Incineroar @ Assault Vest
Ability: Intimidate
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 116 Atk / 52 Def / 76 SpD / 12 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Fake Out
- Knock Off
- Flare Blitz
- Low Kick

The release of Incineroar's Hidden Ability, Intimidate, has turned it into one of the best Pokemon of the VGC 2018 format, now surpassing even Landorus-T in usage. In addition to checking prominent threats such as Tapu Lele and Mega Charizard Y, Incineroar provides valuable utility thanks to Fake Out and Knock Off. These options, combined with Intimidate, make it an ideal partner for teams that require support to set up; this particular set was used by Joseph Costagliola to top cut the Charlotte Regionals event on a team that featured Trick Room Porygon2 and Belly Drum Snorlax. However, thanks to its versatility, Assault Vest Incineroar can fit on teams built around any kind of playstyle. The given EVs allow it to survive two Stomping Tantrums from Mega Metagross after Intimidate, two Thunderbolts from Life Orb Tapu Koko, or Hydro Pump in the rain from Kingdra. Low Kick deals massive damage to Tyranitar and Heatran, both of which are otherwise great answers.

Incineroar contributes to VGC teams in so many ways it’s a bit like a Swiss Army knife: it offers valuable utility
This is a lot of fluff when I feel like it should instead open with a comment about its newfound access to Intimidate dramatically increasing its usage/viability. That's the reason we're bothering to spotlight it after all.
This set, used by...
You could lead into this more organically by stating that Incineroar's Fake Out and Intimidate make it most suited to teams requiring a turn to set up moves such as Trick Room and Belly Drum. This gives context for its use specifically outside of checking certain foes, which could theoretically be done by similarly typed Pokemon.
both of which which are otherwise
Fix.

Ok, I rewrote most of it based on your comments. I tried to connect everything better and make the important points stand out more. Hope it's better now!

Thanks for the check!

(top cut? What does this mean)
The top cut is the 2nd stage of a tournament after the Swiss rounds, it's generally top 8 but can be top 16 or 32 depending on how many people entered. Do you think this should be specified/rephrased?
