[SET COMMENTS]
Vanilluxe acts as a potent stallbreaker, crippling premier walls in the tier. Blizzard functions as Vanilluxe's main STAB move, while Freeze-Dry allows it to hit Water-types like Poliwrath, Kingler, or Qwilfish. Taunt shuts down Pokemon such as Audino, Clefairy, and Miltank. Protect allows Vanilluxe to scout Choice-locked Pokemon like Rotom, Sawk, and Basculin, allowing a partner to safely switch in, while also chipping down foes with hail damage. Alternatively, Toxic can put the aforementioned walls on a timer while also catching common Vanilluxe switch-ins such as Centiskorch and Cryogonal. Snow Warning helps deal with opposing weather teams, making Vanilluxe a good utility option for the team.
VoltTurn partners such as Uxie, Rotom-S, and Wishiwashi are appreciated by Vanilluxe. Rotom-S and Silvally-Ground form a great offensive core with it; the former provides Defog support, while the latter helps against Fire- and Steel-types that threaten Vanilluxe. Knock Off absorbers like Qwilfish, Poliwrath, and Garbodor help Vanilluxe keep its Heavy-Duty Boots as long as possible while helping it deal with checks such as Centiskorch, Lycanroc, and Sawk. Qwilfish and Garbodor can also provide Spikes and Toxic Spikes support to wear down answers to Vanilluxe.

name: Choice Specs
move 1: Blizzard
move 2: Freeze-Dry
move 3: Flash Cannon
move 4: Water Pulse
item: Choice Specs
ability: Snow Warning
nature: Timid
evs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
[SET COMMENTS]
Vanilluxe is an effective wallbreaker in ZU; its strong Special Attack plus the lack of Ice-resistant Pokemon make it a good option over other wallbreakers like Basculin and Centiskorch. Snow Warning allows it to shut down weather while chipping Vanilluxe's checks. Vanilluxe is mainly going to spam Choice Specs-boosted Blizzard to wallbreak, and it does decent damage, even to Ice-resistant foes like Qwilfish, Kingler, and Klinklang. Freeze-Dry allows it to hit bulky Water-types such as Poliwrath, Wishiwashi, and Pyukumuku, and it is safer to lock into when the opponent has Water-types remaining. Flash Cannon hits Ice-types such as Frosmoth, Froslass, and opposing Vanilluxe and guarantees an OHKO on Carbink. Water Pulse, while being rather weak, is Vanilluxe's best option to damage Fire-types like Centiskorch and Rapidash, which can switch into its Ice-type attacks.
Vanilluxe fits on bulky offensive and balance teams due to its wallbreaking capability. Entry hazard removal is crucial for this set; Defoggers like Altaria and Cramorant can provide it while also helping against Fire- and Fighting-types. Pivots such as Uxie and Alolan Persian are great to safely get in Vanilluxe; in particular, Uxie provides both Thunder Wave and U-turn support and checks Fighting-types that threaten Vanilluxe. Offensive VoltTurn users such as Rotom and Silvally-Ground also pair well with Vanilluxe, as they threaten Water- and Fire-types respectively, while Vanilluxe breaks down their checks quite easily. Water-types such as Qwilfish, Wishiwashi, and Poliwrath are great partners, as they can come in on Fire- and Steel-types. Poliwrath also forms a great core with Vanilluxe, as it can handle foes like Lycanroc and Thick Fat Miltank that can handle Vanilluxe's attacks.

Other Options
=============
Toxic can be used as the fourth move on the Choice Specs set to cripple foes like Cryogonal and Miltank on the switch. However, it is usually not worth it, as the coverage moves already help Vanilluxe deal with other threats offensively. A Modest nature can be used to more easily break walls such as Audino, but it leaves Vanilluxe outpaced by Pokemon like Kingler, Flapple, offensive Poliwrath, and Magneton. A Choice Scarf set can be used, but it lacks the wallbreaking power that Choice Specs has and is outpaced by common Choice Scarf users like Sawk and Rotom.
Checks and Counters
===================
**Faster Offensive Pokemon**: Pokemon like Sawk, Cinccino, and Lycanroc all outpace Vanilluxe's average Speed and can OHKO it.
**Fire-types**: Fire-types like Rapidash, Centiskorch, and Coalossal can come in on Blizzard and Freeze-Dry and threaten Vanilluxe back. Though they will have to watch out for Water Pulse and repeated chip damage.
**Miltank**: Thick Fat Miltank will avoid the 2HKO from Choice Specs Blizzard and heal back the damage.
**Specially Defensive Walls**: Cryogonal and Audino can come in on Choice Specs Blizzard. Even if Audino does not always avoid the 2HKO from Blizzard, it can use Protect, scout Vanilluxe's moves, switch out, and come back in thanks to Regenerator.
