Of course not, you're using 3rd party hardware to do something that's not possible.

Renaming in 5th gen requires a matching OT name, which is impossible to have for non-JP carts if the Pokémon is Japanese (a handful of exceptions makes it impossible to rename the JP Pokémon on a JP game... hahaha).

Oh, I've only done it in fourth gen. I don't have any Japanese 5th gen games and wasn't aware you needed a matching OT there, as you don't require one in 4th gen.

What is Smogon's policy on using an Action Replay to make a clone? (Meaning the Pokemon was obtained ingame legitimately and then the AR was used to clone it.) Just to clarify, I AM NOT doing this with any of my Pokemon, it was something that just came up recently and I wanted to know the policy on it (and if that is even possible... I've never used and AR so I don't know its limits).

I got two shinys in a single wondertrade session this morning, and since no sane person would wondertrade a legit shiny, I'm highly suspicious of them.

Then it's not hacked. Or rather, incredibly unlikely to be hacked.

No, the only event ribbon Heatran can legally have is the Classic Ribbon, from the Oblivia event.

That doesn't guarantee it isn't hacked, as the Pokemon doesn't appear on Pokecheck (or if it does, it's private), so I have no way of checking it.

Just don't select either box, and then in account options, select allow other users to see the legality analysis of my non public Pokémon. That will allow others to view the legality analysis, but they cannot download it.

All I can say is that the genesect is definitely hacked, as shiny genesect can only be hasty, and that celebi is legit, as it looks like the pokebank giveaway celebi :]

Edit: Also, while this is not always true, legends with bad natures/ IV spreads are usually not hacked, as people hack to create good competetive ones, not just crap ones :]
