[OVERVIEW]

Rotom-H's unique Fire / Electric typing provides key resistances to common offensive typings, such as Electric, Fire, Flying, Fairy, and Steel, allowing it to check Togekiss, Scizor, Mamoswine, and Mega Manectric all at once. When combined with its ability and access to Defog, this makes Rotom-H effective at role compression. With Defog, Rotom-H functions as an effective means of entry hazard removal and is able to threaten common hazard setters such as Klefki, Mega Aggron, and Hippowdon with Overheat and Toxic. Rotom-H's Speed tier allows it to outspeed important Pokemon in the tier like Mamoswine and Togekiss and just barely outspeed Nidoking, but it is slower than Pokemon such as Tentacruel and Moltres. Rotom-H also has a hard time removing hazards against setters such as Nihilego and Swampert, but Swampert does not like to be badly poisoned. It's often hard for Rotom-H to perform all of its roles effectively, as it is used to check many popular Pokemon in the metagame and has no reliable recovery, which causes it to be worn down easily. Rotom-H is also easily set up on by Dragon-types such as Kommo-o and Latias, as they resist its STAB moves; they do have to be wary of status conditions on the switch, though.

Moves
========

Defog lets Rotom-H take advantage of its ability to force out common entry hazard setters such as Mega Aggron, Chesnaught, and Klefki to remove hazards uninterrupted. Volt Switch allows Rotom-H to gain momentum and provide a safe switch for a teammate while dishing out respectable damage in the process. Toxic allows Rotom-H to cripple Pokemon that would normally give it trouble, such as Hippowdon, Swampert, and Latias. Will-O-Wisp can be used to cripple popular physical attackers such as Kommo-o, dropping their power and providing decent chip damage. Pain Split can be used to give Rotom-H a form of recovery, gaining back significant amounts of health when used against common switch-ins such as Blissey and Hydreigon, but Rotom-H has to give up either Defog or status to make room for it. Thunderbolt is another offensive option for Rotom-H, letting it heavily damage Flying-types such as Togekiss and Moltres without switching out, although carrying the move means giving up defensive utility.

Set Details
========

Rotom-H runs maximum Speed investment with a Timid nature to be able to outspeed Nidoking, Togekiss, Mamoswine, and Kommo-o, allowing it to hit these threats hard or cripple them. 20 Special Attack EVs allow Rotom-H to OHKO Celebi with Overheat after Stealth Rock damage. 236 HP EVs improve Rotom-H's bulk so it can check threats more reliably and also let Rotom-H activate its Iapapa Berry after switching into Stealth Rock three times. Iapapa Berry gives Rotom-H a form of burst recovery when its HP is low, increasing its longevity greatly with proper play. Leftovers can be used instead for a more reliable but less significant form of passive recovery. However, when using Leftovers, Rotom-H should use a spread of 232 HP / 24 SpA / 252 Spe so that it can switch into Stealth Rock more easily.

Usage Tips
========

Switch Rotom-H into common entry hazard setters such as Chesnaught and Mega Aggron frequently, but be wary of switching into moves like Leech Seed and Toxic. If you expect a switch, use Will-O-Wisp, Toxic, or Volt Switch. This allows Rotom-H to either inflict status conditions or send out a check to common switch-ins such as Nihilego and Latias without leaving either Rotom-H or your team vulnerable. Before deciding which move to use in these cases, consider the opponent's team and decide if you need to pivot or cripple a potential switch-in. Rotom-H's typing allows it to effectively check many of the top Pokemon of the tier, but it is easily worn down because of its abysmal HP stat, weakness to Stealth Rock, and lack of reliable options of recovery. Keep an eye on Rotom-H's HP, as it dropping down to 25% or below allows Iapapa Berry to activate and restore its health back up to 75%. Be careful of using Volt Switch when Pokemon such as Swampert and Gligar are on the opposing team, as they can stop Rotom-H from gaining momentum. Be wary of the Special Attack drop caused by Overheat, as it usually allows wallbreakers to switch in inconsequentially, gives foes a free turn to set up, and lets Pokemon like Alolan Muk Pursuit trap Rotom-H without taking much damage.

Team Options
========

Rotom-H is able to fit easily onto bulky offense or balance because of its role compression and defensive utility. It is easily able to fit into VoltTurn teams as well, being able to pair effectively with both Scizor and Hydreigon because of its defensive utility and access to Volt Switch. Scizor enjoys having Rotom-H as a partner, as it can check Moltres, which Scizor struggles with. In return, Scizor is able to check Pokemon Rotom-H struggles with, such as Nihilego, Mega Aerodactyl, Mega Altaria, and Terrakion. Rotom-H appreciates Pokemon like Nidoqueen and defensive Primarina that can take hits well from its checks such as Terrakion and Hydreigon, threaten them out, and absorb otherwise crippling status conditions. Rotom-H can pair well with Mega Altaria because of Rotom-H's utility as a Defogger and check to Scizor and Moltres. Mega Altaria can beat strong Dragon-types that would check Rotom-H, such as Hydreigon and Kommo-o, to support Rotom-H in return. Rotom-H appreciates Wish and cleric support, as it has problems with recovery and status. Alomomola, Sylveon, and Florges are great Pokemon for the job. Rotom-H's job as a pivot allows it to safely bring in wallbreakers such as Crawdaunt, Mamoswine, and Choice Specs Primarina. Pursuit trappers such as Alolan Muk, Mega Aerodactyl, and Krookodile are able to take advantage of Rotom-H's ability to lure in Latias and physically frail Pokemon such as Nihilego and Blissey to trap them much more easily. While Rotom-H matches up well against Scizor, it is useful to include another check to it on your team, as Quick Attack and All-Out Pummeling variants of it can KO Rotom-H and leave your team open to being swept.

Other Options
========

Offensive Rotom-H with Firium Z is an option to better offensively pressure Pokemon such as Gligar and Mamoswine, but this variant of Rotom-H is worn down very easily and has greater difficulty checking Scizor and Flying-types throughout the match due to its decreased bulk. Rotom-H can run a Choice Scarf set, but it often finds itself heavily outclassed by Mega Manectric and Infernape as a fast offensive pivot, especially due to Rotom-H's STAB combination being walled by Dragon-types. Trick is a good option for this set, as it allows Rotom-H to shut down walls such as Hippowdon and Blissey, locking them into moves and limiting their usefulness. The set is able to work if you are having heavy issues with the Pokemon Rotom-H checks and desperately need a Choice Scarf user, but only in very rare situations is the Choice Scarf set better than either of the aforementioned Pokemon. Thunder Wave is able to slow down often-problematic Pokemon such as Latias and Hydreigon to allow slower Pokemon such as Crawdaunt and Lucario to sweep more easily.


Checks and Counters
========

**Rock-types and Stealth Rock**: Rock-types such as Terrakion, Nihilego, Mega Aerodactyl, and Rhyperior give Rotom-H a hard time, as they can OHKO it with their super effective STAB moves. Rotom-H's weakness to Stealth Rock is often detrimental because of its lack of reliable recovery, limiting Rotom-H's longevity.
**Dragon-types**: Dragon-types such as Latias, Hydreigon, and Haxorus resist Rotom-H's STAB moves and are able to set up on Rotom-H, and Rotom-H must pivot out of them or risk being KOed. Many of them dislike Toxic, however.
**Toxic Poison**: Toxic poison completely ruins Rotom-H, as it cancels out its recovery and chips it considerably, leaving it forced to switch out to a cleric or limit its use even further.
**Strong Offensive Threats**: Pokemon such as Infernape, Terrakion, Mega Sharpedo, and Gengar (RC) and similar strong offensive pokemon can significantly wear down or outright KO Rotom-H, leaving it in a severely weakened state with only an unreliable Pain Split to recover HP.
**Bulky Ground-types**: Pokemon such as Swampert, Seismitoad, and Gligar are able to give Rotom-H trouble. All of these Pokemon except Gligar have to be wary of Toxic, though.

Before I get into everything, let me emphasize that this should be in bullet point format.

Overview:
  • Talk about how it’s “unique typing” helps it provide very convenient role compression in the sense that it can check Moltres and other birds while checking Scizor reliably in the same slot.
  • Also talk about how it’s unique typing coupled with it’s ability makes it one of the few reliably Mamoswine switch ins in the tier.
  • This entire section needs to be fleshed out. Let’s start with talking about how it’s main niche rn is as hazard removal that can pressure a lot of common hazard setters in the meta like Mega Aggron and Klefki, as well as Hippowdon through Toxic.
  • Talk about how it competes with Tentacruel and Moltres for the “hazard removal that beats sciz” slot. But neither of those mons check birds, while Rotom-H can, while also carrying Volt Switch to act as a pivot.
  • Talk about how the aforementioned two examples of competition it faces have a niche in the sense that they are fighting resists, able to reliably check things like Cobalion, Lucario, and Infernape. While Rotom-H cannot reliably do so.
  • Note it’s decent speed tier being able to outspeed threats such as Nidoking, Mamoswine, and Togekiss.
  • Talk about it’s rocks weakness, and how it can get overwhelmed easily due to it being a glue mon that does so many things while also being weak to rocks, making keeping rocks off the field extremely important.
  • It being good on volt turn teams is definitely a niche it has, but at this point it’s not big enough of a deal to talk about it like it’s the main niche Rotom-H has. I’d move the focus onto everything else I just mentioned and have the volt turn synergy part of Rotom kinda blend in a bit with the rest of the overview.

  • Overheat is 10000% mandatory to pressure steels such as Scizor and Bisharp as it’s only real STAB fire option.
  • Defog can be slashed as sometimes you need Rotom-H’s defensive capabilities while already having removal on your team.
  • SpDef Rotom-H isn’t good, it checks birds like Moltres and Togekiss just fine without spdef and the speed combined with a timid nature is way way way more important to actually outspeed stuff like Togekiss and Nidoking. Imagine being flinched down by Togekiss with Rotom-H after taking rocks one too many times, that’d be pretty depressing wouldn’t it.
  • 20 SpA OHKOs Celebi after rocks.
  • Rest is into Hp to give it as much defensive presence as possible to reliably check things like Scizor and birds and everything like that.

Moves:
  • While levitate does help Rotom-H’s case for being a good source of hazard removal it’s not because it makes it immune to spikes. It’s because it makes it so mons like Mega Aggron and Hippowdon can’t hit it with a super effective Earthquake. But this is still sort of beside the point. The point is that Defog is ran on Rotom-H to defog hazards away on common hazard setters… although your examples aren’t really great. Tentacruel doesn’t take too much from Volt Switch and is often running enough speed to outpace this anyways to pressure with Scald. Defensive Cobalion is like not common, most rocker Cobalions are just max atk max speed. Chesnaught is fine. Replace the former two examples for like, Mamoswine and Mega Aggron.
  • Specifically mentioning Krookodile is odd as it’s not the only ground that absorbs volt switch. But even then volt switch is like pretty spammable as Rotom beats most grounds anyways, and Pursuit is a 50/50 as it is.
  • Considering the set has been changed remove these specific percentage mentions for sure on Overheat. Aside from that, you are correct about losing offensive presence due to the -2 SpA drop of Overheat but all three of the mons you mentioned wall Rotom-H regardless of the -2 spa drop or not. You don’t even really need examples here you can just remove all three and change the wording to “However, Overheat should be used with caution as it drops your special attack by two after use. Making your offensive pressure plummet.” or whatever.
  • Toxic and Willo should get two separate bullet points. But Toxic should be emphasized on heavily. Toxic allows it to pressure things that can otherwise switch into Rotom-H pretty safely such as Latias, Swampert, and Hippowdon.
  • Make a separate bullet point about willo, and then change the mega beedrill example considering there will be almost no opportunities to every willowisp a mega bee with Rotom-H. Mbee doesn’t ever switch into Rotom-H and if they’re staring at each other Mbee is faster and will more than likely U-Turn on it. Remove the direction mention to “physical” zera, most of them are physical anyways. Scizor will also almost never stay in to get burnt by willowisp, if you’re expecting to get a free turn sciz vs rotom you’d just click overheat to kill it anyways. So just get rid of the “physical” part of the zera mention, change mbee example for something like Krookodile, and remove Scizor mention.
  • Maybe remove Alolan Muk because a) It’s not very common rn and b) It’ll just Pursuit trap you anyways so the psplit really didnt mean much. Change it to something like Hydreigon.
  • Mention Thunderbolt as another option because it’s a better way to directly pressure birds such as Moltres, Togekiss, and Mega Pidgeot, but you often have to give up a utility option for it.

Usage Tips:
  • Like I said before, this cobalion and tentacruel mention isn’t really the best. Talk about how it can come in safely on most of the steel type rockers to freely due to it’s typing couples with it’s ability, but should still be wary of toxic.
  • Talk about knowing when to volt switch vs. toxic. Volt blockers are no strangers to teams in UU as the vast majority of good teams have one, so make sure you are wary of that and know when to toxic, when to volt switch, or even when to hard switch out.
  • Kinda piggybacking off the previous thing I said, talk about how Rotom-H is really good at luring dragons, so if the opposing team has something like Latias or Hydreigon it’s best to spam volt switch for momentum, but toxic is a good middleground play.
  • This last bit you have here is out of place as it’s kinda like a mini checks and counters section in the usage tips section. Remove it.
  • Talk about how Rotom-H is often a glue mon for teams and should be used sparingly to be able to perform all of it’s roles to it’s best potential, aka don’t hard into attacks with rocks up very often, don’t be reckless with it, etc.

Team Options:

  • You are correct that Scizor is a great partner for Rotom but you should elaborate a bit on why. They form a good voltturn core, Rotom-H also checks Moltres reliably which is one of the most consistent Scizor checks the tier has to offer. While also breaking steels to give Scizor more breathing room.
  • Celebi is primarily used as an offensive mon these days as it’s really the only offensive grass this tier has left but you’re making it out to be a defensive utility mon in this case. I’d change it up a bit to just make make it a more general thing and say “pokemon like nidoqueen, amoonguss, and defensive primarina can give rotom a lot more breathing room due to their ability to absorb status and make up for rotom’s inability to check fighting types.”
  • Talk about how Rotom-H also functions as a pivot so breakers that appreciate free opportunities to come in through Volt Switch such as Crawdaunt and Mamoswine can be good.
  • I don’t really like this Bisharp point as Rotom-H can’t really come in on Infernape or Cobalion or Suicune very reliably and the Chesnaught thing is really all you have going for this.
  • I’d make a point about how other voltturners such as Hydreigon can be good with Rotom-H to form volt turn cores for momentum. I say Hydreigon specifically because Hydreigon lures steels and fairies which Rotom-H can take care of both very handily.
  • Pursuit users like Krookodile and Muk are good with Rotom-H as well because it lures and volt turns on many pursuitable mons such as Nihilego and Latias.

Other Options:
  • Delete the entire choice scarf section of the analysis and put it in other options lmao. Scarf Rotom is extremely niche and doesn’t deserve it’s own set on the analysis. Say something about how scarf can be viable on rotom when you’re in dire need of speed control combined with a dire need of Rotom-H’s defensive typing. Also talk about how it’s generally severely outclassed by similar fast pivots such as Infernape and Mega Manectric.

Checks and Counters:
  • You literally don’t have a checks and counters section bro. I’ll help you out and give you rock types, toxic, and dragons. But yeah you need this section.

  • Rotom's typing combined with it's ability allow it to check many prominent pokemon in the tier, such as Moltres, Togekiss, Chesnaught, and Scizor, and it allows Rotom-Heat to reliably beat Mamoswine, a feat very little pokemon in the tier can accomplish, all in one package.
    This could use a little better wording at the end, describe Rotom's ability to do all of this as useful role compression. Mention Mega Manectric too.
  • With its new access to defog, Rotom functions as a super effective hazard remover, and is able to threaten common hazard setters, such as Klefki, Mega Aggron, and Hippowdon with Overheat or Toxic respectively.
    I think it'd be worthwhile to mention that while it can pressure stuff like Swampert with Toxic, it'd be worth to mention rock setter that it does lose to, like pert and Nihilego, seperately.
  • Rotom faces competition in the tier as a Scizor check with hazard removal from the likes of Moltres and Tentacruel, but neither Moltres or Tentacruel are able to check common flying types, such as Crobat, the aforementioned Togekiss, and Mega Pidgeot. Rotom is also able to pivot out of things it checks, allowing frail pokemon like Mega Sharpedo, Bisharp, or Gengar to come in without getting damaged or killed in the process.
    Relplaced the ", and" before rotom since it was a run-on sentence there. Also, I'd say replace Crobat with a more meta-relevant choice, like Moltres. Compared to Togekiss, Pidgeot, and Moltres
  • Moltres and Tentacruel do have key fighting resistances, allowing them to come in and check Lucario, Cobalion, and Infernape, while Rotom crumples to these threats due to their raw power.
    This isn't about Moltres or Tentacruel, I'd either cut this out entirely or lead it into a "However," statement, which could show the reader the pros and cons of running Rotom.
  • Rotom has an interesting speed tier with 86 base speed, allowing it to outspeed important pokemon in the tier like Mamoswine, Togekiss, and just barely outspeed Nidoking, but still remains slower than some of its competition, Tentacruel and Moltres.
  • Sadly, Rotom is usually quite easily overwhelmed, due to its lack of recovery, weakness to stealth rocks, and its tendencies to take hits due to its speed, Making defog and wish a must to keep it healthy.
    Wish isn't a neccessity to run Rotom-H on a team, take this out.

Moves
========

  • Defog mixed with Rotom's ability levitate allow it to freely clear away spikes and avoid the otherwise detrimental earthquake, though it has limited switch ins to stealth rocks due to a weakness to them, taking 25% every time Rotom switches in. Rotom's typing forces common hazard setters such as defensive Mega Aggron, Hippowdon, Chesnaught, and Klefki to switch, allowing for an uninterrupted hazard wipe.
  • Volt Switch allows for Rotom to gain momentum, and provide a safe switch in for its team, while dishing out respectable damage in the process. In most scenarios except ground types, you can even Volt Switch on something switching in, allowing a pokemon that checks it to come in without risk of being hit.
    As vivalospride stated before, Rotom-H can beat most Ground types in a 1v1 scenario. Mention some Ground-types like Swampert, Gligar, Palossand, and/or Rhyperior that can actually block its Volt Switch.
  • Overheat is absolutely necessary on Rotom-Heat, as Overheat is the only offensive option as a fire stab. This strong stab allows it to scare away Bisharp and Scizor, and hit Mamoswine and Celebi for massive damage, even having a high chance to OHKO Celebi after stealth rock damage. Overheat completely drops your offensive presence however, which often means pokemon you usually scare out can now set up on you, or threaten status and damage.
    Take a little bit of time to specify pokemon that would want to take advantage of Rotom when or after it uses Overheat; Terrakion, Latias, Hydreigon, and the like.
  • Toxic allows Rotom to cripple pokemon that would normally give it trouble, such as Hippowdon, Swampert, Blissey, and Latias. allowing them to be whittled down so your late game cleaner to effectively run through these threats.
  • Will-O-Wisp can be used to cripple popular pokemon such as Zeraora, Kommo-o, Krookodile, Mega Altaria, and Mega Aggron, providing an important drop in power, and decent chip damage
  • Due to Rotom's lack of reliable recovery, Pain Split can be used on common Rotom's checks, such as Blissey, Hippowdon, and Hydreigon to gain back significant amounts of health and increase your longevity, but it does often mean giving up either Defog or status to make room.
  • Thunderbolt is another offensive option for Rotom, giving it a spammable option for flying types, being able to force out Moltres, Togekiss, and Mega Pidgeot, but using it means you give up utility for it.
  • Discharge is yet another good option for Rotom, doing less damage than thunderbolt but having a respectable 30% chance to paralyze a pokemon. This allows Rotom to still exert pressure to Flying types, but also have a chance to paralyze pokemon coming in, except ground types, making for a nice balance of utility and presence.


Set Details
========

  • Rotom runs max speed to be able to outspeed Nidoking, Togekiss, Mamoswine, and Kommo-o, allowing it to check these threats, or cripple them heavily, and runs 20 spa to have a great chance to OHKO Celebi, and puts the rest of its EVS into HP to be able to tank a variety of heavy hits amongst the tier. Defog is debatably the most droppable move, but only a viable option if you have another hazard wiper, such as Hydreigon.
    State Rotom's ability to drop Defog in a more matter-of-fact matter. Defog is a decent niche but its not terribly good at it thanks to its typing, it's ability to shine as a fast defensive pivot against a variety of common threats is the baseline reason for writing this analysis in the first place. Also make sure to mention that Overheat with this spread will OHKO Celebi only after Stealth Rock damage.

Usage Tips
========

  • Rotom's solid typing, paired with its ability, give it the ability to scare off many common walls or pivots, like the aforementioned Chesnaught, Mega Aggron, Moltres, and Mantine to safely defog, or cripple whatever pokemon sent out to counter it.
    Mention thatyou should try to hit Latias / Hydreigon / Nihilego with Discharge / Toxic on the switch since Rotom doesn't wanna take any of their attacks to get those attacks off.
  • Rotom's typing also allows it to be one of the best Scizor counters in UU, resisting both of Scizors STABs, and able to threaten it with either Will-O-Wisp or Overheat, which is able to reliably OHKO Scizor without taking much damage, and is able to reliably force out Scizor.
    Mention that the Rotom user should be wary of switching into Scizor with Stealth Rock up repeatedly, since U-turn + 25% every time it comes in will wear it down very quickly.
  • Rotom-Heat is an important pokemon in your team, holding it together and shouldn't be thrown into strong hits, or into stealth rocks unless completely necessary, becuase without Rotom, most teams fall to strong steels such as Scizor.
    This is a good reason to place a backup Scizor check into the team options section.
  • As one of UU's better dragon lures, be prepared to predict a switch in, but don't be overly predictive if your opponent has a steel type. It is usually preferable to use Toxic after you use Overheat, because setup sweepers like Latias and Kommo-o will be looking to come in and setup on you.
Counterintutive here, you just said that Rotom-Heat shouldn't be taking big hits but by staying in vs Latias and Kommo-o is risking exactly that. Rotom can Toxic either of them in desperation if they absolutely need to be stopped from setting up, but usually shouldn't be done in an early game scenario.



Team Options
========

  • While serving as one of Scizors greatest counters, Rotom Heat is also an amazing pokemon to pair with it, being able to tank the one type Scizor is weak to, fire, and is one of the best checks to Moltres. Rotom checks a large majority or steel types in the tier, Allowing Scizor to comfortably sweep.
    What does this last part mean? Rotom checking Steel-types doesn't exactly help an SD Zor sweep; a mon like Togekiss that can break down bulky Steels to help a Superpower-less Scizor win a game would make sense here but Rotom doesn't exactly bait in steels to make them take damage.
  • Rotom also appreciates pokemon like Amoongus, Nidoqueen, Defensive Primarina, and Mega Aggron that can take hits well from its checks, threaten in out, and absorb otherwise crippling status conditions.
  • Rotom also appreciates Wish support, allowing the team to patch up some of Rotom’s problems with recover. Blissey, Alomomola, and Sylveon are great pokemon for the job.
    I'd also mention Florges here, since it can be flexible enough to Wish pass, use Aromatherapy, and Defog to take pressure off of Rotom (though it shouldnt go without Synthesis, so it can basically cover 2/3 of these).
  • Rotom's job as a pivot allows it to safely switch in popular pokemon like Crawdaunt, Mamoswine, Darmanitan, and Zeraora, all pokemon that do not want to switch in because of there poor bulk or typing.
    Don't mention Darmanitan here, its barely relevant outside of some memes in the current meta.
  • Rotom heavily appreciates pokemon with either Aromatherapy or Heal bell. Sylveon and Blissey, yet again, are great partners to help Rotoms issue with status and recovery.
    Maybe combine this with the Wish passer section, since they're somewhat similar roles, and don't forget to mention Florges as a niche option.
  • Pursuit trappers such as Alolan Muk, Mega Aerodactyl, and Krookodile are able to abuse Rotom's ability to lure dragon types, and are able to consistently deal with otherwise threatening pokemon, like Latias, and Nihilego.
  • Rotom is a key part of VoltTurn, able to pair effectively with both Scizor, due to their naturally beneficial pairing stated above, and Hydreigon, due to Hydreigon's ability to lure in many of the tiers fairy types.
Just a cleanliness kinda thing here, maybe separate Scizor and Hydrei into 2 separate sentences.

Checks and Counters

  • Strong Rock Types: Rock types of the tier give Rotom a hard time, being able to hit it in one of its few weaknesses for massive damage, and all offensive rock types in the tier are able to effectively OHKO, with Rotom not being able to do anything to rock types.
    Give examples; Rhyperior, Nihilego, and Terrakion
  • Dragon Types: Dragon types resist both of Rotom-Heat's STAB, and are able to set up on Rotom, and Rotom must switch, leaving damage up to prediction.
  • Same here, Hydreigon and Latias are the most common examples.
  • Status: Rotom's typing allows only one status to afflict it, poison. Toxic completely ruins Rotom, as it cancels out its recovery and chips it considerably, leaving it forced to switch out to a cleric, or limit its use even further.
  • Haxorus: Haxorus outspeeds Rotom, resists both of its stabs, and is able to OHKO with earthquake due to Mold Breaker.
    Haxorus isnt very common at all, I'd just combine this with the Dragon section.
  • Powerful Scarfers: Pokemon such as Infernape, Terrakion, Hydreigon, Darmanitan, Gengar, and other common scarfers can hit Rotom extremely hard, and can easily overwhelm it, easily forcing it out.

Other Options
========
  • Rotom has a extremely niche Choice Scarf set, but it often finds itself heavily outclassed by Mega Manectric and Infernape as a fast offensive pivot, especially due to Rotom's STAB being hard walled by dragon, forcing Rotom to switch out. The set is able to work if you are having heavy issues with types Rotom walls, and desperately need speed control, but on very rare situations is the Choice Scarf set better than either of the aforementioned pokemon.
This section should go before Checks & Counters. I don't have any experience with this set so I won't comment, though tricking stuff like Blissey and Hippowdon seems usable enough to mention.

Rotom does lose to some offensive rock types, such as Nihilego and Swampert, but Swampert does have to worry about Toxic.
Mention its ability to Defog in the first sentence as well, because it's part of the reason why it offers such great role compression, and focus on how it fares as a remover in the line below. Also, in the last bit of the second sentence, you're stating that Swampert is a Rock-type, so fix that (you can just generalize it into 'However, Rotom still has a hard time removing hazards against Pokemon like Nihilego and Swampert...'

  • Rotom faces competition in the tier as a Scizor check with hazard removal from the likes of Moltres and Tentacruel, but neither Moltres or Tentacruel are able to check common flying types, Moltres, Togekiss, and Mega Pidgeot. Rotom is also able to pivot out of things it checks, allowing frail pokemon like Mega Sharpedo, Bisharp, or Gengar to come in without getting damaged or killed in the process.
This is way too specific and not a very accurate representation of Rotom-H's presence in the current meta, I'd remove it entirely. It doesn't face all of that direct competition mentioned, because they're all used in very different scenarios, and it actually has a large amount of characteristics that differentiate it from the Pokemon you mentioned. Defog Moltres is a much more appealing option to stall teams due to its access to Pressure, while Tentacruel checks a completely different set of Pokemon aside from Scizor (Cobalion, Infernape, Primarina, etc) and it's not a Flying resist or a Ground-type check ie they're just way too different in order for there to be a direct competition between them that would be worth talking about.

  • Sadly, Rotom is usually quite easily overwhelmed, due to its lack of recovery, weakness to stealth rocks, and its tendencies to take hits due to its speed, so it must be used sparingly to keep it healthy.
The point that you want to focus on is not that it must be used sparingly, but that sometimes it finds it hard to be able to fulfill its role properly, since it's being used to check a large set of Pokemon in one game, so mention that instead. Also, saying that it has a 'tendency to take hits' is very bland and doesn't really tell the reader much, so change it to something like 'ability to check multiple Pokemon'.

Make a point about how it can be used as setup fodder by Pokemon like Kommo-O and Latias, and how the Special Attack drops caused by Overheat can only aggravate this situation. Make another one talking about the amount of utility options it can run and offer to its team (Toxic, Pain Split, Defog, Will-O-Wisp, Thunder Wave, etc).

Remove Discharge entirely, it really doesn't have a useful application in practise if you think about it, since the main reason why you'd want to run another Electric STAB that didn't force you out would be to able to hit and reliably check stuff like Togekiss and you don't really benefit much from that 30% chance to paralyze (you'd rather Volt Switch/Toxic or even Thunder Wave against stuff like Hydreigon and Nihilego as well). Thunderbolt is also worth a slash, probably next to Volt Switch.

  • Will-O-Wisp can be used to cripple popular pokemon such as Zeraora, Kommo-o, Krookodile, Mega Altaria, and Mega Aggron, providing an important drop in power, and decent chip damage
Will-O-Wisp is only really useful to punish Kommo-O if it tries using Rotom-H as setup fodder, or Terrakion on the switch. You'd rather just Overheat vs Aggron, and you can still check Zeraora and Krookodile regardless, so remove those. Mega Altaria can also run stuff like Facade or Refresh so it's not the best example either.

  • Thunderbolt is another offensive option for Rotom, giving it a spammable option for flying types, being able to force out Moltres, Togekiss, and Mega Pidgeot, but using it means you give up utility for it.
Specifically mention that they can just Roost off the damage they took from Volt Switch, hence why Thunderbolt is more useful in those scenarios. I wouldn't mention Moltres or Pidgeot, however, since they both outspeed and would not really bother staying in on a Rotom most of the time, unless it was in range of being OHKOed by their attacks.

  • Rotom's typing also allows it to be one of the best Scizor counters in UU, resisting both of Scizors STABs, and able to threaten it with either Will-O-Wisp or Overheat, which is able to reliably OHKO Scizor without taking much damage, and is able to reliably force out Scizor.
  • Rotom should be wary of switching in to many times to Scizor, since it can be worn down very quickly from Scizor's U-turn in conjunction with Stealth Rock damage.
  • While Rotom-Heat can sponge hits from a variety of top threats in the tier, sending it directly into strong neutral or super effective moves is ill-advised, as it will be worn down quickly.
These are all very redundant and could be condensed into only one sentence, saying something along the lines of "While Rotom-Heat can check a variety of top threats in the tier like Scizor and Moltres, sending it directly into strong neutral hits is ill-advised, as it will be worn down quickly, and thus incapable of checking what it's supposed to".

  • Rotom Heat has the specific EV spread giving Rotom 20 SpA, allowing it to OHKO Celebi after stealth rocks.
Why is this in Usage Tips? especially when it's already stated in Set Details, which is where it should be. Remove it.

This section is missing a lot of important points about how to actually successfully use Rotom, like 1) how it should be switching into Stealth Rock setters that it matches up well against, so that it can Defog their hazards away, while avoiding taking Stealth Rock damage 2) how it shouldn't be switching into Toxic/Knock Off, since it can get worn down pretty fast due to the lack of reliable recovery 3) how the player should be mindful of setup sweepers that will try to use it as setup fodder like Terrakion and Kommo-O 4) how it should avoid switching in when Stealth Rock are up, since it means it has a harder time checking stuff like Moltres, the aforementioned Scizor, Celebi, etc, so be sure to mention all of those.

  • While serving as one of Scizors greatest counters, Rotom Heat is also an amazing pokemon to pair with it, being able to tank the one type Scizor is weak to, fire, and is one of the best checks to Moltres.
I'd go a little further on this point and specifically mention why these two have good synergy, since they both form a VoltTurn core and Scizor is able to check Rock-types like Nihilego and Mega Aerodactyl, while also threatening the setup sweepers that try to use Rotom-H as setup fodder like Terrakion and Mega Altaria with Bullet Punch.

I know that I'm not an amcheck or anything but I believe that Mega Altaria should be mentioned in Team Options. These two mons have really good synergy since Mega Altaria can easily deal with the Dragons that Rotom-H struggle to have any sort of counterplay against while Mega Altaria loves Rotom-H being one of the very few Scizor checks in the meta. By removing the Zor with Heattom, a DD Mega Alt could find far more opportunities to set up and finish off the opposing team. This is just me being me though and if it doesn't fit just correct me.

Rotom-H has a very unique typing in Fire and Electric, providing amazing coverage, while also providing key type resistances to common offensive typings (Give examples of the "common offensive typings" it resists). Rotom-H's typing, combined with its ability, give it effective role compression with access to Defog and the aforementioned resistances. It is able to check Moltres, Togekiss, Chesnaught, Scizor, Mamoswine, and Mega Manectric without having to run multiple pokemon. With its new access to Defog, Rotom-H functions as an effective means of entry hazard removal and is able to threaten common hazard setters, such as Klefki, Mega Aggron, and Hippowdon with Overheat or Toxic respectively. Rotom has a hard time removing hazards in front of pokemon such as Nihilego and Swampert, but Swampert does not like to be statused with Toxic. Rotom has an interesting speed tier with 86 base speed, allowing it to outspeed important pokemon in the tier like Mamoswine, Togekiss, and just barely outspeed Nidoking, but still remains slower than some of its competition, Tentacruel, and Moltres. It's often hard for its to fill its role effectively, as it is being used to check many popular pokemon in the meta and will often take hits because of it, and the problem is amplefied by its lack of reliable recovery (and rocks weakness). Rotom-H is also easily set up on by Kommo-o and Latias (this could prolly be reworded to "dragons such as Kommo-o and Latias" since it's not like those two are the only ones), as they resist both of its stab options, though they do have to be wary of status conditions on the switch.

Rotom-H runs Overheat as a strong STAB, allowing Rotom-H to exert offensive presence. Toxic allows Rotom-H to cripple Pokemon that would normally give it trouble, such as Hippowdon, Swampert, and Latias. This allows them to be whittled down so your late game cleaner to effectively run through these threats. Will-O-Wisp can be used to cripple popular Pokemon such as Kommo-o, and provides an important drop in power and decent chip damage. Due to Rotom-H's lack of reliable recovery, Pain Split can be used on common Rotom-H checks, such as Blissey and Hydreigon to gain back significant amounts of health and increase your longevity, but it does often mean giving up either Defog or status to make room. Rotom-H runs max speed to be able to outspeed Nidoking, Togekiss, Mamoswine, and Kommo-o, allowing it to hit these threats hard, or cripple them. Rotom-H runs 20 SpA to have a great chance to OHKO Celebi after stealth rock damage. Rotom-H puts the rest of its EVS into HP to be able to tank a variety of heavy hits amongst the tier. (I'd reword this last bit because heavy hitters in general can muscle through Rotom-H without much difficulty at all. Just change it to "the rest of the EVs is invested into Hp for as much bulk as possible" or something along the lines of that).

Usage Tips
========

Rotom-H's solid typing, paired with its ability, give it the ability to scare off many common walls or pivots, like the aforementioned Chesnaught and Mega Aggron, then safely Defog. (This almost looks identical to the first line of Moves so you can change it to something like "You can hard switch into hazard setters such as the aforementioned Chesnaught and Mega Aggron but be wary of things like Toxic and Leech Seed"). If you expect a switch use Will-o-Wisp, Toxic, or Volt Switch. This allows Rotom-H to either inflict status conditions or send out a check to common switch-ins such as Nihilego or Latias without leaving your team vunerable. Rotom-H's typing also allows it to effectively check many of the top Pokemon of the tier, but Rotom-H is easily worn out because of its abysmal HP stat and no reliable options of recovery for it. Keep an eye on your HP, as dropping HP down to 25% allows Iapapa berry to activate and restore your health back up to 75%. (I feel like this still needs to be fleshed out a bit. Start with talking about the risk vs reward for using Overheat due to it's -2 SpA drop. Also mention how it's beneficial to prioritize getting momentum with volt switch > crippling with toxic/willo sometimes due the possibility of giving breakers w/ a good matchup free turns or giving opportunities to pursuit trap).

Team Options
========

While serving as one of Scizors checks, Rotom-H is also an amazing Pokemon to pair with it, being able to tank the one type Scizor is weak to, and is a check to Moltres. Scizor is able to check some of Rotom-H's counters, such as Mega Aerodactyl and Nihilego, and can threaten both Mega Altaria and Terrakion with Bullet Punch. It appreciates pokemon like Amoongus, Nidoqueen, and Defensive Primarina that can take hits well from its checks, threaten them out, and absorb otherwise crippling status conditions. The reason Rotom-H appreciates these pokemon over something like Mega Aggron is the fact that Rotom-H has a hard time dealing with the strong fighting types of the tier, and it is useful to have a bulky resistance to switch into. (Say it's especially important because one thing Rotom-H's competition (tenta and moltres) have over it is a fighting resistance, so you need to make up for that if you choose Rotom-H over one of those other options). Rotom-H can pair well with Mega Altaria, because of Rotom-H's utility as a Scizor and Moltres check, that also has Defog and a Fairy resistance. This, combined with Mega Altaria's ability to nullify strong Dragon-types that would check Rotom-H, such as Latias, Hydreigon, and Kommo-o, makes Mega Altaria a very beneficial pokemon to pair with Rotom-H. Rotom-H appreciates cleric support, allowing the team to patch up some of Rotom-H’s problems with recovery and status. Alomomola, Sylveon, and Florges are great pokemon for the job. Rotom-H's job as a pivot allows it to safely switch in popular pokemon (replace "pokemon" for "breakers" because they're coming in to break shit and that's the whole point of getting them in thru a pivot) like Crawdaunt, Mamoswine, and Primarina, all pokemon that do not want to switch in because of there poor bulk or typing. Pursuit trappers such as Alolan Muk, Mega Aerodactyl, and Krookodile are able to abuse Rotom-H's ability to lure dragon types and special walls and are able to consistently deal with otherwise threatening pokemon. Latias, Nihilego and Blissey are all Pokemon that are susceptible to being KO'd (prolly erase "KO'd" and replace it with "trapped" considering you need quite a bit of chip on Blissey to actually KO it and even nihi needs some chip) trying to switch out. Rotom-H is able to fit easily into Bulky offense or balance because of its role compression and defensive utility, Rotom-H is easily able to fit into VoltTurn strategies, being able to pair effectively with both Scizor and Hydreigon because of its defensive utility (and access to volt switch), such as defog. Scizor has the naturally beneficial matchup listed above, and Hydreigon has the ability to lure fairies effectively because of its typing. It is useful to include another check to Scizor in your team, as moves such as Quick Attack can kill Rotom-H and leave your team open to being swept. Magneton is a great Pokemon for the job, as it resists Scizors STAB, along with quick attack, and can easily trap Scizor for a KO with Hidden Power Fire. (Erase this last sentence, Magneton should absolutely never go on a team that has Rotom-H on it, make the example something like Cobalion).

It's often hard for its Rotom-H to fill its role perform all of its roles effectively, as it is being used to check many popular pokemon Pokemon in the meta and will often take hits because of it, and the problem is amplefied by its lack of reliable recovery metagame and has no reliable recovery, which causes it to be worn down easily. Rotom-H is also easily set up on by dragons Dragon-types such as Kommo-o and Latias, as they resist both of its stab options, though its STAB moves; (ASC) they do have to be wary of status conditions on the switch, (AC) though.

(fluff; qc change) Its typing forces Defog lets Rotom-H take advantage of its ability to force out common hazard setters such as defensive (told to remove this in QC 3) Mega Aggron, Hippowdon, (hippo isn't forced to switch bc of rotom's typing it's just due to threat of toxic) Chesnaught, and Klefki to switch, allowing for an uninterrupted hazard wipe to remove entry hazards uninterrupted. Volt Switch allows for Rotom-H to gain momentum, (RC) and provide a safe switch in for its team for a teammate while dishing out respectable damage in the process. You should be careful of Pokemon such as Swampert and Gligar as they can stop Rotom-H from gaining momentum. (this is a usage tip and belongs in the corresponding section) Rotom-H runs Overheat as Overheat is a strong STAB attack, (RC) allowing Rotom-H to exert offensive presence that allows Rotom-H to reliably check threats such as Scizor and Mega Aggron. (former sentence was entirely fluff and unless i added some pertinent information i would've had to remove it entirely) Toxic allows Rotom-H to cripple Pokemon that would normally give it trouble, such as Hippowdon, Swampert, and Latias. This allows them to be whittled down so your late game cleaner to effectively run through these threats. (not a coherent sentence + not entirely necessary, not all teams have one late game cleaner and this is covered enough already with "cripple" in the previous sentence) Will-O-Wisp can be used to cripple popular Pokemon physical attackers such as Kommo-o, and provides an important drop in dropping their power and providing decent chip damage. Due to Rotom-H's lack of reliable recovery, Pain Split can be used on common Rotom-H checks, such as Blissey and Hydreigon to gain back significant amounts of health and increase your longevity to give Rotom-H a form of recovery, gaining back significant amounts of health when used against common switch-ins such as Blissey and Hydreigon, but it does often mean giving (not often, always) Rotom-H has to give up either Defog or status to make room. Thunderbolt is another offensive option for Rotom-H, giving it a more spammable option for flying types (the main reason is really to hit 'em w/o switching out rather than spammability) letting it heavily damage Flying-types such as Togekiss and Moltres without switching out, although it carrying the move means giving up defensive utility.

========

Rotom-H runs max speed maximum Speed investment with a Timid nature to be able to outspeed Nidoking, Togekiss, Mamoswine, and Kommo-o, allowing it to hit these threats hard, (RC) or cripple them. Rotom-H runs 20 SpA to have a great chance to (20 SpA Rotom-Heat Overheat vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Celebi: 300-354 (87.7 - 103.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock) 20 Special Attack EVs to OHKO Celebi with Overheat after stealth rock Stealth Rock damage. Rotom-H puts the rest of its EVS into HP to be able to improve its lackluster bulk. 236 HP EVs improve Rotom-H's bulk so it can check threats more reliably and also lets Rotom-H activate its Iapapa Berry after switching into Stealth Rock three times. Iapapa Berry gives Rotom-H a form of burst recovery when its health is low, increasing its longevity greatly with proper play. Leftovers can be used instead for a more reliable but less significant form of passive recovery. However, when using Leftovers, Rotom-H should use a spread of 232 HP / 24 SpA / 252 Spe so that it can switch into Stealth Rock more easily. (You were missing details on the items, which are necessary in this case. Also, 236 HP EVs is specifically to take 25% from SR in addition to improving bulk so i stated that. Rotom-H's bulk also isn't necessarily lackluster it's just relatively average)

Usage Tips
========
You want to switch Switch Rotom-H into common entry hazard setters such as the aforementioned Chesnaught and Mega Aggron as much as possible frequently, but be wary of things switching into moves like Toxic and Leech Seed and Toxic. (order of the lists needs to correspond w each other; naught=seed, agg=tox is prob what you were goin for) If you expect a switch, (AC) use Will-o-Wisp Will-O-Wisp, Toxic, or Volt Switch. This allows Rotom-H to either inflict status conditions or send out a check to common switch-ins such as Nihilego or Latias without leaving either Rotom-H or your team vunerable vulnerable. Before deciding which of status or Volt Switch move to use in these cases, consider the opponents opponent's team and decide if you need to pivot or cripple a potential switch in switch-in. Rotom-H's typing also (not adding on to anything) allows it to effectively check many of the top Pokemon of the tier, but Rotom-H it is easily worn out down because of its abysmal HP stat, (AC) weakness to Stealth Rock, (AC) and no lack of reliable options of recovery for it. Keep an eye on your HP, as dropping HP down to 25% or below allows Iapapa berry to activate and restore your health back up to 75%. Be careful of using Volt Switch when Pokemon such as Swampert and Gligar are on the opposing team, as they can stop Rotom-H from gaining momentum. (shifted from moves) Overheat is absolutely neccesary on Rotom-H due to having no better options, but you must be wary of the inherent -2 SpA you will be suffering. This (fluff+don't call rotom you) Be wary of the Special Attack drop caused by Overheat, as it usually allows for wallbreakers to switch in often inconsequentially and giving your opponent, (AC) gives foes a free turn to setup set up, and for pokemon lets Pokemon like Alolan Muk to Pursuit trap Rotom-H without taking much damage.
Team Options
========

While serving as one of Scizors checks, Rotom-H is also an amazing Pokemon to pair with it, being able to tank the one type Scizor is weak to, and is a check to Moltres. Scizor is able to check some of Rotom-H's counters, such as Mega Aerodactyl and Nihilego, and can threaten both Mega Altaria and Terrakion with Bullet Punch. It (There's a good bit to unpack with this one. The first sentence's beginning is entirely fluff, scizor being checked by rotomh is irrelevant to its usefulness as a partner. Rotom-H is really rather poor at checking any Fire-type other than Moltres, so saying it checks Fire as a whole is misleading. Mega Aerodactyl isn't a Rotom-H counter bc that mon does NOT want to hard into volt or willo; counters are things that hard switch in and win every time.) Scizor enjoys having Rotom-H as a partner, as it can check Moltres, which Scizor struggles with. In return, Scizor is able to check Pokemon Rotom-H struggles with, such as Nihilego, Mega Aerodactyl, Mega Altaria, and Terrakion. Rotom-H appreciates pokemon Pokemon like Amoongus, (can't think of an example for this one) Nidoqueen, and Defensive defensive Primarina that can take hits well from its checks such as Nihilego, Terrakion, and Hydreigon, threaten them out, and absorb otherwise crippling status conditions. The reason Rotom-H appreciates these pokemon over something like Mega Aggron is the fact that Rotom-H has a hard time dealing with the strong fighting types of the tier, so it has to rely on its team to support it in that regard. For this reason, Rotom-H face stiff competition with Tentacruel and Moltres because of their fighting resistances, as a team with Rotom-H need a Fighting-Type resist to keep it alive. (none of this is relevant to team options, it really doesn't compete with tenta and moltres as much as you think it does, it's not a bad pokemon by any stretch like you make it seem, its lack of fighting resistance isn't really a downside or an upside it's just a thing that it has so don't say that it's excessively weak to the punchy boys) Rotom-H can pair well with Mega Altaria, (RC) because of Rotom-H's utility as a Defogger and check to Scizor and Moltres check, that also has Defog and a Fairy resistance. (rotom is a poor fairy check) This, combined with Mega Altaria's ability to nullify Mega Altaria can beat strong Dragon-types that would check Rotom-H, such as Latias, (relatively poor lati check) Hydreigon, (RC) and Kommo-o, makes Mega Altaria a very beneficial pokemon to pair with to support Rotom-H in return. Rotom-H appreciates Wish and cleric (cleric=heal bell/aroma) support, allowing the team to patch up some of Rotom-H’s as it has problems with recovery and status. (remove doublespace)Alomomola, Sylveon, and Florges are great pokemon Pokemon for the job. Rotom-H's job as a pivot allows it to safely switch bring in popular (irrelevant) wallbreakers such as Crawdaunt, Mamoswine, and Primarina, (RC) all pokemon that do not want to switch in because of there poor bulk or typing. (unnecessary/implied/all wallbreakers enjoy free switches) Pursuit trappers such as Alolan Muk, Mega Aerodactyl, and Krookodile are able to abuse (abuse=to take advantage of in a negative way; not allowed in analyses) take advantage of Rotom-H's ability to lure dragon types in Latias and special walls and are able to consistently deal with otherwise threatening pokemon. Latias, Nihilego and Blissey are all Pokemon that are susceptible to being trapped trying to switch out. physically frail Pokemon such as Nihilego and Blissey to trap them much more easily. Rotom-H is able to fit easily into Bulky bulky offense or balance because of its role compression and defensive utility. Rotom-H is easily able to fit into VoltTurn strategies teams as well, being able to pair effectively with both Scizor and Hydreigon because of its defensive utility and access to Volt Switch. Scizor has the naturally beneficial matchup listed above, and Hydreigon has the ability to lure fairies effectively because of its typing. (again, rotom is a poor fairy check) It is useful to include another check to Scizor in your team, as moves such as Quick Attack and All-Out Pummeling variants of it can kill KO Rotom-H and leave your team open to being swept.

Offensive Rotom-H with Firium Z is an option to better offensively pressure Pokemon such as Gligar and Mamoswine, but this variant of Rotom-H is worn down very easily and has greater difficulty checking Scizor and Flying-types throughout the match due to its decreased bulk. Rotom-H has an extremely niche a Choice Scarf set, but it often finds itself heavily outclassed by Mega Manectric and Infernape as a fast offensive pivot, especially due to Rotom-H's STAB combination being hard walled by Dragon-types, (RC) forcing Rotom-H to switch out. Trick is a good option for the this set, as it allows Rotom-H to shut down walls such as Hippowdon and Blissey, locking them into moves and limiting their usefulness. The set is able to work if you are having heavy issues with types Rotom-H walls, (you don't just "wall" entire types) the Pokemon Rotom-H checks and desperately need speed control a Choice Scarf user, but on only in very rare situations is the Choice Scarf set better than either of the aforementioned Pokemon. Thunder Wave is a move that is (you do not need to state that it's a move) able to slow down often problematic often-problematic Pokemon such as Latias and Hydreigon, (RC) to allow slower sweepers such as Crawdaunt and Lucario to sweep without threat more easily.

**Strong Rock Types Rock-types and Stealth Rock**: Rock types of the tier Rock-types such as Terrakion, Nihilego, Mega Aerodactyl, and Rhyperior give Rotom-H a hard time, being able to hit it in one of its few weaknesses for massive damage. Offensive rock types in the tier, such as Terrakion, Nihilego, Mega Aerodactyl, and Rhyperior are able to effectively OHKO Rotom without it being able to use any means of counterplay. as they can OHKO it with their super effective STAB moves. Rotom-H's weakness to Stealth Rocks (no, bad) Rock is often detrimental, (RC) because of its lack of reliable recovery, limiting Rotom-H's field presence longevity.

**Dragon Types Dragon-types**: Dragon-types such as Latias, Hydreigon, and Haxorus resist both of Rotom-H's STAB (STAB=/=moves, STAB is the bonus. Don't call moves STABs) moves and are able to set up on Rotom-H, and Rotom-H must pivot out of them or risk being K.O'd (KOed, KOs (plural), KOes (present tense), KOing, etc. No apostrophes, no periods.) KOed. Many of them dislike Toxic, however.

**Status Toxic Poison**: Rotom-H's typing allows only one status to afflict it, poison. Toxic poison completely ruins Rotom-H, as it cancels out its recovery and chips it considerably, leaving it forced to switch out to a cleric or limit its use even further.

**Strong offensive threats Offensive Threats**: Pokemon such as Infernape, Terrakion, Hydreigon, (RC, you don't need this many examples here and you mentioned dreig in dragons) Mega Sharpedo, Gengar, and similar strong offensive pokemon can significantly wear down or outright KO Rotom-H, leaving it in a severely weakened state with only an unreliable Pain Split to recover HP.

**Bulky Ground Types Ground-types** Pokemon such as Swampert, Seismitoad, and Gligar are able to give Rotom-H trouble. All of these Pokemon except Gligar have to be wary of Toxic, (AC) though, (RC) allowing for some counterplay.

Rotom-H has a hard time removing hazards against Pokemon such as Nihilego and Swampert, but Swampert does not like to be badly poisoned. Rotom-H's Speed tier allows it to outspeed important Pokemon in the tier like Mamoswine and Togekiss and just barely outspeed Nidoking, but it is slower than Pokemon such as Tentacruel and Moltres.
