Hi everybody I'd like a team built around this core:
Vileplume @ Black Sludge
Ability: Effect Spore
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Synthesis
- Sludge Bomb
- Giga Drain
- Sleep Powder

Miltank (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 HP / 240 SpD / 16 Spe
Careful Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Body Slam
- Milk Drink
- Heal Bell

I feel like this two have great synergy but I don't find a way to build a team around this core without making it too passive. I don't mind if the the team is like semi-stall but I just don't want to get destroyed by setup sweepers. Thank you in advance ^^

I honestly haven't built much with Electivire so I was really looking forward to this submission. Electivire's mediocre speed tier kind of left me trying to build a balanced squad, since fast pokemon like Sceptile and Archeops could easily revenge kill it so I wanted to have some switch ins to fast pokemon. Weezing and Ferroseed create a backbone that Electivire can fall back on. Together they cover most of the bulky setup sweepers in NU, which Electivire struggles to break, such as Musharna, Mega Audino, and Malamar. Xatu was like the only bulky booster that could setup on Weezing and Ferroseed so Electivire comes in handy when Xatu comes into play. On Electivire's set I chose to use Hidden Power Grass over Volt Switch because this team appreciates Quagsire and Rhydon gone. On Ferroseed I went with Knock Off because of this team's Klinklang weakness. Kangaskhan was chosen for its Fake Out utility, this team is a little on the slow side so being able to Fake Out Vivillon, Sceptile, and other fast pokemon helps wear them down especially in conjunction with Toxic Spikes from Weezing. Kangaskhan's ghost immunity is also useful for this team. This team needed a zard check and a form of hazard control so I went with Kabutops. I chose the scarf set because it can catch fast pokemon off guard and get a surprise KO which would help Electivire not be revenge killed. Kabutops could also clean late-game with Waterfall if Electivire Nails Lanturn with EQ. Aqua Jet was slashed with Superpower because this team has a weakness to Combusken. Last on the team we have Malamar. Malamar can switch into weak special attacks and absorb status which this team appreciates. Specifically Vileplume, Lanturn's Scald, and Mantine which this team can lose momentum against.

Hi can I get a team around this set please? :D

Hey SlaySlenderDragon, here's an offensive team built around Linoone. Steelix is the biggest pain for Linoone to break past as it's not 2HKOed by any move it throws at it when boosted to +6, so I went with offensive Audino to lure Steelix and nail it with Fire Blast. Surf is nice for wearing down the likes of Regirock and Rhydon, while Healing Wish brings Linoone or any other teammate back to full if any of them got crippled in some sort of way. Next, I chose Steelix as the Stealth Rock setter, but with a little twist from the standard set; Sheer Force with Dark Pulse allows it to take down Rotom, who is immune to Extreme Speed and can cut Linoone's Attack with Will-O-Wisp before going down. Mismagius was chosen for two important things: Taunt and Memento, with the former preventing something like Weezing or Garbodor from laying Toxic Spikes, while the latter lets Linoone comfortably set up Belly Drum. Mismagius is also important for switching into the likes of Hitmonchan, Primeape, and Hariyama, all of which can prove troublesome otherwise. Sceptile is chosen next because the team is a tad slow so far and it needed a Pokemon able to revenge kill Tauros, Archeops, and Floatzel. Last the team appreciated having another mid- to late-game cleaner to I went with Swords Dance Samurott, who can act as a good backup plan should Linoone's sweep end prematurely, as well as revenge Fire-types which are very threatening for the team to face. Just make sure you don't let Toxic Spikes onto your side of the field and you should be fine. Also be careful of Fire-types when Mismagius is on the field, as giving any of them a free switch in can be devastating. Overall had a fun time testing this so I hope you enjoy!

Hy sorry for being lazy, but SPL and the suspect have taken up a lot of time and I didn't want to post teams that took Sawk into mind while the suspect was going on, but anyway I've updated the spreadsheet and finished up the two teams I took on, so here they are :o

Articuno
Requested by: iplaytennislol
Built by: rozes
Articuno @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Freeze-Dry
- Hurricane
- Substitute
- Roost

Omastar (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Shell Armor
EVs: 248 HP / 204 Def / 48 SpA / 8 Spe
Bold Nature

- Ice Beam
- Toxic Spikes
- Stealth Rock

Rotom @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature

Throh @ Leftovers
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD

Skuntank @ Lum Berry
Ability: Aftermath
EVs: 232 Atk / 132 SpD / 144 Spe

Sceptile @ Life Orb

EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Leaf Storm
- Rock Slide
- Earthquake
- Giga Drain
So I basically started off this team with the idea of using some form of Toxic Spikes in order to get the most out of SubRoost Cuno which can easily PP Stall the opponent. This is where Defensive Omastar came into play, as it provides a lot of key roles like Toxic Spikes and Rocks, and is a very reliable Hazard Setter. I wanted some form of spin blocking next, so I added scarf Rotom which also gave the team a bit of speed and allowed it to threaten things like Charizard / Scyther. I've also been experimenting with Throh recently, and it really enjoys the Hazard support from this team, while providing a pseudo check to special attackers due to its naturally high HP / SpDef Stat. I also then added on Skuntank as a pursuit trapper from ghost types that wall Throh, while being able to defog for Articuno. Sceptile was the last mon I added to the team as I didn't really have a solid water resist, and it gives a really nice speed tier so I dont have to rely on Rotom to revenge kill everything above 100 Speed.

Since you asked for ChickenPass you shall receive ChickenPass :O Basically started around the core of Chicken / Malamar, as providing Subs / Speed Boosts to Malamar is a really easy strategy in order to win games quickly. From there I wanted something else to pass to, but something that could handle things that could also get up rocks and check things that threaten Malamar. This is where SD Rhydon comes into play, as it can use the speed boosts itself, or just get up rocks and check things like Scyther / Audino that just wall Malamar. Sceptile was added as a Water Resist as well as giving the team natural speed, and being able to threaten bulky water types that would prevent Combusken from passing like Lanturn / Mantine. Xatu was the next mon I added as I wanted a little bit of Hazard control, as well as still wanting a Fighting Resist. This set is a basic Speed Recipient, as it can also sweep through teams late game due to the combo of Stored Power + Speed. Garbodor was the last mon added as something that could quickly threaten Mega Audino, while removing Toxic Spikes if they happened to get up due to 4/6 of the mons on this team being grounded.

Hope you guys enjoy the teams n_n

Thanks rozes for the fun team! It's pretty effective and I've even gotten some sweeps with Malamar and Xatu (One Xatu sweep was foiled by a Muk's Ice Punch though, damn you freezes) I've also tried out Heat Wave > Signal Beam on Xatu so the team can deal with Steelix a bit easier, but overall it's a really good team that is really awesome! Thanks!

I've even gotten a replay of a ChickenPass sweep:

So obviously the team started off with Life Orb Charizard which I was pretty hyped to build with so I hope the team is to your liking. Contrary to your request I decided to go with Will-o-Wisp > Dragon Pulse as dragon coverage on Charizard really doesn't do much for it and Will-o-Wisp helps lure in Hariyama and Lanturn along with rock types, whittling them to free up more wallbreaking opportunities for Charizard. I hope this change turns out satisfactory. Threw on Hitmonchan as it provides a reliable spinner for Charizard and does a good job applying pressure to the things that like to switch in on Zard. From there I added Lum Skuntank primarily to trap ghosts that try and prevent Hitmonchan from spinning but also to cover up the psychic weakness in the same slot. Threw on special Sceptile as a nice check to water types and immediate speed control and power. Decided to go with Rock Slide as it does a good job of luring Scyther and Zard which the team were starting to look a bit weak to. Proceeded to add Steelix, compressing normal resist, electric immunity, flying resist, and Stealth Rocks into one slot. This last slot took a bit of tinkering but in the end I ended up going with Choice Scarf Rotom as it has the ability to whittle Lanturn, opening up more opportunities for Charizard. Rotom also provided a secondary form of speed control and a way to pivot around, and cripple, Hariyama.

Requesting an offensive team made around Shell Smash Gorebyss. Gorebyss was once a pretty powerful threat, but since Omastar came, it's seen less usage and is less viable, but I think it can still have some niches in not being weak to Mach Punch like Omastar is and being pretty powerful against stall teams if it can get a Substitute up safely. Good luck builders, ans thanks in advance! n_n

Thought I'd post this now that everything broken + Sceptile is out of NU. MFlygon here is a decent balance team I made with your request. Miltank in particular is a pretty underrated Pokemon in nu. Sawk leaving is mainly what gave a lot more breathing room for Miltank to act as a bulky rocks setter. I stuck with the set you posted for the most part, only choosing to run Sap Sipper > Thick Fat since being able to check stuff like Vivillion and Lilligant is always appreciated. On Vileplume I opted to run worry seed since the end result was pretty weak to malamar. DD Rhydon is the teams main win con and also acts as a normal check for the team alongside rotom. Scarf Rotom and Lo Floatzel gives the team a lot of opportunities to pivot around which is nice to keep the opponent guessing and playing by the book. Hariyama is our main fire check and completes the teams defensive core alongside Miltank and Vileplume. Overall the team is pretty well insured versus most set up sweepers in NU which you mentioned as something you wanted the team to have. Only thing the team somewhat struggles with is Klinklang though with some smart switches that is somewhat mitigated. Anyway, I hope you have fun and enjoy the team!

Hi Eternally, here's your requested team. So I decided to build around CB Primeape because that's definitely my favorite Ape set, and with Mushy I went with Colbur since the team is really weak to Hariyama otherwise. Going off of that core, the first partner I thought of was Skuntank, which traps Psychics and Ghosts for Ape and provides a solid Psychic / Dark / Fighting core. I went with Fire Blast over Taunt to lure Steelix, which I don't have many great switchins for, especially if it's running Taunt. From there I added Magmortar which provides a strong check to lots of threats such as Lilligant, Pyroar, etc while also having a strong offensive presence. I chose EQ over Flame Charge because luring Lanturn and 2HKOing other Magmortar is more important for this team. Next up I went with Ferroseed, which provides both a Normal and Water resist as well as SR. Bullet Seed + Knock Off was chosen so I could Knock Off Xatu's Colbur Berry so Skunk can trap it more easily, while Bullet Seed prevents me from being setup bait for Barb. Lastly Scarf Rotom provides a soft Tauros + Flying check and provides general Speed. You could try bulky Rotom + Scarf Ape too but I prefer this variant.

Heya folks,

I haven't been around a while and I want to get back into NU. I have no idea what the meta looks like at the moment, so I figured I would ask you guys to provide a team around some cool mons I like that haven't been around when I still played. I also have no idea whether the first core I am going to post is any good, so I am going to provide two cores for you guys to build around - chose the one you personally like better, I personally don't mind either way.

First core:
Abomasnow + Floatzel

Abomasnow @ Life Orb
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Swords Dance
- Ice Shard
- Seed Bomb
- Blizzard

Floatzel @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Taunt
- Focus Blast

So I have never used Abomasnow before and it looks like a cool mon to try out. Not sure if this set is better or worse than the special attacker set, but it seems decent to me. Floatzel should work pretty well with Abomasnow, taking care of rock and fire types that would bother the grass yeti. It also seems like rain is pretty prevalent these days (from the little I have played), so Swift Swim would come in handy. Maybe I should run HP electric instead of Ice Beam, but I wouldn't really know. I'd imagine the pair is a good basis for a offensively focussed balance team.

The next idea I had was to combine Rampardos and Combusken. Rampardos is a power house in itself, but ohhhh so slow. My idea was to use Combusken to provide speed boosts for Rampardos, making him even deadlier. Now I have no idea how a good passing set looks for Combusken, and the ones provided at the smogon dex seem more offensively focussed. I'd imagine you'd run Eviolite over Life Orb, but for now, I'm leaving you with the suggested set and see what you change.

Rampardos @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Rock Slide
- Zen Headbutt
- Fire Punch/Earthquake/Iron Head
- Superpower

Combusken @ Life Orb
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Protect
- Baton Pass
- Fire Blast
- Focus Blast

Hope you guys are fine with this, as I personally don't care which core is being used and I like offering options.

Curse Poison Touch/Sticky Hold Muk @ Black Sludge @ Curse, Shadow Sneak, Poison Jab/Gunk Shot, Earthquake

A really underrated Pokemon imo, naturally high base HP, Attack and Sp Def stats, Curse to patch up its weaker defense and turn it into a strong win condition by boosting its attack to dangerous levels. Only 2 easy to cover weaknesses in Psychic and Ground and resistances to Grass, Bug, Poison and Fairy as well as the bonus of absorbing Toxic Spikes on entry. Priority Shadow Sneak whilst weak allows it to KO Haunter, Mismagius etc. before Will O Wisp/Destiny Bond shenanigans and Rotom before it tricks you its scarf, as well as finishing low HP pokemon off without needing to take a hit and providing a last ditch chance to poison if you run poison touch as the ability. It also can KO threatening Psychic types such as Jynx, Xatu, Grumpig etc. before they get chance to annihilate you. Earthquake for crucial coverage on pokemon like Skunk, Steelix, Muk, Mawile, Regirock, Probopass, Klinklang etc. which Poison STAB cant deal with.
Can set up on common high ranked Pokemon like Vileplume, Mega Audino, Skunk, Garbodor, Shiftry, Hariyama, Lilligant etc.

Team will need switchins to Will O Wisp or Heal Bell support, ways to defeat Pokemon like Weezing, Quagsire, Mesprit, Rhydon that this set doesnt cope well against.

I would like an offensive team built around the following 2 Pokémon (can't upload sprites on my phone)

Audino @ Audinite
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Calm Mind
- Dazzling Gleam
- Fire Blast
- Psychic

Samurott @ Lum Berry
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 112 HP / 252 Atk / 144 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Waterfall
- Aqua Jet
- Megahorn

The idea of this team is that Audino clears a path for Samurott to sweep. The Offensive Calm Mind set can lure in and KO Pokémon which would otherwise expect to wall Audino like Ferroseed, Weezing and Vileplume with Fire Blast or Psychic which also happen to be Samurott's best checks. Samurott's a great late game cleaner due to its good Attack and bulk, with Aqua Jet to make up for its average Speed. I am open to changing the EVs and moves on these Pokémon.

Hi there, I had some free time so I thought I'd take a bit to build a team for the lab! I started off with your original core but I modified the Samurott spread slightly to hit some important benchmarks (neutral natured Abomasnow and Garbodors that creep it) I wanted to compress rocker, normal resist, and electric immunity in one slot so I decided to throw on a SpD Steelix. Team lacked a defensive core outside of Steelix so I decided to throw on a nice pivot core of Xatu + Lanturn. This gives the team a fighting resist and soft form of hazard removal in Xatu, as well as a nice fire resist and secondary Rotom check in Lanturn. The last slot was a bit tricky but I decided to throw on a Choice Scarf Shiftry. This provides the team with some more speed control, revenge killer, as well as Tailwind support which can be fun with SD Samurott :3

I've only tested the team in about 4-5 high ladder matches but it has gone flawless so far. It has noticeable flaws that can force you to play aggressively but I'm fairly happy with the end result.

Decided to throw together another squad since the lab has been a bit dead lately. So starting out I had envisioned a sort of volt-turn core with some fun wallbreaker. I decided to pursue this concept and started out by throwing on a Choice Scarf Rotom to provide immediate speed control and complete the volt-turn core. I went on to add Abomasnow as it benefits from the things that Choice Banded Archeops lures in such as Steelix, Rhydon, and Piloswine. It also provides a way of immediately pressuring Lanturn, something that Rotom really appreciates. I was lacking a rocker and fire resist so I decided to throw on SpD Swords Dance Rhydon. This also provides me with a blanket check to physical attackers as well as an electric immunity. I went on to add a Calm Mind Xatu, to provide a secondary way of breaking bulky boosters like Mega-Audino. This set is interchangeable with standard pivot if you want. I was lacking a real switch ins to special attackers so I threw on a Hariyama. I'm aware of the fact that you requested offense and this is more so bulky offense, but hey, as a balance builder this was about as close as I could get!

I hope you enjoy the team n_n
(Also here are a few changes you could mess around with. Toxic Steelix > Rhydon with Pivot Xatu. Heavy Slam Hariyama with Pivot Xatu.)
