Apparently tds are re-evaluating the tricking decision so I feel like saying my piece.
The way tourbans work are generally as follows: entry bans and participation bans. Entry bans, the less severe punishment, mean that users cannot sign up for tours while tourbanned (tourbanned users physically cannot post in tour forum). Participation bans, in addition to including entry bans, remove the player from any tour they are already in. What I'd like to say is that tricking signed up for SPL in a fair way no matter how you define the tourban.
Now, under the assumption that it is a participation ban, tricking cannot play in spl while tourbanned, and that is totally fair. However, his tourban ends during week 1. I'd like to propose him being allowed to play week 2.
You might ask, "why can't he sub in mid week after his ban ends?" but the following should probably exist, akin to tiering bans: "a player cannot participate in a week/round in which they were banned at the start", at least for team tours. I also think the sharks would be okay with him missing one week but I apologize if I'm incorrect on this point.
The current ruling of nullifying his signup because "signups didn't end" yet also keeping his trade intact is very odd to me. Moreover, we cannot simply undo the trade because a whole lot of trades would then have justifiable cause to be reverted.
It seems simple to say tricking signed up before his ban, thus it counts, and will play after his ban ends. He's also already being punished by missing the now alumn'ing SC opportunity and we never adjust tourbans to specifically make people miss tours either.
It'd be nice to see tricking retained now and able to play week 2 onwards.
