesn't mean it has to work in Ubers, just that it doesn't work in OU. Also, some people will use Salamence, even if it does seem outclassed.

Mence won't be removed from shoddy because it is still a Pokemon.

No Pokemon will be removed because they aren't used.
