For that matter, there's something I'll never understand about Pokémon (and in general), and that's people who dislike something because of what OTHERS might think of it.
So what if others find something like Lopunny "furry bait" as they say? What do you think of it by yourself alone?
(I personally don't really care. Heck, were it not for the entire flame war about it, I'd struggle to remember it exists)
It's as if I started disliking the Snivy line because the fandom sees it as feminine when I don't. Or that vore artwork I still have no idea why it even exists.
Wait, how can you even assign a snake with no limbs? And also, I don't know where people get the feministic thing about snivy and it's line, because the theme was royal and snobby, so why get female out of a completely female thing? ( maybe serpintine's face? idk ) But really, making a big deal about this stuff and starting a bandwagon of hate against this is just going to make more of it like the de-legalization of booze in America, if you give something so much attention and make all thi stuff about it, it'll just become even more popular. We just need to leave those freaks where they are in the far reaches of the internet, this'll all die down and we won't be plauged with this "sexy" weird renditions of royal and snobby monster plant snakes that don't even have limbs in the later evolutions, and let this go. Ignore the fur bait guys, ignore the rabbits, ignore the snakes, just ignore this so it dies down, and we don't have to worry about this anymore.
Edit: By leaving this be I meant it in a way where we don't interact with it, don't give it attention, and just stop making big campaigns against it. Sometimes trying to isolate the plauge instead of curing it is better.
On topic: i dont understand why people want to make luxray a dark type. Because it has black fur? So that means its edgy and edgy = dark type...? Idk, it just doesnt seem to have the flavor for me, but maybe theres dex stuff that make it fit dark type or something.
I agree with you, since in his dex entries he's supposed to be a noble lion, but ignorant people who don't know better see the pallet and say " Look at those eyes bro and his fur, he's like, soooo evil bro," and they see like that it hunts, like Ironmage said, so they associate with other dark types that hunt. They don't see the noble lion stuff, and focus on the other stuff. Also, having a early dark type like by the 4th gym is wack and kinda throws off the balance of the game maybe ( I'm not good at that field) Really, looking angry and a pallet doesn't make you a dark type, it's what you do, like how mightyena terrorizes people and liepard is spoiled and kind of a jerk and steals stuff.
Edit: Take clement's Luxray from the anime. Luxray is a good guy that always saves clement, and helps everyone else in the party, while the shadow triad's weaviles are assassins, doing shady stuff and taking out various trainers for a bad cause. Some dark types can be trained by the right people to become nice, but they fit better with other bad people, which is their nature, and this applies to luxray too, but as you can see in the anime it doesn't take a long time before he's present, friendly, and easy to adapt and be nice to the other buds. Also , his decks show him as a noble, caring guy that takes care of the entire ecosystem.
