Guess who's going to jail tonight

[OVERVIEW]
Shedinja's unique ability in Wonder Guard allows it to potentially become a deadly late-game wincon, as it's able to completely wall threats such as Mesprit, Alolan Raichu, and Hitmonchan lacking Stone Edge. However, being stuck with only 1 HP nullifies any sort of defensive utility Shedinja could have for itself and makes it instantly fall to the ubiquitous users of entry hazards, Toxic and Will-O-Wisp, Leech Seed, and Snow Warning. Wonder Guard also does nothing against common attacking types such as Rock, Flying, and Dark, as well as Pursuit from the likes of Skuntank and Stoutland. All of this means Shedinja requires strenuous team support to function, which ultimately makes it a liability for most teams. Furthermore, Shedinja faces severe competition with Scyther as a setup sweeper, as it has superior stats across the board, reliable recovery, and the ability to pivot with U-turn.
[SET]
name: Swords Dance
move 1: Swords Dance
move 2: X-Scissor
move 3: Shadow Sneak
move 4: Will-O-Wisp / Protect
item: Focus Sash
ability: Wonder Guard
nature: Adamant
evs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
[SET COMMENTS]
Shedinja can utilize its access to Swords Dance and STAB priority Shadow Sneak to attempt the role of a Swords Dance sweeper. Unfortunately, Shedinja's mediocre Attack stat and low-Base Power moves force it to accumulate multiple Swords Dance boosts to pose any serious threat offensively. Its overreliance on Shadow Sneak to hit most foes in tandem with its several exploitable weaknesses often forces Shedinja to switch out, further diminishing its already limited role as a Swords Dance user.
