[OVERVIEW]

Rotom-H has a very unique typing that lets it check major threats such as Tapu Koko, Ferrothorn, and Mega Charizard Y. These are major selling points over using Rotom-W, but Rotom-H also has more weaknesses than the former, such as weaknesses to Rock- and Water-type attacks. Make sure you are using Rotom-H to check the unique threats that Rotom-W can't.

Below are some sample sets. These sets are likely to be standard, but they will be expanded upon and updated as the metagame progresses.

[SET]
name: Bulky Attacker
move 1: Volt Switch
move 2: Overheat
move 3: Will-O-Wisp
move 4: Hidden Power Ice / Thunderbolt
item: Sitrus Berry / Expert Belt / Fireum Z
ability: Levitate
nature: Calm / Modest
evs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

* Volt Switch is great for taking advantage of the Pokemon that Rotom-H forces out, such as Ferrothorn, Tapu Koko, and Celesteela.

* Overheat is Rotom-H's most powerful STAB, and the way roasts Steel-types like Ferrothorn and Mega Scizor.

* Will-O-Wisp cripples physical threats such as Garchomp, Tyranitar, and Mega Salamence.

* Hidden Power Ice deals massive damage to Dragon-types, while Thunderbolt is a reliable Electric-type attack for when Rotom-H needs to stay in, making it a better Mega Charizard Y check. It also can 2HKO Tapu Fini unlike Volt Switch.

* A Calm nature with the above EV spread and a Sitrus Berry makes Rotom-H a good check against Mega Charizard Y and Tapu Koko. Although riskier, Rotom-H can use a Wiki Berry to restore more of its health when it reaches 25% of its health.

* A Modest nature with maximum HP and Special Attack allows Rotom-H to deal much more damage, especially when using an Expert Belt, which makes Hidden Power Ice almost always OHKO Garchomp and Mega Salamence.

* Fireum Z allows Rotom-H to use its Fire STAB once without lowering its Special Attack, and it also OHKOs Tapu Koko with Z-Overheat.

* If you wish, you can invest more Speed to attempt to outspeed Tapu Fini. 12 Speed EVs will outspeed Tapu Fini that are designed to outspeed Alolan Marowak, but 132 Speed EVs will outspeed most Breloom and Tapu Fini.

* You'll need some Rock-type resists to help Rotom-H deal with the many Ground-types that run Rock-type attacks. Despite hitting Water-types hard with Electric-type attacks, having Water resists is a good idea as well. Watch out for Mega Venusuar as well, who is one of the few Grass-types to check Rotom-H due to Thick Fat.

[SET]
name: Choice Specs
move 1: Overheat
move 2: Volt Switch
move 3: Hidden Power Ice
move 4: Trick / Thunderbolt
item: Choice Specs
ability: Levitate
nature: Modest / Timid
evs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]

* Choice Specs boosted Overheat deals massive damage, OHKOing Tapu Koko and Aegislash, while 2HOing offensive Mega Venusaur.

* Volt Switch is very useful for scouting threats, while still almost always OHKOing Mega Charizard Y.

* Hidden Power Ice OHKOs Garchomp and Mega Salamence, and 2HKOs Hydreigon and Latios.

* Trick allows Rotom-H to cripple defensive threats such as Porygon2 and Cresselia, while Thunderbolt 2HKOs Heatran and OHKOs Tapu Fini.

* The given EV spread and nature allow Rotom-H to be a decent bulky attacker. However, you can run 132 Speed EVs to outspeed Breloom and many Tapu Fini, and a Timid nature with 220 Speed EVs to outspeed Jolly Mega Gyarados, Dragonite, Mamoswine, and Adamant Excadrill.

* Rock-type resistances are essential teammates for Rotom-H, especially against Tyranitar, who is a serious problem for this Rotom-H. Water-type checks are also a good idea, since Tapu Fini, Suicune, and Mega Gyarados can set up on Rotom-H that are not locked into an Electric-type attack.

[SET]
name: Choice Scarf
move 1: Volt Switch
move 2: Overheat
move 3: Hidden Power Ice
move 4: Trick / Thunderbolt
item: Choice Scarf
ability: Levitate
nature: Timid
evs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

* Volt Switch works well with Choice Scarf, allowing Rotom-H to attack and switch before its usually hit.

* Overheat is important for taking out Steel-types and dealing a lot of damage to Tapu Koko.

* Hidden Power Ice is Rotom-H's best shot against Garchomp, Mega Salamence, and Hydreigon.

* Trick allows Rotom-H to cripple defensive Pokemon such as Porygon2 and Cresselia.

* Thunderbolt is Rotom-H's only way of 2HKOing Tapu Fini, and it also lets Rotom-H deal serious damage to Mega Charizard Y without switching out.

* A Timid nature is usually best for Rotom-H, since it ensures that it outspeeds boosted Mega Gyarados and all Pheromosa.

* This Rotom-H is much more frail than usual, so switching it into attack such as Life Orb Tapu Koko's Thunderbolt will actually get it 2HKOed after Stealth Rock damage.

* Rock-type resists are more important than ever, since this Rotom-H does not have the bulk to take them well. Consider Water-type checks as well, since if Rotom-H is not locked into an Electric-type attack, it can be set up on by the likes of Suicune, Tapu Fini, or Mega Gyarados. Mega Venusaur is also a big issue, since it can't even be Tricked.

Not QC but a few things to say!
Rotom-W has a very unique typing that lets it check major threats such as Tapu Koko, Ferrothorn, and Mega Charizard Y.
^ I take it you mean Rotom-H?
* If you wish, you can invest more Speed to attempt to outspeed Tapu Fini.
^ Personal opinion, but it'd be nice to see how much speed we're talking about here. While these are preview analysis, newer players are unlikely to fine tune things like that themselves so it should probably be mentioned there.
* Hidden Power Ice is Tapu Koko' best shot against Garchomp, Mega Salamence, and Hydreigon.
^ *Is Rotom-H's
