[SET COMMENTS]
Vanilluxe acts as a potent stallbreaker, crippling premier walls in the tier. Blizzard functions as Vanilluxe's main STAB move, while Freeze-Dry allows it to hit Water-types like Poliwrath, Kingler, or Qwilfish. Taunt shuts down Pokemon such as Audino, Clefairy, and Miltank. Protect allows Vanilluxe to scout Choice-locked Pokemon like Rotom, Sawk, and Basculin, allowing a partner to safely switch in, while also chipping down foes with hail damage. Alternatively, Toxic can put the aforementioned walls on a timer while also catching common Vanilluxe switch-ins such as Centiskorch and Cryogonal. Snow Warning helps deal with opposing weather teams, making Vanilluxe a good utility option for the team.

VoltTurn partners such as Uxie, Rotom-S, and Wishiwashi are appreciated by Vanilluxe. Rotom-S and Silvally-Ground form a great offensive core with it; the former provides Defog support, while the latter helps against Fire- and Steel-types that threaten Vanilluxe. Knock Off absorbers like Qwilfish, Poliwrath, and Garbodor help Vanilluxe keep its Heavy-Duty Boots as long as possible while helping it deal with checks such as Centiskorch, Lycanroc, and Sawk. Qwilfish and Garbodor can also provide Spikes and Toxic Spikes support to wear down answers to Vanilluxe.

[SET COMMENTS]
Vanilluxe is an effective wallbreaker in ZU; its strong Special Attack plus the lack of Ice-resistant Pokemon make it a good option over other wallbreakers like Basculin and Centiskorch. Snow Warning allows it to shut down weather while chipping Vanilluxe's checks. Vanilluxe is mainly going to spam Choice Specs-boosted Blizzard to wallbreak, and it does decent damage, even to Ice-resistant foes like Qwilfish, Kingler, and Klinklang. Freeze-Dry allows it to hit bulky Water-types such as Poliwrath, Wishiwashi, and Pyukumuku, and it is safer to lock into when the opponent has Water-types remaining. Flash Cannon hits Ice-types such as Frosmoth, Froslass, and opposing Vanilluxe and guarantees an OHKO on Carbink. Water Pulse, while being rather weak, is Vanilluxe's best option to damage Fire-types like Centiskorch and Rapidash, which can switch into its Ice-type attacks.

Vanilluxe fits on bulky offensive and balance teams due to its wallbreaking capability. Entry hazard removal is crucial for this set; Defoggers like Altaria and Cramorant can provide it while also helping against Fire- and Fighting-types. Pivots such as Uxie and Alolan Persian are great to safely get in Vanilluxe; in particular, Uxie provides both Thunder Wave and U-turn support and checks Fighting-types that threaten Vanilluxe. Offensive VoltTurn users such as Rotom and Silvally-Ground also pair well with Vanilluxe, as they threaten Water- and Fire-types respectively, while Vanilluxe breaks down their checks quite easily. Water-types such as Qwilfish, Wishiwashi, and Poliwrath are great partners, as they can come in on Fire- and Steel-types. Poliwrath also forms a great core with Vanilluxe, as it can handle foes like Lycanroc and Thick Fat Miltank that can handle Vanilluxe's attacks.

Toxic can be used as the fourth move on the Choice Specs set to cripple foes like Cryogonal and Miltank on the switch. However, it is usually not worth it, as the coverage moves already help Vanilluxe deal with other threats offensively. A Modest nature can be used to more easily break walls such as Audino, but it leaves Vanilluxe outpaced by Pokemon like Kingler, Flapple, offensive Poliwrath, and Magneton. A Choice Scarf set can be used, but it lacks the wallbreaking power that Choice Specs has and is outpaced by common Choice Scarf users like Sawk and Rotom.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Faster Offensive Pokemon**: Pokemon like Sawk, Cinccino, and Lycanroc all outpace Vanilluxe's average Speed and can OHKO it.

**Fire-types**: Fire-types like Rapidash, Centiskorch, and Coalossal can come in on Blizzard and Freeze-Dry and threaten Vanilluxe back. Though they will have to watch out for Water Pulse and repeated chip damage.

**Miltank**: Thick Fat Miltank will avoid the 2HKO from Choice Specs Blizzard and heal back the damage.

**Specially Defensive Walls**: Cryogonal and Audino can come in on Choice Specs Blizzard. Even if Audino does not always avoid the 2HKO from Blizzard, it can use Protect, scout Vanilluxe's moves, switch out, and come back in thanks to Regenerator.

Vanilluxe aims to be is an effective wallbreaker in the ZU tier, with the combination of Snow Warning plus Blizzard, its strong Special Attack, and midly decent speed compared to other hail setters the comparison with other Snow Warning users isn't interessant since you don't use Vanilluxe for a Hail setter, a more relevant comparison is with other similar wallbreakers like Magmortar. Due to the lack of good Steel-tyes in the tier, Vanilluxe is mainly going to spam Choice Specs boosted Blizzards to make holes on the opposing team doing decent damage even to resisting foes like Qwilfish, Kingler, or Klinklang. Freeze-Dry allows it to hit bulky waters such as Poliwrath, Wishiwashi, and Pyukumuku, being safer to lock into it when the opponent has them. Flash Cannon is our 3rd option moveslot, hitting Ice-Types such as Frosmoth, Froslass, opposing Vanilluxe, and guaranteeing an OHKO on Carbink. Lastly Water Pulse, while being rather weak, is its best option to damage Fire-Types like Centiskorch and Magmortar, which would likely come often on can switch into Vanilluxe Ice-type attacks.

Vanilluxe fits on bulky offensive and balance teams for its wallbreaking capability. Try to get in on more passive pokemon or those who won't threaten with a KO to force your opponent to switch into its strong attacks. fluff For those reasons, pPivots such as Uxie or Persian-Alola are great to get Vanilluxe safely in, Colbur Berry Uxie in particular can come in on Fighting-Ttypes which that would threaten Vanilluxe and pivot out with U-turn. Water types such as Qwilfish, Wishiwashi, or Poliwrath are great parterns partners, as they can come in on Fire- and Steel-types handling them properly. The latter forms a great core with it. As Poliwrath can also handle foes like Lycanroc or Miltank which resists Vanilluxe attacks because of Thick Fat. Hazard Removal is crucial for this set. Defog partens partners like Altaria and Cramorant can provide it while also helping Vanilluxe weaknesses -> this should be the first point. Finally, offensive VoltTurn users such as Rotom and Silvally-Ground pair well with Vanilluxe, threaten Water and Fire Types respectively you can merge this with defensive VoltTurn users.

This Vanilluxe set acts as a potent Stallbreaker crippling premiere walls in the tier. Blizzard function as its main STAB, in conjunction with Freeze-Dry to hit Water-Types. Taunt is the main purpose of this set, annoying Pokemon such as Audino, Pyukumuku, or Jellicent to do their job -> Pyukumuku and Jellicent are already demolished by Freeze-Dry, you can find other examples like Clef. Protect allows it to scout for Choice-locked Pokemon like Drampa, Sawk, or Basculin while also chipping down enemies with hail damage, letting a partner to switch safely on them while you already scout their move. Alternatively, Toxic can put those aforementioned walls on a timer while also catching common Vanilluxe switch-ins such as Centiskorch and Cryogonal.

Partners that pivot with VoltTurn are very appreciated by Vanilluxe. For that matter, Pokemon like Uxie, Rotom-S, or Wishiwashi function well with Vanilluxe; the second can also provide Defog support while the latter can force Grass-Types to come in giving Vanilluxe free chance to launch a Blizzard. Knock Off absorbers like Qwilfish, Poliwrath, or Silvally-Ground helps Vanilluxe keeping its boots as long as possible, as any sort of hazards will heavily damage Vanilluxe use in battle. Qwilfish can provide Spikes support to make Vanilluxe answers wear down while walling Centiskorch and being a safe switch to Fighting types; while Poliwrath can switch on rRock-types like Lycanroc, Carbink, or Coalossal. Silvally-Ground on last helps it against the rare Steel-types like Perrserker and Klinklang, threaten Fire-Types like Magmortar, and can pivot or bring defog support for the team. Try to present archetypes rather than individual examples.

Toxic can be used as a 4th slot on Choice Specs to cripple stuff like Cryogonal or Miltank on the switch. But it's usually not worth wasting a slot as the coverage moves already help Vanilluxe dealing with other threats offensively. A Modest nature can be used but it lets Vanilluxe exposed to Pokemon like Kingler, Flapple, offensive Poliwrath, and Magneton which that would outspeed it. Scarf set can be used, but it lacks the wallbreaking power that Specs has and is outpaced by common scarfers in the tier like Sawk and Rotom.

**Lycanroc**: Offensive Rock-Types mainly Lycanroc can OHKO Vanilluxe with Stone Edge or revenge kill it with Accelerock. .
Goes under faster offensive Pokemon
**Mlitank**: Thick Fat Miltank will avoid the 2HKO from Choice Specs Blizzard even with no Sp. Def investment and heal the damage.

**Specially Defensive Walls**: Cryogonal and Audino can also come in on Vanilluxe main attack on Choice Specs set. Even if Audino does not always avoid the 2HKO from Blizzard. It can protect and scout Vanilluxe moves and then come back thanks to Regenerator.
