Worst Type Combination

rock/ice is pretty nasty
weak to water:most water types carry surf
weak to grass:can beat with ice beam but after the faint of one pokemon a rozerade can come and deliver a nasty leaf storm
weak to steel:x4 weakness to steel this is not a big weaknes but metagross is common so.. and dont forget steel is also resutant to this combo..
weak to ground:lol EQ own
weak to fighting:close combat, focus blast,hp fighting, brick break all say hi
weak to rock(i think):rock slide,stone edge

I think I made a topic about this two years ago for ADV, just for the record.

Anyway, Abomasnow is one to have the short end of the stick. Weak to a lot of common types (Bug, Rock, Fighting, and let's not forget that nasty x4 Fire weak), but it does resist Water moves, Thunderbolt and Earthquake, and gets STAB 100 accuracy Blizzard.

fire bug

fire bug would suck so bad. 4x stealth rock weak and NO spikes immunity, that's 75% damage coming in.

still other than rock it's weaknesses aren't so bad and it's STAB is nice.

anything with a 4x weak is just crap IMO. rock/ice would be the absolute worse though, 4x steel and fighting weak?

dark ice is just crap, if it weren't for weavile's speed he'd be garbage.

ice/grass is probably the worst we have right now. so many retarded weaknesses

Fire/Ice. Sucks defensively, takes 75% from stealth rock and spikes. Doesn't have very many immunities to indirect damage (sandstorm, TS, T wave, toxic, etc). It has quite a few weaknesses too

Poison/Fighting Bug/Flying Grass/Dark or Psychic All 3 either have a huge number of weaknesses, or onevery annoying 4x weakness. (Celebi has both :P)

Rock/Psychic, Grass/Psychic, and Grass/Ice are the three type combos in the game that have seven weaknesses IIRC. The only reason why Solrock and Lunatone don't have seven weaknesses is because of levitate. Otherwise they would be weak to Water, Grass, Ground, Steel, Bug, Ghost, and Dark.

Water/Normal. Why? It does absolutely NOTHING. Grants no extra resistances for Bibarel, only combined weaknesses. -_-;

Yes it does. It grants Bibarel extra turns to switch in from the immunity to ghost, and plus Water/Normal is an amazing offensive type with only Empoleon resisting both.

yeah, fire/rock isn't too good... :P

But if you think about it, even though Ice typing's pretty bad, it has one of the most useful resistances, ice. xD

And about parasect, it may have that fire weakness, but imo, that's not as bad as it seems. It has pretty awesome resistances: ground, fighting, water, electric, and grass. Just come in on something you know doens't have a fire attack and spore. If it has a fire attack, flashfire's there to save ya... :)

And lol at ice/fire... if we're using that logic, why not a fire/grass? * ok, it's actually a good typing, but will it ever see the light? >_>*

Ice/Dragon isn't the best typing; the ice attacks won't do anything the dragon attacks can't do (alright, Ice has better coverage when it comes to super-effectiving things to oblivion, but hey...), and it gets a Rock and Fighting weak. :/

A bad offensive type is Ghost/Dark because Ghost will hit anything (except normal) the same that Dark can with the same damage.

A bad defensive typing IMO is Ice/Bug due to 4X damage to Rock and Fire.
*shudderes at the thought of Stealth Rock*

What? You're saying that Salamence, Garchomp, Heatran, Tyranitar, Gyarados, and Swampert, some of the most dominant Pokemon in the game, are crap?
I think he meant the types, not the pokémon.

Although neither of these types are completely crap (Fire/Steel has a shitload of resistances).

Out of the types that doesn't exist, I suppose Fire/Ice and Fire/Bug would be horrible typings. Fire/Ice does have nice stab, but redundant coverage, though being able to hit dragons is nice.

Among the types that don't exist, I don't like Grass/Flying and Bug/Flying due to the many weaknesses and redundant resistances.

Oh, and Dragon/Flying is actually a cool typing. Despite the deadly Ice weak, that typing has plenty of resistances.

When it comes to typings though, you got to think about it on BOTH offense and defense. For instance, Bug/Fighting has a crap load of weaknesses, but it's freaking amazing on the offensive side so heracross' stabs are awesome! But, if say Heracross were built like a weezing stat-wise, it would be a freaking joke. On the flip side if weezing were built like a heracross it'd be a joke too.

On that note I'd like to propose: Steel/Poison

Crappy as hell on offense AND defense . . . ok, maybe not too bad on defense, but it's 4x weak to ground. :P
Fighting/bug sucks?

Neutral to bolt/beam, resists ground and neutral to rock isn't bad defensively. Its a hell of a lot better than pure ice.

Great Sage

Banned deucer.
grass / psychic.
It's not as much of a death sentence as it seems. The types it is weak to are Fire, Flying, Poison, Bug, Dark, Ghost, and Ice. Out of those, Poison is almost never seen, and Fire, Flying, Ghost, and Bug aren't particularly common either. The Pursuit and Ice Beam weaknesses are annoying, but nothing overly critical. Also consider that Grass/Psychic resists Water, Ground, Fighting, Psychic, Grass, and Electric. While Grass and Psychic aren't overly common, Ground is quite possibly the move abused type in the game, Fighting is another excellent offensive type, Electric is spammed in fear of Gyarados and for STAB on Pokemon like Zapdos, and Water is seen everywhere in the form of Surf. Honestly, Grass isn't that rare either due to the advent of Grass Knot. Grass/Psychic is a lot better than you give it credit for.
